@johnhicks8723 You're welcome, John. Thank you for the kind words. Yes, my legs are also pretty bad. Weak, tight, and they tire easily. BUT, on the positive side, you & I are still alive. We also have our arms, hands, etc. So, working around the leg issue is definitely possible.
The GYPSY is a GREAT scooter. Only downsides are the price ($2,000) and the seat, which isn't the most comfortable. This makes doing longer outings (more than 2 or 3 hours) a pain in the butt...literally!
Aside from the above though, if your arms are in decent shape, you have good balance, and can lift about 30lbs., the Gypsy is the lightest scooter out there that folds the smallest. With one exception...
Check out the Travelscoot. They have a very big page on Facebook. That too is a very lightweight scooter and is built tough, I just don't like the design. Both of them are solid choices though 👍
Be well, and enjoy life to the fullest, my friend!

I too have lots of mobility issues and riding around in my Prius or Sienna van car camping I tend to get more hamstring issues.
I have a folding bike that fits in both cars . I make the point to stop more often to exercise my legs because the sitting creates more issues for me . Even if it’s just a walk to the rest room getting out of the car is very important.

I was SOLD until The End.
I had a stroke also and my legs just buckle and give out on me. I could really use this, especially when my vehicle is in for repairs.
    But, OUCH!!!! I don't even make $2000.

Wow. What a great video. I bought a fold up scooter on fb recently and it never arrived. 😢 I'll look into getting one of these cause i cant even take my big scooter inside to charge it. Cheers from New Zealand

@jobird354 Thanks, I appreciate that 😊 It really is a great scooter! Definitely not the most comfortable when using for extended periods, but absolutely the smallest, lightest out there...and very well made.
If you want another option, look up "Travelscoot" mobility scooters on Facebook or online. They too are extremely light, and can also be folded easily to fit in a car or when traveling.
I'm sorry to hear about the scooter issue. I recommend filing a fraud dispute with your credit card company or bank if it never arrives. They should refund your money with no hesitation. There are lots of scams on social media, unfortunately.
I wish you luck. Let me know what scooter you purchase, no matter which it is 👍

@@carcampingdude6406 thank you for your reply. Yes, it's disappointing but it's the first time I've been stung like this. So I'll talk to my bank tomorrow and lodge a claim. I didn't know I could do that, I've never had too.
I've found some foldables here but they're heavy. I need something lighter.
I've watched a couple of your videos so I'll subscribe. Your contents great. Anyway, it's the middle of the night so I'll sign off.. Thanks again, Jo

Hi, I have hip arthritis and a folding scooter like that would be handy for me when I'm using my car. How do you charge your battery when you are away camping, do you have some kind of charger that works from the cigarette lighter or usb socket in your car?

I keep falling for these "Lightest weight mobility scooter" videos. When I read lightest weight mobility scooter, I was hoping the one here would be lighter than my Travelscoot. Only to find out at the end of the video it’s 10lbs heavier.
The only mobility scooter I’ve found that I can manage by myself is the Travelscoot at 33lbs/14.8kg. I’m glad you’ve found a scooter to suit your needs, but at 42lbs/22kg I’d never be able to lift it. I sometimes struggle with my 33lb/15kg Travelscoot, hence me falling for the "lightest mobility scooter" vids.

@@katelyn3997 There are only 2 scooters that I would say are legitimately the smallest & lightest: The Travelscoot & the Gypsy.
In terms of overall size, the Gypsy wins, as it folds smaller than the Travelscoot and can easily fit on any car seat, as I showed in the video. The Travelscoot is larger when folded and needs to be kept in the trunk or stored standing upright in a vehicle on the floor.
As for weight, if the battery is removed from the Gypsy, it is almost as light as the Travelscoot.
Based on these 2 factors, I do consider it the smallest, lightest mobility scooter out there, with the Travelscoot being second.
I did extensive research before buying the Gypsy. And the only other scooter I considered was actually the Travelscoot. But the weird seat and the lack of a platform to plant my feet on (only foot pegs) made me choose the Gypsy.

@ your Gypsy looks pretty similar to a Solax that my dad has. It’s the same weight, folds in the same way only difference is the Solax has padded seat, backrest, armrests & the version dad has can auto fold by remote control, though it’s very easy & quicker to fold manually.
I love the Solax but at 41lbs/21kg it’s too heavy for me to lift in & out of the car by myself. I was hoping the Gypsy would be a lighter weight version.
I love the way the Gypsy & Solax fold, they are easier to pull along when folded than my Travelscoot. Also like the 4wheels, platform for feet & auto brakes.
Removing the battery from your Gypsy may make it almost as light as the Travelscoot. But removing Travelscoot battery & seat, reduces the max weight I need to lift to 8.5kg/22lbs. (Half the weight of the Gypsy). Which comes in handy on bad days.
I can see why you love your Gypsy, I love dad’s Solax, pity they are just too heavy for me.
