Plus gwyneth said she leaves it on till it starts to tingle. The tingling sensation on the skin means the skin isnt reacting well to the product, it may be too abrasive, acidic, burning, etc. I wouldnt suggest trying out ANYTHING this woman says, not to mention 99% of what she uses are her own products.
Never ever saw a celebrity do their skincare right. They be mixing something with their sunscreen, using a serum after moisturizer, using an exfoliating toner as makeup remover, using thick moisturizers when breaking out and so on.
OlyaOlechka C. I noticed that too! I was curious about that? How long did it take to calm her skin down. She should have mentioned that it can inflame the skin for a little bit.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. But if not, then let's be real. You know she uses other things too and has other nips and tucks done. Goop isn't doing the major pushing here. No hate on her, actually. I really like her, and find her adorable.
you can use a gentle exfoliator everyday if you want. depending on skin type. don’t tell other people what to do because you have no idea what your talking about and that bothers me so much.
Once a week is ok.Her skincare routine is wrong .She should use the mask after doing exfoliate. She doesn't use toner, essence, serum. These things can help the cream penetrating in the skin.
I Am Enough If the product is specifically designed to be used daily, it means that it is mild enough not to over exfoliate. But she takes a product that is meant to be used 3 times a week and uses it 7 times a week. That product was not designed for every day use. Doing that over exfoliates the skin and leads to dryness and possibly even more issues (damaged skin barrier).
I Am Enough there are a lot of products that are for marketed as daily exfoliation but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for your skin. It can cause micro abrasions (if it’s manual) and damage your lipid layer - Especially if it’s something not designed for daily use.
Yes she shouldn’t exfoliate everyday especially if the directions even say use up to 3 times a week. Abrasive exfoliants (physical) used every day can cause micro tears in the skin...but then again she is rich so she can do whatever the hell she wants...😝
I believe moisturizer is necessary, regardless of the environment & the weather. Gwyneth is missing a key component from her skincare regimen. Funny how she makes it a priority to exfoliate everyday, but not moisturize 😃
I can't believe how awful people in the comments are... How tf does she look old. She looks so natural and healthy. I am so sick of people commenting and criticizing other people's appearance, especially women.
@Liat-exactly, truly warped realities these people live in. FaceTune is NOT how people actually look!!! That’s the problem, though, is that people spend so much of their days on social media, thus conditioning themselves subconsciously that this is somehow reality when it’s not. I’m not an avid Gwyneth defender, but I gotta defend her here. She’s someone who enjoys spending a lot of time outdoors, so of course she will not have perfect, ageless skin. I’d rather be her than someone who avoids the sun for vanity purposes. Your next 24 hours is not guaranteed, so you have to enjoy life and nature while you can and not stress over stupid shite like how many “supposed” wrinkles someone has on their face.
I dont know what they think a woman should look like going on 50... i would be more than happy to be this beautiful when i'm 47... it just shows how brain washed we are when it comes to aging naturally... it really makes me sick to my stomach how we are made to belief that aging naturally is something to hide and be ashamed for... the alternative to aging is dying... so i think aging is pretty nice ....
Why not Juliette Lewis? She outacts them all, including Brad Pitt, who couldn´t act even if his Life depended on it. But Gwyneth has an Academy Award though.
She relies on the efficacy of Purslane in her products. It’s used typically in ancient Chinese medicine for healing and also in Asian skincare. Purslane is a weed I’ve got quite a few Korean products with it included and it didn’t cost me $200 ☺️
The Goop Exfoliating Instant Facial is a nightmare of a product and wouldn’t be going anywhere near my skin. The 3rd is lemon juice but it also contains Bergamot, Lavender and Lemon oil. And the list just goes on. Only Bella Thorne’s routine has made me cringe so bad.
I have no opinion of her at all. She is a woman sharing some products on a video. But looking at the hateful and just pointless negative comments really shows how miserable many people are. Instead of writing horrible things toward someone you don’t even know, maybe try and do something nice for yourself or somebody else and try to heal that infected soul.
dude, she doesn't give a ratass for you. her store is for super rich people. but, you can find the same stuff at your Chinese local neighborhood for the tenth of her price.

