1:10 When you park your "office" this close to the tree being felled....that is a man that is confident in his abilities! Then at 17:20 when the tree is heavily weighted with limbs, still doesnt move his van! Kudos This is my favorite person to watch cutting trees, he has a lot of experience and it shows in his confidence. (Its NOT overconfident, its having the experience to know what will happen) Cutting down trees is nothing more than physics....and THIS GUY GETS IT! Thank you for sharing sir! Hats off to you, stay safe!
@FINNISHLUMBERJACK I am glad you were ok! I hope you have a young man that is mentoring you, your experience is invaluable. If I wasnt in the USA I would jump at the chance to be a helper for you, I have learned so much about how the style of the hinge changes how and where the tree falls. I have hired a tree company to remove trees, they did ok....but they did not have the knowledge you do and after watching your videos, it is obvious to me the mistakes they made. They got lucky the tree did not go the wrong way. Stay safe, please keep recording videos, it is a pleasure to watch your skills at work! Thank you.
@@FINNISHLUMBERJACK Kiitos! Opin teiltä paljon! Minulla ei ole niin montaa vuotta kokemusta. Olen kirvesmies, mutta olen työskennellyt paljon myös moottorisahan kanssa.
Well done. The vertical cut was a smart move. I think i would cut down 200 other trees to gain experiance ans only then think about cutting those kind of trees.
@@FINNISHLUMBERJACK I am in USA and you have SIMPLE equipment that does exactly what you need....its a helping hand. "Push here" kind of thing. What do you call the long pole with the tongs? I could def use one here in the Appalachian mountains. Climbing isnt always an option (I dont climb anyway, but many young sawyers here do) The Stalpen and the tongs are two VERY valuable tools for the type of trees you take down. You work smart and buy the right equipment. Much respect to you!
How would I ?? Not this way! We were taught that you do NOT cut the notch into the trunk, because when it falls, it can moonwalk backwards across the flat top of the stump. You are supposed to cut the notch downward into the stump, so that the FLAT bottom of the trunk rides down the slope on the stump as it falls, meaning better control of the fall.
I usually just get in a squat position, wrap my manly arms around the tree and heave it up out of the ground, much like the rest of you pull up a carrot out of the ground. Then I just toss the entire tree to where I want it to land. Works for me.....

Where can you buy the tree trunk shears with telescopic rod?
From Uittokalusto
@@FINNISHLUMBERJACK adress?
How do you call the poll that you used to crank the tree in the direction you want? Where do you recommend buying one?
Not the direction, it just pushes. It is called Stalpen
