Mad Skills with a Chainsaw FL: for safety, I recommend to all viewers to practice basic safety, clearing away the trip-hazard limbs, vines, etc. at the base before attempting the masterful cuts shown here to prevent yourself from tripping and making a fatal accidental gill cut of the (very) wrong limb! A clear quick retreat path should always be maintained during a felling operation. YIKES!
When I saw the video description I thought here we go with one of these idiotic, fuel consuming stunt techniques. But for a back leaner this one is actually very useful. Impressive hinge action!
I heard one never tryed. Scarf low back in till feel hit. Then scarf above wedge in. Then same till tips? Sounds very unsafe but be cool to try right situation. Great vids. Thanx
In our training courses we are told to never attempt a tree until we see the winch/come along has control of the tree. If we can bend it towards where we want it before a cut we can fell it with the winch after it has been crippled by a cut.
Why Go through all this circus for bringen the tree down in the end with a winch. What is the actual Advantage over Just cutting IT down, leaving ONE HINGE??
