Actually, if you notice in this video despite the fact that I was weight shifting and helping her, she was not moving her arms either. I also needed to move her arms along to help her wheel barrel walk. A motivating toy or sibling at the other end really helps.
Pediatric Physical Therapy Exercises I haven’t noticed. Than you, I’ll watch it again. I’m concerned cause my baby only rolls from tummy to back, but only to the left side. He can’t go from back to tummy. He doesn’t pivot, he can’t plank with his arms. Could you suggest any exercises that might help me. I just started watching your videos .
The good news is that I followed Myla chronologically over time so you can follow along with her developmentally. Here is her playlist ruclips.net/p/PLAkJbMrHyKjMZYC1aYPuXrp-I9VFpNhCu
@@pediatricPTexercises hi Amy, appreciate you sharing the videos. I have similar problem with my 5 month old boy. He is perfectly fine otherwise (loving to sit and stand, good head control, strong muscle in shoulder, strong legs) however he does not want to use his arms at all other than grasping toys. Keen to try to roll from back to tummy but not from tummy to back at all. The moment I put him on tummy, he becomes inactive. I made him raise head with a bit pressure on his forearm, however he stays still, with no intention to move or pivot his arms at all and no pranking.. Could he be having low tone in arms only... Or pulled elbow(not seemingly in pain though).. A weeks ago, he did not even want to raise his head.. So he is progressing while we work very hard and he is still far from reaching his milestone as I see... Any suggestions for us please? Thanks
Dear Amy wanted to ask you can a baby or toddler with cerebral palsay do four point crawl? If he or she have low tone muscle...?or it is Impossible for a baby with cp to do four point crawling ?
Hello, I'm really worried about my little girl. She's almost 12 months old (was born 3 weeks early) and the only thing she can do is sitting! If I try to make her stand she can hold herself on objects for a minute but then gets tired and doesn't want anymore. She doesn't crawl or tries to even do it! Since some months she has a "technique" to make herself fall asleep, she lays on her back and crosses her legs and pushes it up to her stomach - till she falls asleep. The doc says that it's normal but now she always does it when I put her to the ground trying to make her enjoy some tummy time. I don't know what to do :( do you have some tips? Also what I forgot to add, if she wants a toy or something she "rolls" to take it and quickly rolls back on her back. So maybe it's just her way of crawling? When I try to do this exercise with her arms she just doesn't have that much strength in them and only holds herself for some seconds..
Hello dear amy ...hope you are fine, wanted to ask you a question my baby is 18 month old he have low tone muscle the neurologist think it mightbe cp,he sat at 16 months and now he makes a 4 point crawling Masha Allah a little progress i guess but when ever he makes it and tries to move forward with 4 point crawling he hangs his head on the floor and moves forward by rubbing his head aginst the floor,he mostly cannot carry a 4 point crawling for more then 2 mins but when he does and tries to move forward his head lags and he moves forward rubbing it against the carpet of floor,do you have any exercise for this ,is it common in cp kids ?and my second question is that our local tharipest gave us few exercise to do at home, like holding his legs up and down etc are these exercise also effective if a baby is sleeping and we do it....thank you 💕 bless you
Without evaluating your son it is hard for me to determine why he is dragging his head. Could be sensory or strength. Your personal PT would need to assess. Similarly you will need to ask your PT if the exercise she/he provided is effective at night. Here is my back strengthening playlist ruclips.net/p/PLAkJbMrHyKjMVmGK03-WxRdCiraQ8ujU8 I particularly like #60 with Myla
@@pediatricPTexercises i have watched all the videos of sweet princess myla💕ill watch this no 60 exercise insha Allah....my baby still sometimes have a like very slight wobbly neck support when hes sitting maybe he dont have proper strength in it ...ill do this strengthening of back exercise....bless you ,love your work 💕
Hai my baby is premature she born on 7 month . Nw she is 22 months old. She cannot walk yet. We have started pt last year July. Weekly once pt class .she learned crawling last year . Nw we doing lot work on walking, cruising, core strength exercise on fitness ball. Squating, falling infront. But still she is falling back. Which exercise is useful for her? Should we work on back bone and is that low tone ?
Unfortunately, it is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child that I have not personally evaluated. Across my two playlists on this channel I have provided multiple exercises to help strengthen the back and to encourage walking. You may find the playlist with Colton on it Gives ideas that are more advanced than Myla is currently working on. On that playlist I discussed the importance of learning backward stepping. That may be useful for your child. Best wishes.
I have certainly used it for children meeting that description. Completely avoiding weight bearing on the arms is a red flag for me. Please find a local PT who can help you.
Hi, thanks for the video
i have a question ... are you doing hydrotherapy for children?
If yes, can you please upload some videos for us?
Majd Hawash LOL. I have actually only done one session the pool my entire career. I’m afraid I cannot help you.

It all depends on the severity of involvement for either CP or low tone

I recommend you find a local pediatric physical therapist who can assess you daughter and make a customized plan to help her. I wish you the best.
Here is my crawling playlist. Maybe some of these ideas will help

Will this help babies that tend to go into 'airplane mode' in tummy time?
