Eric, it's a treat to have these "bite size" videos available, so one can watch, then reflect and evaluate these techniques at one's own pace. Thank you once again, from Florida.
I like your philosophy of no drill holes in the van! Thank you for being thorough in your video, e.g. how to used removable sealant, duct tape, etc.. I want to model my future van build after yours. 🕊
I've just watched all of your videos to date. I have been on the fence about getting some kind of camper. Your videos are inspiring. Very clever, simple and inexpensive. Thanks much.
I desperately want a van and to convert it myself, but the more conversations I watch the more I’m put off by how complicated it is. You have completely changed my mind, this is exactly the type of video series that I’ve been looking for. You simplify everything and have some brilliant simple ideas. Thank you! Keep the videos coming! Subscribed!
I am very grateful to you for sharing your many years of experience. I have been saving for a Sienna. Can't wait to start my adventures. Muchas Gracias! ♥
Thank you for your comment. It is much appreciated. Reading comments like yours is a source of motivation to keep producing videos! Enjoy your new project! I am glad to be part of it! You will be so happy with your minivan converted! Enjoy! 😃✌️
Eric. Sorry for all the questions. Hope you do another video on your electrical hook ups inside your van as well as what battery you are using to run everything. Nate
I'm totally obsessed with the simplicity and elegance of your build. Thank you for explaining things clearly and thoroughly. Your sketches! Genius! What I'd love to know more about: the shower, the table, the overall electric set up. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos; they're super helpful.
These videos are exactly what I've been looking for, thanks. Hope you will show how you wired the solar to batteries and plug-ins, etc. I especially like your build made with the ability to easily remove and install in the next van and/or putting seats back in when needed or time to say good bye to it. I hope you can find the time to make more instructional videos. Cheers.
Seen a lot van conversion and vanlife video. And yours IS the best ! Subject specific content for each video, Great. Drawings, diagrams, explanations and camera angels all work together perfectly. A great series !! A power, electrical, lighting video would make a great next video. Thank you for your work and contribution.
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and showing them such that they are easy to understand. I have a dream of building a campervan and you have nailed it. I am going to copy yours. You win the van conversion contest. ;) Looking forward to your video on solar setup. I just discovered you, subscribed and watched all your videos. Thanks!!!
Brian (below) said exactly what I'm thinking. These are the most informative and inspirational videos I've seen on minivan conversion, and I especially like how everything is done in a way that does not damage or modify the underlying vehicle. Well done...keep it up! The community needs more of this. 👍
Thanks buddy! Yes I am still alive and kicking! 😃 To much enjoying good outdoors time... No! It can never be too much! 😉 Just missing video editing time during summer time... Thanks for your comment! ✌️
After watching hundreds of van conversions here is your brilliant work! I have to look no further. I am following your work and journey keeping an eye out for a vehicle and looking forward to pretty much copying your build, it’s genius!
Toyota Sienna is a great choice, you’re bed idea is well thought out and very functional. Passenger seat needs to be able to swivel for extra seating. Thanks Eric, I look forward to seeing your next video.
Hi Erik I am in New Zealand. I have watched so many van conversion videos over the last 2 years and I find myself coming back to yours as I really like the way you seem to have simplified the process to a very user friendly and effective design. Thankyou for all your experience and expertise!!😊
Hey Eric! Another great video! I am still working on my ford transit connect. I went with a slideout style couch bed. I am disabled from back issues and having a full time couch/bed for me makes the most sense. Built it out of oak 2x2's for the framing and pine 1x4 slats. 28" x 72" and opens out to about 45"x 72". 2 turnbuckles hold it inplace to the frame of the van. It is 2 separate pieces one weighs about 25lbs the other maybe 15lbs. I tried to figure the best design to keep it light but strong. Working on the galley, will have 2 turnbuckles as well to hold it in place. 6 gallon water can for running water once i get it working lol. I put a maxxfan deluxe on the roof because the van is dark blue...let me tell you with just the front windows open an inch (I have those rain covers on my window) and the vent open, not even running it is much cooler in the van when in direct sun. I have an idea to try for something to leave the front windows open maybe 5" while sleeping with screens for more air flow. ttyl
Hey Deryk! ✌️ I am happy to ear news of you and your van conversion. You have great reflection about saving weight! Your van look great from your explanation! For your ventilation and windows, I do have a good tested system! I will explain and show in a video! I am really happy to see your progress! Great job!👍
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Ventilation here on the east coast, because of humidity is so important. Years back I had a fiberglass camper trailer. First summer I went somewhere that didn't have electricity and didn't allow generators it was a hot muggy day and the night it rained. I couldn't use the fantastic fan the trailer came with and I didn't really sleep well. When I got home I went on a forum I belonged to and someone suggested the maxxfan deluxe because of it's design it can be left open in the rain and the insides stays dry. I never closed it on the camper trailer, and it's been open in the van for the last month and a half and knock on wood it's still dry inside lol.
