Kane said in an interview after a few games back, there's no excitement. Kane is one of the most exciting players to watch when he's given opportunity, but Lalondes style of coaching has this team skating on eggshells. So sad to see Kane wasted as such. And he's not the only player with talent being wasted...
I pointed this out back then to someone and they blew me off. I knew right there and then the players were not motivated or having any fun. I hate Lalonde, a lot. This coaching system actually makes players worse.
Zero intensity. I appreciate low event hockey should translate to a better defensive effort…. But this team just doesn’t play with any heart. I can assume it’s the coaching but maybe they are just not good…. Kane had moments where he doesn’t even skate, he was handed one of the best scoring chances on the night and he missed the net…. I don’t care what system you play, Kane needs to bury that…. Nothing to do with excitement, all too do with intensity and effort. Maybe the system does work if the players work hard. I see WAY too many passengers on a nightly basis to blame a system, at least I am starting to see that.
Kane has been the biggest disappointment of any player this year. No fire in his belly and playing without much effort. To say he is frustrated with the system may be true but so are others that are putting forth an effort. Some may say it’s because of Lalone’s system but Lane played very well under this system last year. Lalone needs to go and I thought I’d never say it maybe Yzerman too.

I cannot defend Stevie any longer. He should’ve fired the coach last year during the losing streak. I can’t believe Lalonde is still the coach. I can’t take it any longer. Getting outshot two to one every single game. They can’t break out of their own zone. They can’t get any offense going because they’re too tired defending 3/4 of the game. Goalies being left hung out to dry. I thought the focus was defense this year? There is no defense. Fans have to stop going to the games and start booing the hell out of this team. And why isn’t Chris Ilich getting any flack? Allowing a garbage patch on the iconic jersey was one thing, but just watching this team die is another. People need to be fired now!
This is true. Yzerman so arrogant he doesn’t even address the issues. He can just hide away and let Lalonde take all the heat. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Lalonde too.
I agree yzermam can't preach solid defense and ship out walman with assets given up and then keep petry, chariot and holl he screwed up bad with orster construction and it will take years to fix
I need a Steve Yzerman media conference and I need him to say that this isn't good enough. And then I need him to make some moves. Sans that, I have lost faith in him and this entire thing.
It would be moves just for the sake of making moves. Sell what you can and bring up young guys is my feeling. See how guys perform that are part of the next wave. Give them things to work on and take notes on your prospects. Some lottery luck would be good, but we will drop two places probably again.

@@Hocktopus_329 I got you. I definitely want to see some more jump and fire to start games for sure. Definitely have to look hard at how we target veteran players to acquire. I am more risk tolerant and am OK with the thought of three rookies. Especially when the players they would come in for are nothing special. Young players still have potential for growth and for learning from their mistakes. I am for upside all day in those scenarios. Not sure people are lining up for many of our free agent pick ups. Think our drafting and development has been very good. Think we start to see some of the later round picks making their cases soon.
@@BrentNinedorf I agree with that. I really can't complain about drafting and development. What we should all complain about is the pro scouting. Steve has to do a better job there. His FA signings have been absolute strikeouts.

Have to give so many kudos to Talbs. He continues to give this team every chance to fight for wins even if most of them clearly have no interest in doing so.
Don’t mind the loss in a rebuild but the lack of fire and grit from the current lineup is mind boggling. Them guys get paid a lot of donuts to be fired up and ready to skate through a wall if need be and do what is necessary to win even if they got to bite knee caps and that just isn’t happening and I think it starts with the top down. The players Yzerman has signed are all depressing to watch. There is no fire and I don’t want to hear it’s the coach it’s on each individual to get fired up and make the opposing team to pay one way or another.

@ I agree. It’s not setting a good example. The core players are the only ones that give it 100% most nights. 5-6 players is not enough though. Lalonde sets a terrible example of no accountability. He never EVER says anything negative, when there is plenty to scrutinize.