So you have no opinion at all of someone that willingly and knowingly spreads misinformation and sells potentially dangerous products. Yep, that tells us about all we need to know about you.
From what I understand, physical exfoliants, like scrubs, can actually aggravate skin and cause fine lines which leads to wrinkles. It's better to use a BHA or AHA, every other day.
I like it better when it goes without makeup because it feels closer, more familiar. I particularly love her as a person, when she smiles I feel like she looks so honest, like a grandmother, a mother, a granddaughter or a sister when she smiles I smiled 💕✨
Awww she looks lovely and it was not all out goop. She shared other companies that she believes in . I’m 50 and I wish when I was younger I took better care of my skin. Moisture & sun in moderation!!!
Here’s the best tip I have and it’s cheap too.....I still get I.D’d when I buy wine (I’m 50)....use white rice flour to exfoliate gently every couple of days. It’s very fine and makes the skin glow. Avoid, caffeine, alcohol (I know I buy wine ! lol) , caffeine, sugar, make homemade bone broth every week store in freezer and use it to make healthy veggie soups. It has collagen in it to hydrate and plump the skin. Take COD LIVER OIL, it has vitamin D and it helps with healthy bone mass which is proven to strengthen elasticity in the skin. People with wrinkles are known to have pore bone mass. Keep stress levels DOWN by exercising and spending time in nature.
LizziChiVegan I had a simular shampoo from Lush - and it can be really nice. Remember - these products are made to be used on skin, so they are not abrassive. Salt melts in water - and just as with a physical exfoliation for face or body, you need to rinse well after the scrub. So start the shower with a scalp scrub and you should be fine and "salt free" once you've finished your shower. (Although I would no recommend a salty scalp scrub for a quick-rinse shower)
After seeing this video and her morning routine video I think they're more for her to push products and for entertainment than an actual skin care routine because if you know anything about skincare you're not supposed to exfoliate all like night and day like that
A soft facewash/exfoliator/, WATER, some good oil , a bit of eyecream - that's quite inexpensive and affordable - and you get the same glowing skin Gwyneth has. What a beautiful and natural woman she is!
Just for fun, here are some far more affordable alternatives that will do the same thing. You can buy Himalayan salt even at the dollar store, grind it so it’s more fine, toss it into a conditioning shampoo. But here is my main pet peeve, bath scrubs that are ridiculously overpriced. You are paying for the name and packaging. Sea salt, again from the dollar store or grocery store, is pennies on the dollar, toss in some olive oil, or coconut oil, couple drops of lavender oil, and you’ve got a lovely body scrub for cheap. Now let’s talk about skin care, if you are in Gwennie’s age range, good old fashioned cold cream is your new best friend. I’ll let her get away with the fancy acid peel mask part, but there’s a fabulous cold cream by Garnier, rose scented, but they call it a three in one mask, is really cold cream but looks more fancy. Do your fancy pants, over priced acid peel, followed by a soothing Garnier mask. Apply generously to the face, it feels amazing! Let it set for at least ten minutes, but it doesn’t matter really. Take a clean wash cloth in hot water and remove mask. I haven’t gotten to the rest of this video, but if she mentions bath salts, once again, $65 for 8 oz of bath salts is insanity, or however much she charges. Mix Epsom salts with sea salt. The trick with really getting muscle relief with an Epsom salt bath is that you have to use a lot! Not a microscopic spoon full, not a little handful probably worth 15 dollars. If you read the instructions on the container of Epsom salts, it says to use 2/3 of the container! Put together a bucket, add baking soda and a few drops of lavender oil, another staple in your arsenal of relaxation tools. If she mentions body oil that was obtained from the hands of virgins in the fairy land where unicorns still live, don’t bother. You can get any kind of oils, jojoba, grape seed, whatever, on amazon, and add a few drops of lavender oil. Not saying that you should completely deny yourself of these kinds of fancy pants spa treats, just make sure that you balance it with more affordable options as well. Check out Pacifica as well, they are just killing it with their skin care, hair care and body care. Just picked up the blue tansy facial oil that is a cheaper version of the Sunday Riley Luna oil that costs over $100. The Pacifica one also has rose in it and is only $16 and I love it!! So Gwennie, if you’re reading this, just remember that it’s really the little people like me, you know, the ones that buy their handbags from Target, or, brace yourself, a thrift store, that really need these kinds of things, so perhaps when you are feeling more generous, you might think about making things more affordable.
