Eating the proper foods, regular exercise, staying away from processed foods and refined sugars, exercising the mind/brain, staying away from too much screen time and technology, fresh air, ridding of toxic habits and toxic people. Basic things you need for a true healthy lifestyle. You’ll feel happier both mentally and physically for life if it’s consistent.
@@carmenjimenez1451 I said those were the “basic things”. That’s what a human body needs. Never once did I say that treating yourself is damaging or not necessary.
"Staying away from process foods and refined sugars" sounds like pure perfectionism and restriction which influence eating disorders. So where's the health and balance in that? That's probably why she rebelled and ate a lot of processed foods.
By "wellness culture" she probably means the narcissist that is _Gwyneth Paltrow._ Working closely with a narc for so many years will definitely make you bury your own voice and rebel when you leave. She works! She's a business woman and an actress she got an oscar! That's work and hard work! At least she didn't live off her parents money like Lisa Marie Presley and did nothing for the world
"Its not financially attainable to people." Ever thought it's targeted at rich women who holiday in the Hamptons and enjoy their Goop cleanses there? There is a target market for everyone. I am almost 40. Couldn’t understand why I was thin but had a very protruding belly of fat. I think you run into trouble when you take anything to extremes. I used to love to talk about health and wellness stuff and give my 2 cents whenever someone would talk about how crappy they were felling. Now I realize that most people just need to vent and don’t really need a or want your advice, especially when it comes to wellness. So these days I’m pretty tight lipped about it🤐, plus since COVID started, wellness become the least of my worries 😆🥺.
Exactly complain about being tired and restless whilst their plate is full of fries and processed meat and they haven’t worked out in 3 years 🙄 now I just say “that’s crazy” and change the subject.
“Dubious health benefits” I don’t vouch for everything Goop but Yoni eggs are not as bad as walking into a supermarket were the “beef” is actually horse meat and the vegetables are sprayed with pesticides and the milk is legally allowed 8-9% cow blood and puss as long as it’s not visibly detectable to the consumer. Why don’t you report on big pharma and they’re “dubious health claims” GMA 🤷🏽♀️ if people are taking wellness to unwellness you can’t blame that on Goop. That was happening before Goop and it will happen after it. People have a mind of their own.
If it’s toxic then it’s not wellness. YOU took it too far with trends and unrealistic expectations. YOU allowed others to determine what wellness was for you. Sorry not sorry, I can’t pity this. The company you worked for was toxic not wellness culture.
No, she’s right to call out “wellness” culture- it’s not about moderation, it’s about extremism, and that’s never healthy. Unfortunately a lot of people have developed orthorexia, have stopped getting vaccinated, and are doing things that are detrimental to their heath. That’s the pervasive culture that needs to stop, because they’re doing the exact oppose of what they supposedly espouse, and that’s never healthy.
These are choices. Nobody held a gun to her head. You should choose things that serve you and ignore others. It sounds like she has an eating disorder. This is different than wellness.

Gweneth Paltrow has aged significantly from her bone broth diet. Oops needs to get a new spokesperson and the crazy folks who buy into her wellness fad need to wake up.
Yet another horrible person who was complicit in duping others so long as it worked for them. Conveniently, now it doesn't, and she just happens to have a book and podcast to hawk, which she's doing with sensationalism. Diabolical.
It’s really not that serious. Do you’re gullible enough to see Goop as a Bible as opposed to a blog, then that’s on you. As a wellness brand, Goop is going to promote all sorts of things that are meant to be taken as considerations. Do your own research and have the common sense to know if something would be beneficial to you or not. If it’s sounds ridiculous don’t do it. If it’s out of your price range, move on. They clearly state they are not health professionals. Y’all are wild lol.