Yes Deryk you are right. Ventilation is the basic of temperature and humidity control. It’s the basic of a good night sleep. Opening and getting outside air is a must. A good combination of opening and ventilation will give good results. If there is no breezes, or no enough windows to open, using a fan is a must.
Excellent! I'd love more info about your converter, battery or batteries and storage of the batteries. Also would love your recommendations on fabric for window coverings and bedding given moisture.
Hello Pam! I will do a video series about the electric system. For the window covering, this video should follow shortly... For the bedding I use a feather duvet because it his very confortable. If you use a synthetic, it dry faster. Hey Eric I really love the work you have done with that van. I want you to do a video on your ventilation system. I will be stealth camping the city during the week. Hot humid weather here in Arkansas.
This is a good summer video suggestion Brenda! Yes I will try to do this video shortly! Yes Arkansas is hot and humid in summertime. I do remember a hot and steamy summer trip along the Mississippi River... A very nice place to enjoy historical sites! 😃 Thank you for your comment Brenda! ✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Hi there Eric. I second Brenda's request for a ventilation system video. Florida girl here and the summers are brutally hot and humid. Thanks for all your wonderful videos.
This is really good----could you also show us how you have your electrical set up inside? I'm very interested in how you did your light ropes and what you used and then also whatever else you're powering. Also, I'm very interested in how you secured everything inside----I'm a little worried about what would happen in a crash but I know you've thought about that. Thank you for these videos!
I love it. Thank you. Just a few questions: Will you be selling an ebook with instructions? where do you go to the Bathroom at night? Is there a porta potty in the car that I didn’t see? How do you keep fresh air flowing in the van at night when you’re sleeping, and keep the bugs out?
Thank you for all those videos suggestions. I will do videos about them. To go to the toilet, I use a pee jar. But if you want a porta potty, there is certainly a way to fit that with compromise on the layout... Thank you for your comment! 👍
@@ericenjoysearth2756 yes I also would love this video! Thanks Eric, from Rochester, New York. I love your videos I've watched them all and the only thing I could ask for is a video about all the battery and electrical stuff. Thanks again your videos are the best!
Hi Eric, I am using your videos for a Sienna build. You have inspired me to get out for some adventures and given an affordable way to so it! v Your plans are so well thought out and you explain them so clearly! Can you do a video on how you diid your electrical system? Thank you
Thanks for another great idea...maybe I'll decide to upgrade to solar! I sold the Transit, bought my Sienna, and I've been building my bed. It is inspired by your bed, but quite different. When I'm finished, I'll send you a pic. I had been thinking of just getting a small foldable solar and putting it outside via the sunroof on occasions when I needed to charge (I usually go home on the weekends and my 125 amp AGM seems to hold enough power for most of the week.) But seeing your solution makes me want to upgrade to permanent. It's at the bottom of the list, though! Finished floor, bed is in process (sleeping on the floor for the time being...), and then it's time to figure out the cabinet/sink piece. I think I'll be trying to copy your plan for that as much as possible. And I still need your table connection solution!! How many cans of that removable silicone did you need for that project?
Hey! Hello Wendy! It’s a pleasure to get some news!😃 Congratulations for your Sienna!👍 I used 1 or 2 cans of the sealant... just don’t remember...(?!) You have a good battery! Good choice! If you use a fridge, you most likely need a solar solution. If you don’t, you are probably ok the way you operate. There’s one thing that is really important, it’s to be sure not to go lower then 80% of your battery charge. Otherwise, you will damage the battery and it will not last long... I really do not regret my solar set up. It is really efficient and I am 100% autonome. I used a 100 watts solar panel. It is pretty efficient! Enjoy doing that cool project! It is so fun designing a van conversion! Give me some news! ✌️
Merci!