for body scrub: castile soap liquid 1/2cup, 2cup sea salt(not table salt) , 1/2cup oil (mineral oil or your fav lotion,( but not coconut/olive- it will deteriorate after 2days))
Truly appreciate all the excellent alternative suggestions for us "Normal Folks"😉:) I even use plain ole' baking soda for a gentle facial scrub, followed by good old-fashioned olive oil, plus plenty of mineral based sun-screen in the am~folks ask me frequently what I do to keep my skin looking so very healthy at the age of almost 55... Definitely will also be checking out that Pacifica line as heard it is amazing❣!!
According to the morning skincare regimen she did with Vogue, she allegedly also uses “good glow Microderm exfoliant” in the morning too. I’m honestly surprised she has enough skin left on her face to be dry! Especially when she did nothing to actually hydrate, and just slapped on oil. Or, she’s lyinggggg….
Tingling on your skin is a bad sign, not a sign that a product is working. You're simply increasing inflammation and irritation. Also, if one tries to avoid sulfates in hair care products, a sea salt scalp scrub is somewhat anathema.
Hopefully someone at Harper's is still monitoring comments on this video, but aside from loving these videos, does anyone know anything about Gwyn's necklace? Sure would appreciate knowing the brand name. Thanks!
She’s just really blonde as in naturally blonde! Her eyelashes and brows are really blonde and her complexion is super fair so it makes her appear older looking but she’s not it’s just like with me I wear mascara but when I take off my brow makeup and mascara I look really weird cuz my brows and lashes are naturally like a brownish blondish reddish color like my hair! Plus I’m really rosy cheeked without any makeup coverage! Gwyneth looks fine....she’s a great actress it’s just no one probably knew how blonde she was but she’s naturally a blonde no bleach in her hair at all!
I understand having a problem with her brand and those expensive gimmicks but people are getting so mean and getting away with it just because she is a celebrity. It's her skin, her life....state your opinions and be kind to other humans, it's the best thing you can be.
As a 40 year old someone with problematic skin (simultaneously prone to acne and dehydrated, wonderful combo), I made the most wonderful discovery lately: the less you do to your skin, the better. My skin was never better than during quarantine, when I sometimes even forgot even washing it. Wash it with a gente product, apply a cheap simple moisturizer, done. Washing and exfoliating in 1.000 ways and layering products afterwards unbalances the skin and makes everything worse.
Thanks for the video and how you thoughtfully showed your routine. Details are appreciated. The scrub you used to clean your face along with Vintners Daughter are especially of interest since I haven’t tried either but heard so much good about both. Again, I’m grateful. ☝🏼
I used to exfoliate every day and my skin looked and felt amazing. My favourite exfoliator has been discontinued, and ever since I am struggling to find a good exfoliator. Any ideas?
A new bottle or tub was clearly placed for demonstration purposes because it looks more elegant and it's more aesthetic that way. Obliviously we're not dumb.
Not with those bones she doesn't. With underpinnings like that she won't look 70 until she's 90 and that's something you can't say about everyone else.
PSA!! Always apply eye cream with your ring finger! The skin around your eyes is very sensitive and since the ring finger is the weakest (in strength) it’s better to use it around your eyes rather than your middle or pointer
To me her skin looks red and inflamed. She should lay off using all those products and just use a simple moisturizer on her face for a couple of months!
What's with all the scrubbing? Any dermatologist will tell you physical scrubs are bad for your skin. Plus that oil made my always calm skin break out in little spots. Smells nice though - I use it as a scent now.
the way she applies her exfoliating cream all over her face including eye area seems a bit rough which makes me cringe....I think that's the only thing I'm not convinced on.
Can anyone tell me for lips and eyelids...how would we clean them...I mean usually when we wash our face we neglect them because the skin is different but how do I exfoliate those areas??? Is going over the lips fine and eyelids???
