Ok tbh I listened while running until the guest reached the 75-80 supplements a day bshell! Wowza pray tell us all mortals how is that even productive and healthy as a blueprint? Why would we need to obsess so much about living and healthspan that we lose track of the mostly free sensible pillars to do; eat healthy and address deficiencies, exercise and move daily, guard sleep, stay connected, have a good mindset and be a good spiritual human.

Love how Rich kept bringing him back to what is realistic and practical for most people. He did have good points that you don’t have to pay for extra tests and products. I’ll take that advice and leave the rest, as I can’t afford all the bells and whistles. Exercise, eat mostly Whole Foods (cut out the processed garbage), slow down when eating, get quality sleep, connect with others. When he was talking about these points, he explained it pretty good. Great reminders. Personally working on the mindful eating. I’m intrigued on what they come up with in their studies. However, sample size and duration needs increased. Thanks for a thought provoking discussion.

We all know that people from the bluezones thrive on a lifestyle without 75 supplements a day and over obsessing about our health with data. That is true goals for me, being in sync with nature, the seasons, my community, my heritage and spiritual wellbeing. All the rest will come naturally.

Good interview. BUT--I especially appreciated your comment about being obsessed with health/fitness metrics! About 5 yrs ago I went down the rabbit hole re health/fitness and I'm kind of reaching a point where it's just. too. much!! I'm sick of it, sick of being so, SO fixated on health. I live a very consciously healthful lifestyle, but I'm getting close to walking away from all the "learning more." As you said, I'd really rather just live my life.

As someone who isn't the best at adopting new tech and some apprehension about AI, this conversation actually gave me a very positive outlook for how AI will be used in the future to assist us with our best health outcomes and, very likely, will finally transform sick care to actual health care. Certain applications for AI and tech are awesome and this showed that. It is how to harness it for appropriate use and thus direct the intensive energy requirements to where it is truly useful. Despite the 80 supplements, I liked how Peter did keep coming back to the foundation of health being exercise and nutrition and largely plant-based.

This is fantastic and I’m not even halfway thru. As a 62 year old steady ultra runner for nearly 14 years and all plant fueled for over 14 years, I have questions about my body’s infinite potential for being intuitive… but also about the fine line for optimal muscle mass. In my mind, excess muscle mass is a liability and longevity tax. “Extra” muscle requires extra calories to maintain… all that is a potential stressor on our organs. Living with ease vs dis-ease suggests in my mind I should avoid over working my organs. Namaste

Did I miss the part where he said anything new ? I’m not reading a 700pg book from this guy giving advice about how taking 80 supplements per day and getting plugged into some $19k year club ( of which Tony Robbins is involved) will increase longevity and a good life. I’ve come to expect a little higher caliber on RR… but with everything you’re dealing with it’s understandable. maybe this is the b rung and you didn’t have anything else. Keep your standards and give yourself a break and us listeners more credit. We love and support and understand if you can put out an interview for a while. You’re dealing with more important things during this difficult period. Courage!

Hi Rich 🤗 In ayurveda there is something like rajasic, which is energy without balance.. the music supporting your introduction of your guest feels that way to me, pushy, loud and not of service to the introduction.. It has to become common knowledge that dopamine is driving most of our behaviours but because of ego/conceptual sense of self we want to believe there is an i which makes its decisions in life and that will be the biggest obstacle to making the role of the dopaminergic system mainstream.. Admitting there is obviously an intelligence working in every life form to which we can consciously open ourselves is an even bigger obstacle because of the same cause, ego/conceptual sense of self, the identification with form we cal I 🙏❤️☀️

This is all so far out of reach for the average person. This might be useful information if you are extremely financially wealthy but this is not for anyone living an average ‘non- financially-optimized ‘ life. Watching this is like watching people from another world. Mr. Diamandis ( lol, even his name underlines his financial status as does Rich Rolls , he he he, so ironic) is already living on another planet, no need to join Elon on Mars.
So while most of us rott down here on our ailing and damaged planet, these guys can diagnose themselves well into their two hundreds and beyond. Good luck to them.

What humans have needed for centuries is a higher level of ethics and far more compassion. We still continue with more cruel and selfish experiments done on animals like the ones with pigs, mentioned on the interview. AI will place us more in the hole if we continue to see the world with an anthropocentric point of view. When are we humans going to understand that ALL species and Mother Earth do have the same value as Homo sapiens. Why this gay does not spend some of his millions on trying to save species, ecosystems, and food systems? This interview was nothing but advertisement.

What happened to the audio production values for your show? The way over-compressed and heavily processed vocal aesthetic unappealing and stressful to listen to.
In my opinion, it is comparable to perhaps the vocal aesthetic of a large Metropolitan top-40 radio station DJ.
Please revert to your original production values, they were more in alignment with your podcast and the quality information that you are so adept at conveying.

It is all fine and good to softly pontificate, but it is almost disheartening to know the food, the answer, the sustenance isvjust beyond arms's length.