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Hi Eric, can you provide steps/video links to how you made your rooftop solar shower? And how do you keep it pressurized? Thanks! Great videos!
Wow Eric, very inspiring! I am about to design my own and your ideas are very practical. I am going to borrow them! Could you give the details on your roof rack system? It looks as though you extended it over the side, how many inches? How did you make it so wide? And safe? Thanks again!
Thank you for taking the time to produce your very informative videos. I have used your bed design in my van. Do you have any regrets buying Renogy products? I'm thinking of installing a solar system. I'd love to see your video on this too.
Congratulation for your bed project realized! So for I am doing good with Renogy. Thank you for your feedback and for the video suggestion. I will definitely do a video series about the electric system 👍😃
Can you provide purchasing details on the 2 extended roof rack crossbars? I am planning to install a solar panel too and place a similar roof box on the cross bars. My existing cross bars can only accommodate a roof box.
@@ericenjoysearth2756 thank you. I did the same bed design, kitchen and sink like yours on my 2000 Honda Odyssey. Not able to make the side cabinet but was able to construct 2 cubbies against the 2 rear side windows
Hi Eric... I think your videos are great. We just purchased a Honda Odyssey to convert to a camper van so your videos have been a big help. I was wondering what battery system you use and what refrigerator you are using and do you ever run out of electricity to keep to keep the refrigerator running. Thanks
Congratulations for your Odyssey! I use an agm deep cycle battery and solar power. My fridge is an arb. I never lack electricity. I will do a video to explain the electrics... Thank you for your comment!✌️
Hey Eric, thanks for all your great videos! I like your van conversion: efficient and elegant 👍🏼. What is the wattage of your solar panel to run your fridge? Also what's your fridge model? Can you do a video about how you find spot to spend the night and advice? Thanks
I preferred, having the foldable Solar Pannel plus cabel to Powerstation. Both can stand wherever I like. As with yours you always need to stand with sun on your roof to load it.. we have 35°C in summer. So much to hot, so I park in the shadow and Solarpannel can stand in the sun
The thing, for me, is that I will not stay beside my van very long... always walking, freediving, surfing, canoeing,... Thanks for sharing another idea and point of view✌️
Would like to see something about your electrical system, cooler choice (since solar and cooler were $$ on your budget), also the construction and choice for the sink cabinet and sink pump setup (which is also part of the electrical)
Good video subjects! I can assure you that I will do those videos. They are on my to do list. Thank you for the suggestions. It help to prioritize wish video to do next! Thank you ✌️
Thanks for another great video Eric. : ) I would like to know what criteria you have for choosing travel vehicles? And what positives/negatives have you observed with your Toyota van?
I will do a video about this. I can tell you that the first criteria is reliability! What ever can be the van, if it is no reliable, it is going to be a nightmare! So far I only enjoyed my Sienna, had no problem with it since 3 years that I own it. Toyota is pretty reliable. This is my fourth one! Thank you for your appreciation! ✌️
Hi Eric, Thanks for all your great minivanlife videos and advice. Two years later, are you still using a 100w panel and has this wattage proved adequate for your needs? Thanks, Mark
Yes Mark, and my set up is on the hedge of its 4th birthday. I began my channel after having really tested everything before sharing on RUclips. But everything depends of you electric consumption. I will do a video to explain everything about this...✌️
I did the solar shower. I use it pressurized or with gravity. It is awesome! I will do a video about all the specificities of it. Thank you for your comment Wien!✌️
Thank you for your videos .. very inspiring .. one question, how is the wind noise from the panel on the roof rack ? I realize you have the Thule box and surfboards up there, but was there any noticeable increase in noise ? Loss of gas mileage ? Thank you - Fellow Surfer in South Florida, Ray
Hello Ray! No there is no noice. A tips is to always leave your surfboard foam pads on the bars. It stop the little noice that may otherwise occur. The noise is not from the panel, but from the empty bars. With surfboards and the roof box on those bars, you will have no noice also, but yes there is a small impact on mileage. Thank you for your appreciation comment! I love Florida! Surfing at Cocoa Beach pier will you can see the rocket launch pas is always a pleasure! ✌️

I would love to see a video that details how you actually hook up/wire your van… something that could take a total beginner to be able to wire and power a van conversion (a 110 plug, lighting, etc.). That would be awesome!
