This is a lovely tribute to my Dad. Thank you so much and to all this have commented, such lovely comments. So very proud of him. Dad will be taking his final lap of honor with us all next week, but his stories of his amazing adventures through life will live on forever through the likes of you all and for that we are forever grateful. Thank you for honoring his memory in this way. Much love. Natalie Robb xx
Thanks That means a lot Was concerned it might offend so thought for a while about wether it was appropriate Having read the love poring from the comments I’m glad I did
A very sad day indeed. I remember Tommy so well when he raced for my dad back in the late 50's and early 60's. He was an absolute gentleman and a very talented rider with top success in the Ulster GP circuit, NW 200 and the Island to name but a few. Such a shame that world championship remained elusive. He really did deserve it. Never forgotten. I have some amazing unpublished pics of him, Ron Langston and Dad on there way to Imola in (I think) 1961. A true hero. Guy Monty
Well I think it’s worth putting out because it seems to have passed by almost un noticed and there aren’t too many left from Britains golden generation of motorcycle races
l saw Tommy Robb riding towards the end of his career from the 1960s, for many of the names , so familiar then, when it was possible to meet those guys in the paddock before racing... It was, for me a golden age of Bike racing...A fitting tribute to a racer who was part of it...
A Great rider and a man of so many amazing stories in the 250 cc class almost unbeatable over his middle years always a smile and a chat your misses Tommy RIP Sir.
I remember him racing the works Bultaco in the 60s, then as a commentator at Oulton Park for which he had great knowledge and an equally great sense of humour. A great character of a golden age. A nice tribute.
I rode the Ulster GP course and the NW200 course, not racing, so it gives me a lot of respect for road racers, men with balls of steel! A great tribute, RIP Tommy Robb.
Having watched him race on the track back in the early 60's. It was a privilege to meet him for a short chat & collect his signature on my programme at a 'classic bike race' a few years back at Silverstone. RIP Tommy ..
RIP. I met him a couple of times at his dealership in Warrington back in the 90s. He gave me some.good service on my Triumph. Seemed a really nice guy.
Just digged out his biography 'From TT to Tokyo' once again, a lovely read. I remember him well as the commentator at Ballacraine in the mid-seventies. Greetings from Germany
Unfotuneately the UGP has gone forever. A massive loss. Way better than the NW200. The racers loved it as it was a very interesting and fast course. I us3d to lve very near, on the earlier UGP long circuit.
Oh no!!!!!!!! What a lovely man - I had the great privilege of meeting him many times when he bought a motorcycle shop in Warrington in the late 1970s. Always friendly with us youngsters, always a happy friendly smile. He's gone to a better place!!! 😢 ruclips.net/video/UgYcuR4hO38/видео.html
WE CAN NOT ALL BE A JOEY DUNLOP BUT WE CAN MAKE A RACE WHERE THE DUNLOPS WIN IN SAD WORDS WE MAKE THE NUMBERS UP IN THIS CASE A TALENTED RIDER JUST DOES THAT WITH A FEW WINNS THROWN IN AND HE AND HIS FAMILY SHOULD BE SO SO PROUD OF A TALENTED RIDER !!

Can hear him now in the commentary box at Ballacraine back in the seventies and early eighties

To win any major GP and finish runner up in a world championship requires a level of talent about which we can only dream
