  • Angus Deaton, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of International Affairs, professor of economics and international affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School and author of "The Great Escape: Health, Wealth, and the Origins of Inequality," discussed his book at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
The book chronicles the story of how, beginning 250 years ago, large numbers of people have achieved levels of well-being that were previously available only to a few individuals, and how this achievement has given rise to equally unprecedented inequalities.

We are at a delicate moment in the global economy, emerging powers are uncontrolled and this prevents equitable economic balance.
