My wife had a Disabled badge for 5-6 years, and was never asked once about the badge. But we lived in Northern Europe, perhaps that's why.

Just a small point, a person with a disabled badge cannot just sit in a disabled place, as a disabled person myself, if my wife goes into the store and I don’t, we park in a regular space so that the disabled can access the store themselves.
If this is scripted, tell us up front. My guess most wouldn't bother watching.

Her opinion that his badge doesn't "look" authentic is utterly irrelevant, which she probably knows and is desperate to compensate for. As someone else who has a disability that usually isn't obvious either, this kind of ignorant behavior enrages me.