I didn't like her Oscar win but I like that she obviously has no problem showing up without make up and being filmed from the unflattering mirror-side.
Amazing to see a celebrity whose forehead actually moves when she talks and shows expression unlike the frozen puffy faces of Chrissy Teigen and Khloe Kardashian. This lady is 50 and looks incredible and her skin speaks for itself so idk why so many"experts" in the comments are criticizing her routine. Amazing without botox and fillers!
I use vitamin A hospital cream after chemo it helped my red blotches and Sukin oils all natural and I exfoliate once a week if that I'm 50 yrs old and drink heaps of water eat well
Her routine seems nice, but if it says 3 times a week, then don’t use it every night. It will destroy your skin barrier. Trust me, I destroyed mine and my skin was flakey for more than weeks! 😱
Good Lawd... If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, People. Some of you Hateful beings could use a little southern manners. Why would anyone take the time to watch video and make horrific comments? If you don't care for someone for no specific reason, don't watch their videos and try getting a life! Love my Goop products! I could make the same stuff from the baking isle and produce in a grocery store. either way I wouldn't have skin left to treat after I scrubbed it all off!
Dermatologists do not recommend exfoliating every single day. Do not follow Gwyneth's advice. This is just an infomercial for her products.
I was told to exfoliate everyday, and my skin and never looked better.

for body scrub: castile soap liquid 1/2cup, 2cup sea salt(not table salt) , 1/2cup oil (mineral oil or your fav lotion,( but not coconut/olive- it will deteriorate after 2days))
Truly appreciate all the excellent alternative suggestions for us
"Normal Folks"😉:) I even use plain ole' baking soda for a gentle facial scrub, followed by good old-fashioned olive oil, plus plenty of mineral based sun-screen in the am~folks ask me frequently what I do to keep my skin looking so very healthy at the age of almost 55...
Definitely will also be checking out that Pacifica line as heard it is amazing❣!!
stay poor btch
How did you have time to write all of that?
Thanks
I hate hate hate for the GOOP nonsense. But I do praise her for her confidence and her natural beauty and how her embrace aging. Very graceful
Literally any dermatologist would tell you that you should not mix chemical and physical exfoliants, especially not everyday!
Her skin looks like it’s been through it. It’s not her age. She’s been too harsh to it and doesn’t appear to use SPF.
Which ones she uses? I haven’t seen the video.
I’m like that too- and slapping on oil is a miracle. I have ANAZING skin so
What's with the necklace
Tingling on your skin is a bad sign, not a sign that a product is working. You're simply increasing inflammation and irritation. Also, if one tries to avoid sulfates in hair care products, a sea salt scalp scrub is somewhat anathema.
Dita Von Teese would be great. please?
dita uses eminence products. those are amaizing. i got apricot calendula post skin antibiotic and saw a change in a week....
Hopefully someone at Harper's is still monitoring comments on this video, but aside from loving these videos, does anyone know anything about Gwyn's necklace? Sure would appreciate knowing the brand name. Thanks!
Rich people are always so clean
smiling zombies
She’s just really blonde as in naturally blonde! Her eyelashes and brows are really blonde and her complexion is super fair so it makes her appear older looking but she’s not it’s just like with me I wear mascara but when I take off my brow makeup and mascara I look really weird cuz my brows and lashes are naturally like a brownish blondish reddish color like my hair! Plus I’m really rosy cheeked without any makeup coverage! Gwyneth looks fine....she’s a great actress it’s just no one probably knew how blonde she was but she’s naturally a blonde no bleach in her hair at all!
Himalayan "Sea" Salt? If my geography is correct, the shortest distance between the Himalayas and the Bay of Bengal would be at least 900 kilometres!
So,that's not true?
Salt shampoo, innovative not you. Christophe Robin’s shampoo. You just remade it but more expensive.
She is very brave to go with minimal makeup. She looks very fit for her age.
How old is she>
@@dkd24 46
how is she brave?
guys please, she’s absolutely gorgeous
I understand having a problem with her brand and those expensive gimmicks but people are getting so mean and getting away with it just because she is a celebrity. It's her skin, her life....state your opinions and be kind to other humans, it's the best thing you can be.
okay but she looks amazing without makeup
This Dr. Barbara Sturm chick has managed to dupe all these celebs into using her insanely overpriced nonsense.
