There is no formulation with elemental iron 200 mg. It’s 100 or 60 mg

Very easy word explanation, one question mam,, why our dr recommended 2 ampule of 5ml in100 ml ns ,. They can recommend 10 ml of one ampule, can u explain
Thanks. Totally depends on the strength of the ampoules available. Since my channel caters to mostly govt staff, I have mentioned the variety available in the govt hospitals in our state. You can use whatever is available with you. The important thing to remember is that we have to add 200 mg of iron sucrose in 100 ml of NS.

@@annievisal5776 yes. Severe anemia in 2nd trimester needs to be treated with parenteral iron
Mam haemoglobin to 9.9 hai but ferritin level 9.5ng /ml hai to kya ye therapy ki jarurat hai twin babies hai and 6 month running . Conceive karne ke pehle ferritin 5.8 tha

Iron sucrose doesn’t need cold chain unless mentioned by manufacturer

You said in the video that thalasemia patients should not be given iron sucrose. This is what every gynae told me as i have beta thalasemia trait/minor. But i was not satisfied and consulted a hematologist. She ordered a ferritin test. It came out very very low. 5.4. So the hematologist said that my low hb(7.4) is due to iron deficiency and i can have iron infusions. My gynae was recomending blood transfusion without any ferritin test
Turned out that thalasemic trait patients can have iron infusion if there is an actual iron deficiency

Iron should be started only in second trimester. Do dietary corrections in 1st trimester

Doctor my age is 26 its my second pregnancy 4 month is started.. 1 month before my hb was 13 and ferratin was 124 . But my doctor told me to have 100 mg iron tab once daily for 2 months and vit D tab also .. so this is required???

Mam, Thalasemia treat and hemoglobin 8.2 he. Iron source le sakte he?
Ma'am can we know the names of tests which helps to find out which type of anemia to prevent iron overload with iron sucrose?? I'm cho in ap and in our area a poor primi have only 5grams of hb and our mo ordered to keep iron sucrose in subcentre only instead of phc as phc is very far away but I'm afraid of reaction and iron overload
If you calculate the doses correctly there should be no iron overload. Always monitor the mother as mentioned in the video and always keep an emergency drug tray ready. Whether a doctor should supervise has to be decided your superiors. I can’t comment on that
