Dr. Brooke, please slow down and take care of yourself. I don't know how you are still managing to prioritise the health of others after the recent traumatic loss of your beautiful son, Alex (RIP), but know that we thank you for all that you do and are praying for you and your family. Sending prayers, love and blessings from the north of Ireland

She’s already explained how in one of her videos. She will always miss her son but that doesn’t mean she gives up and stops living. She’s doing what’s best for her. This is her purpose. Watch her video.

@jaws1413 What a truly nasty and unnecessary response. And to a message that wasn't even addressed to you! My message to Dr. Brooke was motivated by love. Can you say the same?
I had previously watched the video to which you refer. It was that video that gave me cause for concern. The sentiment of the video was great, and while, without doubt, her grandmother was a great role model and influence, and may well have passed on her stoic ways, the reality is that Dr. Brooke has just lost her healthy youngest son to a tragic accident, and that's a level of grief that even the stoics would struggle with. Only a fool would have viewed her video as anything more than Dr. B forcing and willing herself on in the face of a tragedy in which she has been rendered powerless. No one bounces back from that level of loss in a matter of weeks no matter how strongly they motivate themselves or how bravely they speak - no matter how much you naively choose to believe it possible.
And just for the record, since you misrepresented my original message, I did not for one minute say that Dr. Brooke should "give up and stop living", so why did you suggest this? As someone who knows something of the pain of losing a child and the true awfulness of the grief process, I learned that with grief, nothing is ever as it seems. Denial can be grief, Anger can be grief..... grief wears many different masks. But, never ever conclude that because someone speaks bravely that they really are feeling as invincible as their words. I have never known anyone reach the Acceptance stage within weeks of a death. Some never reach it. I suggest you familiarise yourself with the work of Eizabeth Kubler Ross - if only to stop yourself from penning such a crass response as the one you just did.
Or maybe just pray for Dr. B - she has a tough road ahead whether you fully realise it or not. May she and her family be blessed in the measure she has blessed others (abundantly), and may they be supported by a network who are not duped by brave or wise words.

@@eyeswideopen2043 you obviously misunderstood what I said if you thought my response was nasty. I just said she already explained why she’s doing what she’s doing. Obviously it took you in a different direction and that wasn’t my intention at all. I’m sure everyone has had to deal with grief and they do it in their own way. What she’s doing can be the best for her. I wasn’t sure if you saw the video. That’s all. Nothing I said was meant to offend or hurt you. Take care. Ps. I didn’t read everything you wrote b/c I feel you took my statement wrong.

Dr. G, your nutrition protocol is becoming second nature now, but I watch your motivation videos to help me in my walk as a Christian. So easy to let offence, judgement or a hard heart take us off the Way of forgiveness, acceptance and love. Bless you and your family, and all who are seeking healthy bodies, minds and spirits.

    That's so true Dr. G.
It is good to hear it explained like that. I am so much better thanks to your explanation of the inflammatory pathway, but I am struggling and my Motivation to get better does not always win, especially when I am low in Energy and on my husbands plate are the things I Loved... But my Battle IS on, I have to get healthier, so I can care for our son.