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Another question for you Eric… how did you do your floor… i watched all of your videos but you don’t talk about that much… did you pull out the factory flooring rubber and put down any insulation? Subfloor? Your van is amazing and based on your videos alone, i think i could do this!
Of course you can do this Darcia! And you will be so proud of it! 😃 I didn’t remove the carpet. I will explain it all in a video. Stay tuned my friend! ✌️

Cool! What is the width or your crossbars on the roof? I am thinking of doing something similar but don’t know how much length on crossbar is enough. 60 inches is recommended for my van, there is 70 inches but will that be too much and look weird?
They are the largest one’s that Thule sell. Verify in your country, but usually they should be less large than the exterior mirrors. Personally, the look is less important than the functionality. Never too much place on the roof 😉 ✌️

You have inspired me to get out for some adventures and given an affordable way to so it! v
Your plans are so well thought out and you explain them so clearly! Can you do a video on how you diid your electrical system? Thank you
Another great idea for the solar panel and roof rack. Thanks for sharing.
It’s a pleasure Connue!
Great job explaining! Looking forward to your video about heating the van.
It’s going to be a video about keep you warm in the van rather then heating the van.
Thank you for your comment Elgenia!✌️
Sir I am loving your videos and givesme more confidence that I can do some of these things! Thank you!
It’s a pleasure Venessa! I am glade to be part of your project. Thank you for your comment it is much appreciated 😃✌️
Do a video on the solar shower
I will! Thank you for the suggestion! 👍
Thanks Eric I've learned a lot from your videos.
It’s a pleasure Vera. Stay tuned, more videos will follow! ✌️
Great job! Really enjoy your thoughtful videos! Watching from Florida, US. Can't wait for the video on ventilation.
Thank you!

You definitely need ways to cool down in Florida👍✌️
Also... did you just put 100 w panel?
Hey! Hello Wendy! It’s a pleasure to get some news!😃
Congratulations for your Sienna!👍
I used 1 or 2 cans of the sealant... just don’t remember...(?!)
You have a good battery!
Perfection! Can't wait to see the more extensive video about your solar set up, Eric!
Great! Thank you Donna for all those comments! It is really appreciated! ✌️
Love your channel!
Thank you Gina! I am proud of that! ✌️
These videos are very informative and have help me plan my build a lot. Thanks
Great! I am glade that you appreciate ✌️
I just discovered your channel and am enjoying your videos. Thank you for sharing.
It is a pleasure my friend! Thank you for your appreciation comment! ✌️
Hello Eric....any new videos soon???? I am planning to buy an used Sienna in the future and make it a camper as well!!!
Yes Christophe. Probably before the end of this week...👍
Good video and explained and showed the process clearly thank you!🪲
Thank you Carmie! I always appreciate to have also comment about the video editing aspect. ✌️
My next project thanks for video (from Australia 🇦🇺)
Great! Thank you Shelley! 👍
Another great video!!! Thank you Eric!
Thank you Brianna! I appreciate your comment! 👍
Do you have a video about the battery, electrical, install in your van?
I will publish a video series about this subject. Subscribe and stay tuned...✌️
Hi Eric;
If its not too much trouble would you give a basic video of your solar connections and how you run power to your systems?
This is going to be a very interesting video series. I am looking forward to do it. Thank you for suggesting ✌️
thanks...
Excellent!! Thanks for this one!!
It’s a pleasure! 👍
Thank you. That information was quite helpful!
It is a pleasure Bill! ✌️
I love your channel your designs

Hi Eric, can you provide steps/video links to how you made your rooftop solar shower? And how do you keep it pressurized? Thanks! Great videos!
It was s one of the coming ones videos... Stay tuned Jahve✌️
Great video! what sort of product did you use for the solar panel in addition to how to wire it on the inside - batteries, etc?
Thank you Ronnie!👍
I am using Renogy!
I will do a video about how I did my solar set up.
