I've been looking at the 35XX+ for Dreamcast. I don't know much about games on the system, never had it or played it. I know wondered how games like Shenmue, Jet Set Radio SA1 and SA2 would play without any analog stick. What's your thoughts?
I mapped the L analog stick, same as the dpad for some games to make it move. I mean, those games are playable as far as I tested for the initial gameplay, as seen in the video, but having analog sticks obviously makes the gameplay much better.
The Dreamcast library has a really high ratio of good games to crap. Something like half the games are good. For whatever reason just a small amount of crappy games. It's lacking in RPG/Strategy but the handful it has are great. It's really loaded for fighting games and shooters. Virtua Tennis is a sports game that is still well worth playing even if you have access to modern sports games.

Go into settings on retroarch/garlic or whatever you have and change the anisotropic filtering to off when playing Dreamcast games if you can. The resolution will look smoother and you wont get those black lines in certain games like streetfighter. Love the black one btw, could only get the white one at the time. Have you tried the RG35XX/H? Thinking of getting one with thumb sticks for more playability but not sure if its specs are good enough to run the ps2 games i want to play at full framerate or near abouts. 😃
Thanks for the comment! I do have the anbernic rg35xx h. I've done the review and tested 100 n64 games. Those 2 are the latest videos I uploaded. But yea, it's not powerful to run ps2 games, I was struggling to run all ps2 games with a t618 chip, so rg35xx h/plus is not even as powerful as t618 chip, so you can imagine :)

@@BigRetroStudioI know that Jelos on 353 devices defaulted to 320x240 for some reason, as well as ArkOs. Have you tried Batocera on this one though? It's just it's on a discount right now, can't decide if I want another handheld again 😅
I was actually traveling for a while, and when I came back, I immediately had to shift to a new house. Just got settled down today. My rg35xx h is on the way :) (delayed because of all that)

I think you have to go into settings and turn on Change disk automatically. I haven't played that game so much on this but I think there is a setting like that

@bigretrostudio for me IT Crashes from menu. Well then i Play IT on Android 😁 bought the device mainly for jrpg Like suikiden and Skies of arcadia anyway. But shenmue 1 Looks and Plays great even without stick
I returned this console because of one significant flaw - it doesn't have analog stick to comfortably play Dreamcast or PS1 games. Believe me, you don't want using d-pad for that.
@bigretrostudio this was a spontaneous purchase. I was excited to see ps1 emulation on this device. The realization about controls came after 10 minutes of playing. Never thought about this before.

The H700 handles Dreamcast surprisingly well. Rez is probably one of my favourites, and I highly recommend it. Love playing it on my RG35XX H.

Can this handheld runs Sega Rally 2 and Virtual Cop 2? Coz some users said when run this two games, it will squeeze on the Dreamcast logo screen!

I haven't tested a lot to confirm that all the Sega Saturn Games plays well, but as far as I tested, yes. Sega Saturn Games are playable.