Sturm
Ben Dover Damn autocorrect. :)
Ridiculous. You couldn’t pay me to try her products. I can’t support money grubbers.
Animal testing 😁
I used to exfoliate every day and my skin looked and felt amazing. My favourite exfoliator has been discontinued, and ever since I am struggling to find a good exfoliator. Any ideas?
Paula's choice maybe
Now if she uses those products all the time why they so full
A new bottle or tub was clearly placed for demonstration purposes because it looks more elegant and it's more aesthetic that way. Obliviously we're not dumb.
MissAdamLambert888 Maybe
I asked myself the same question
Duh
Physical exfoliation and towel rubbing will stretch your skin out and also lose skin elasticity.
Its something weve seen with her latest vogue video, all that exfoliation and lack of sun screen has really damaged her skin
What does “goop” stand for?
How is Gwyneth Paltrow still allowed a platform to talk about skincare?
She’s a natural beauty. Looks fresh and gorgeous without makeup. To those trolls making nasty comments, shame on you.
This is just an advertisement for goop 😂 expensive !
Alison Jones why wouldn’t she use her own products?
That's so Shannon Totally! Of course she's going to use *some* of her own products. Plus she used a bunch of non-goop products. It was a good balance
That's so Shannon calm down dear 😂
Wouldn't it have been even weirder if she wasn't using her own product line?
She’s so naturally gorgeous
Is that our pepper potts? Jezz i love her
So overall it’s a goop commercial
Without the makeup and lighting she looks like everyone else
Well, she is a human just like everyone else you know
Not with those bones she doesn't. With underpinnings like that she won't look 70 until she's 90 and that's something you can't say about everyone else.
She’s so pretty - I love her face beautiful
Thx for doing this video! Who makes the robe she’s wearing? It looks so soft & cozy! 💖
PSA!! Always apply eye cream with your ring finger! The skin around your eyes is very sensitive and since the ring finger is the weakest (in strength) it’s better to use it around your eyes rather than your middle or pointer
i think she should use the eye and face cream before the oil based serum..the water based creams wont penetrate the oil very well
Your so beautiful and youthful looking naturally gorgeous
Thank you for sharing this was calming and great to watch
3:35 me after completing one assignment all week for these quarantine classes
so basically it's just her promoting her expensive products....
She is naturally beautiful and does not look all botoxed up! 💕😜
I use that instant exfoliating facial a lot too. It’s really amazing 😉
bs
I like her. Her voice is so soothing and i can feel she's down to earth kind of person ❤
Oh how this did not age well.
I think she’s everywhere BUT down on earth.
Finally someone who uses actual water for washing her skin
I love her so much and i love goop and screw all of yall who say that she sucks well she doesnt and i think she is an amazing actress
First time I've ever seen her without any makeup....she looks normal, like everyone else.
I know I say it every time I see a video of her, but she’s amazing!
Can anyone tell me for lips and eyelids...how would we clean them...I mean usually when we wash our face we neglect them because the skin is different but how do I exfoliate those areas??? Is going over the lips fine and eyelids???
With a gentle creamy cleanser
If you're gonna exfoliate that much every day your skin is gonna be on the dry side. Where's the cleansing step aswell 😭
Gwyneth Paltrow is so pretty. She looks so young. I like her movies ❤️
Keep on keeping on, GP! Your products have done wonders for my skin!
It's cute how happy she looks.
Remember what she does for a living
‘’Me after another day of doing the absolute bare-minimum’’
'Of convincing rich white women to buy candles that smells like my vagina'
She beautiful with no makeup on!
I LOVE HER! And that instant facial is AMAZING! Worth every penny! ❤️
rlly? you bought it?
c’mon gwyneth I know this is just you 😒
I could make the same stuff from the baking isle and produce in a grocery store. either way I wouldn't have skin left to treat after I scrubbed it all off!
You are still beautiful without make up on and oh! Those gorgeous blue eyes! I always watch your ON THE ROAD AGAIN: SPAIN with Mario
How is her skin still on her face after 42 exfoliations per week