Great videos! Looking forward for more! Interested on a shower video and one on the sink :)
Thank you Cameron! Good video suggestions!👍
This is a good video suggestion! Good idea! I will explain everything in a video! Stay tuned my friend! ✌️
I’d love to know which rack system you’re using too. I am a surfer as well and am converting my Toyota Sienna! Your build is incredible honestly
Wow, I love your ideas,
Thank you Mary!✌️
You rock Eric
Thanks 👍
Hello Dodie! Mine are from Thule. They are the longest they sale.✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Thanks Eric... which model of agm battery and solar panel do you use ?
Renogy. I think it’s great!
Thank you for this video!
It’s a pleasure ✌️
Hey Eric, thanks for all your great videos! I like your van conversion: efficient and elegant 👍🏼.
What is the wattage of your solar panel to run your fridge? Also what's your fridge model?
Can you do a video about how you find spot to spend the night and advice? Thanks
Thank you for your appreciation!
100watts
ARB
It is effectively a good video suggestion! Thanks ✌️
Thanks for sharing another idea and point of view✌️
hi, eric! thanks the the video! your ideas have inspired me so much!! i was just wondering what kind of solar panel youre using. thanks!
Thank you! 😊
I used a Renogy solar panel. I am really satisfied!
Thank you ✌️
hi, thanks for another great video.
It’s a pleasure David! 👍
Thanks for another great video Eric. : )
I would like to know what criteria you have for choosing travel vehicles?
And what positives/negatives have you observed with your Toyota van?
I will do a video about this. I can tell you that the first criteria is reliability! What ever can be the van, if it is no reliable, it is going to be a nightmare!
So far I only enjoyed my Sienna, had no problem with it since 3 years that I own it. Toyota is pretty reliable. This is my fourth one!
Thank you for your appreciation! ✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Thank you Eric.
I would appreciate seeing your input on this : )
So many vehicles out there are not reliable, even brand new.
👍
Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Abbey for this great feedback ✌️
Hi Eric, Thanks for all your great minivanlife videos and advice. Two years later, are you still using a 100w panel and has this wattage proved adequate for your needs? Thanks, Mark
Yes Mark, and my set up is on the hedge of its 4th birthday. I began my channel after having really tested everything before sharing on RUclips.
But everything depends of you electric consumption. I will do a video to explain everything about this...✌️
Thanks, that was really useful.
Great! Thanks Taylor! ✌️
Nice job, would like to know if you made the solar shower, are you using a submersible pump in it or pressurising it?
I did the solar shower. I use it pressurized or with gravity. It is awesome! I will do a video about all the specificities of it.
Thank you for your comment Wien!✌️
What roof rack/cross bars are those? I appreciate your videos.
Hello Brian!
Thule
Thank you for your feedback 😃👍
Can you do a video on your electrical system install? Great videos Warren here from New Zealand
Eric, please Grace us with another video!
Thank you Ronda! Yes I will continue...✌️
Thanks Eric!
It’s a pleasure 👍

@@ericenjoysearth2756 thanks for responding.. haha reading this after having surfer right near Cocoa ... good travels !
LOL ✌️
I’m curious about your battery setup (solar panel, fridge, fan, etc.). That would get my vote for another video topic..
Thank you for those suggestions Michael👍
Super !
Merci votre van a l'air tellement confortable !
Merci Eric bonne continuation
What kind of cross bars do you use? I can’t find any long enough to fit all that stuff
Thule. I used their longest one ✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Thanks Eric!
Great video!
Thanks again!✌️
I would love to see a video that details how you actually hook up/wire your van… something that could take a total beginner to be able to wire and power a van conversion (a 110 plug, lighting, etc.). That would be awesome!
This is on my list. Your comment is helping me prioritize. Every suggestions help me know what people would prefer first. Thank you Darcia✌️
I didn’t remove the carpet. I will explain it all in a video. Stay tuned my friend! ✌️
Great video thanks!
Thank you Mike!👍
Bonsoir Eric.
Great video. What kind of batteries do you have and can you make a video about that? Thanks
Thank you Karen! 😃
Deep cycle AGM 110 amp-hr.
I will do another video about how I proceeded for the inside electric system...
✌️
Another awesome idea. One question though: who/what song is playing in the background?
thank god for you bro
Thank you! I am pretty glade that you like it 😃
Due vibration nuts may get loose. You need apply 'red lock tight' on your bolts and nuts just to be safe.
Never had an issue, but why not feel safer ✌️
Never too much place on the roof 😉
✌️
