  • In this video I solve a coolant leak by replacing the radiator in my 1995 Honda Civic with a new all aluminum one from DNA Motoring on Ebay. I share why I purchased it and what I think of the initial quality. I was pleased with the construction and fitment.
The link to the one I purchased is below. It should work for EJ1(EG) and EK Civics.

So you didnt have to relocate the reservoir? Thats my main concern. Got one coming tomorrow and want to be prepared for that possiblity

👍👌Nope. It's in the original location. And it has been great since the install. No issues.

I know this was from a year ago, but I have a 98 civic lx, but automatic, so I have the trans cooler lines with those brass pins At the bottom, so I got the DNA motor rad like this one, expect for an automatic with the trans cooler lines, I can put my old brass trans cooler pins on, but they only thread on like 2 threads and won't go farther and the pins themselves aren't tight, what can I do?? That's literally my only problem

Damn. I wish I had first hand experience with that one to give you better advice. But, I would verify the thread size on the radiator. You may have to get adapters for the lines if you are set on using this radiator. Good luck! Shoot, send me pictures of the situation on Instagram if you are bored enough.

@MaqsVids my radiator on the car now is definitely like 15+ years old and so this is what I did, I bought a brand new OEM radiator, cap, thermostat, upper/lower hoses, new trans cooler hose, new OEM fan, so the new OEM one came with the brass pins already, so people in the comments on Amazon claim the OEM brass Pins just spin on to the DNA rad, but I tried definitely not, they get on like 2 threads a stop, I noticed the DNA rad threads where the brass pins spins onto, there WAY WIDER, what do you think I could do?? This is my only issue, I literally have everything else

@MaqsVids so basically the OEM brass pins just kind of are really lose and don't get tight cause I can't thread the OEM pins all the way down tight

@MaqsVids bro!! I think I figured it out, so I went back onto Amazon and I found the literal same DNA rad, same brand, except this one apparently came with pins 🫠 and the one I ordered did not, but apparently the DNA motor rad threads for the trans cooler hose are 3/8, I found 90 degrees ones, like stock ones, but these will actually fit, $11 , think I figured it out 😁😁

@@RealTRKLogic That's awesome!!! The solution was simple in the end. Take care and be safe!!

How’s it holding up? Got one of these coming today for my 98 civic.

It is holding up great. I drive it over 60 miles a day and the weather has been hot. It was a great deal. My only gripe (a small one) is that the inlet and outlet are a little larger.

@@MaqsVids yeah its like 1.25 vs 1.1. I had issues with the massive heatwave here in Washington 2 weeks ago. Hoping this helps!

I might sell it at some point in the future. But, I am enjoying it now and I still have lots I want to do to it. Selling it is so far from my mind that I have no idea what I would sell it for. (Thanks for watching.)