I know, maybe we can all just be positive all the time, that will make us strong-minded.
Anything that tries to get money out of you is toxic.
It's interesting that this story cites difficult leadership, when Elise was the bulk of the difficult leadership.
I agree. And they want the easy button.
Exactly complain about being tired and restless whilst their plate is full of fries and processed meat and they haven’t worked out in 3 years 🙄 now I just say “that’s crazy” and change the subject.
Since CONVID started, "wellness" she be the MOST of your worries! ;0)
@@falloutgirl902 Wow, way to be passive-aggressive and judgmental. You're part of the reason the wellness community is so toxic.
TBH I never heard of this company. She could have chosen a better name but she stuck with Goop??? Really???
IMO It doesn’t sound appealing or healthy. Clearly other people disagree though.
Lol I like how you’re bashing the name. So what if the name. Really????
@@marriejames01 it’s stupid af. In the black culture, goop means to take and steal.
This is a rich white women's problem.
I tried the goop diet, it was way tooo restrictive. I hated it,
Is this satire?? The Onion is salivating over this headline.
Gwyneth is a beautiful woman, but unlike her mother she has aged so badly. I would never buy Goop products or follow her advice.
employees getting low pay... what an surprise.. NOT
If it’s toxic then it’s not wellness. YOU took it too far with trends and unrealistic expectations. YOU allowed others to determine what wellness was for you. Sorry not sorry, I can’t pity this. The company you worked for was toxic not wellness culture.
But that was exactly her point.
Quick fixes like destination vs journey talk
Extremes are toxic
Like when Gwen ghosted Drew Barringmore when she asked for advice on having a wellness business 😶
These are choices. Nobody held a gun to her head. You should choose things that serve you and ignore others. It sounds like she has an eating disorder. This is different than wellness.
It is toxic. Celebs pushes products with high price tag to get even richer? Pushing products that can not deliver because they cant! So she is toxic too
I agree I used to fast pretty much had a big breakfast a shake than a early dinner with exercise and let me say it was draining becus I was always worried about if what I was eating was healthy what it had in it like a eating disorder so no just becus it’s good for u doesn’t mean it’ll bring u happiness it just stresses u out
Life is a buffet. You have your plate and you listen and learn from different philosophies and practices. You add a little of this and a little of that to your plates. You do what is right for you. No one is forcing you be involved in programs that will hurt you. Use your brain and intuition.
Social location is the key to everything.
Same with Poosh and All-in. They are just trying to cash in on their "fame".
Daaaaang! They say health but it’s more like, do whatever to be thin which is not healthy at all, it’s the opposite!
Noooo really??? Who'd thought🤦♀️
Ever since WeWork and that weird culture of being able to "connect and build community" with capitalism where her cousin tried to sell this lifestyle , I've been VERY skeptical of Gwyneth and Goop. I'm glad my intuitions were right. 🤣
I also think that like, mercury and radium is like, toxic, like.... for real
it's not really the food. it's that critical, perfectionist, self-righteous, moralistic personality type. case in point, it's the difference between normal vegans and crazy ones.
What normal is for someone, for others might be not normal, so social location is the key to everything.
Anything can be toxic. Moderation is key. Duh.
People just need to learn what is bulls@#$ to make money and what is not
LMAO Ol HorseTeeth was the Cringiest person on the Goop Netflix show, trippin on mushrooms talkin bout " I just realized Im a Cliche" like wtffff
Sounds like someone was fired.
Good news, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me."Revelation 3:20 Please think about it. Believe in God's son Jesus today, repent of your sin, dont be left behind. Love Y'all
So in other words "Goop" is literal goop. 😂
eating is the new diet
😁
Goop is financially unattainable??!?! Noooooo
Oh brother. You should listen to her when she was still drinking the pool aid
Their leader made a candle that smells like her downstairs. She’s clearly a cult leader.
Instead of "talking to our bodies" let's talk to other people. Stop being self-centred
Claims? It’s also part of the alt right pipeline
Sorry, but this seems to be so shallow and I am confused by this whole story here because of it.
Yup. I see why ppl get EDs.
What’s Toxic about living better lol, but the expense of some of the stuff though but then I will a toxic Goop culture, not a toxic wellness culture
Diabolical.
Elise is beautiful. She reminds me of supermodel Saskia de Brauw.
Goop even name is annoying
Never heard of Goop
It’s really not that serious. Do you’re gullible enough to see Goop as a Bible as opposed to a blog, then that’s on you. As a wellness brand, Goop is going to promote all sorts of things that are meant to be taken as considerations. Do your own research and have the common sense to know if something would be beneficial to you or not. If it’s sounds ridiculous don’t do it. If it’s out of your price range, move on. They clearly state they are not health professionals. Y’all are wild lol.
Lol and her products are toxic

“The female body was never supposed to be smooth, firm and flawless. It was designed to create life, to host life, to feed life.
Yes there are many other amazing aspects to us all but underpinning our fight to retain a ‘figure’, is a whole network of genetics, science and an entire evolutionary process which wants to create, store and produce fat for protection and hormonal health. If you are losing a battle for slimness, do not for a moment think this is your fault. You are trying to blow away the wind.
Feed yourself well, physically, mentally and spiritually, and then enjoy your life with the vessel you inhabit. It’s a one shot only thing. Peace, laughter and acceptance are the best medicines around.”

God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers & idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." I eat like a pig during the week but fast every Saturday ... fasting does wonders for the body and everyone should do it... but health and wellness eating during the course of your entire life is unattainable...