Yep. He's the only reason this game didn't end up worse. Some highlight reel saves tonight. Once he left the net when it was only 2-1, i knew it would get worse. Lalonde HAS to go, nothing else to be done.
I’ve been apathetic. It took me a few weeks of this coaching system for me to not care. I knew it would never start working and I hate Derek Lalonde for it. I think he’s actually making our players worse, that’s a good reason to get rid of him. I don’t watch any other sport though, so I’m a fan of more than one hockey team.
Unfortunately tanking gets you nothing in the NHL, The Redwings were by far the worst team in the NHL a couple years ago and still only got the 8th pick in the draft. The lottery draft is a joke.
@@charedboy2 Tanking gets you Bedard or Celebrini. Wings haven't tanked PROPERLY. When they were the worst they picked 4th not 8th and they got Raymond who is their best player.
I do think this would jump start the team as long as they hired a coach. Not the interim thing. But at this point is it worth it. Lalonde contract ends this season. Letting it play out could end up with Detroit getting a top 5 pick and Lalonde gone to start next season.
Wallman is playing as well as he did most of his tenure as a Wing. Don't know what his injury was late last year but the Wings thought it was not fixable. Yzerman should be fired for that trade.
This team cant score to save their life, and the "solution" to it is to put one of the very few players who creates, in Berggren, on the 4th line to play with stone hands like Veleno, Fischer or Motte. And put Rasmussen as the shooting option for Kane's playmaking? Where is the thought process here really, is there any? Amazing coaching again, Lalonde.😴😴😴
I will go to my deathbed believing we would've made the playoffs last year had Yzerman fired Lalonde after that lifeless game against Buffalo on March 12th last season.

With asp tearing up the shl. It’s technically possible to have asp on the roster instead of petry or Holl. Which would be a massive upgrade. Even with the learning curve to playing in the nhl. And Lalonde gone would change the dynamic of the team.

he's 28, he could be on the decline at any point. and if he wanted to make the most of this year maybe he should have told the coach to play the best top line by far from last year and the only top line that could make this lineup work even a little bit this year. instead it seems likely he was annoyed by having to skate harder w Kane on his line and asked for it to be Raymond all the time. this besides giving them a vastly inferior top line that gets outscored consistently, also made Kane completely quit, which tanked the subsequent lines too. but hey, at least Dylan doesn't have to skate hard.
I'd be waiving my no movement clause and asking for a trade if I was Larkin. Yzerman is a pussy and won't change anything, and he can be a solid 2nd line centre on a Stanley cup team.
Agreed. Larkin has brought it more consistently than anyone on the team for quite a while, but now he looks like he doesn't give a 5hit. I think LaLonde refusing to call a timeout a few weeks ago kinda broke him. And as much as I love him and believe he's a Red Wing to the core I wouldn't blame him if he requested a trade. The system is garbage, everybody's demoralized and were wasting what talent we do have. Fester HAS to go.

I'm breaking even on reselling my seats at the LCA. Not quite market value, but I save $150 a game by not having to pay for parking, beer and nachos. I'm done. It's too much to hassle twice or three times a week to watch us miss out on another playoff run. Scott, you were spot on. When fans look at our measly 38 points in February, then even the Yzerfans will be crying. Stevie did well with Tampa because he found an excellent coach. He hasn't found one in Detroit and we will continue to miss the playoffs until he does. And I'll stay home and watch the games. I'm just done.
Unlike most people here, apparently, I still feel very good about the long term health of this organization. With that said, this season is an embarrassment. I think we should trade some players for assets if we can but continue to try to win. Losing doesn’t help any of the players mentality, doesn’t make anyone want to come here, and also doesn’t guarantee us a high pick as we’re all well aware. I think a coaching change and system overhaul will help a lot, but the Illitch family simply doesn’t fire coaches mid season, and it seems unlikely to happen now. Lot of contracts come off the books this offseason. Hopefully Yzerman can do better in free agency
We are witnessing the Re-Re-rebuild of the red wings. They didn't play sloppy, the are coached that way. Because every game is sloppy even the games the "mistakenly" win.
Talbott injured again as of Dec 13. Maybe time to trade away one of our up-and-coming young players in GR. Except I would play them all and see what they can do at NHL level. Cossa sent back to GR after a few periods is just silly. Play him and see if he can be a starter.
You both know the change will not happen under current ownership. Last time the coach was relieved of his duties during the season was in 80's. Wings may tank for high pick next draft. Personally I would love to have finally top 3 pick
This roster is not this bad. There is only one explanation for the Wings only being able to breakout by wrapping the puck around the boards, where Patrick Kane is terrible. There's only one explanation for so many basic aspects of their game being bad, and so many players struggling to contribute positively. A rising tide lifts all boats, but Lalonde has these boats out in the desert. And Brian, that toxic hockey bro culture that tells you that a slap shot on a breakaway or trying to do the Michigan is "disrespect" is completely illogical, get that out of your head

Erik Gustafsson has been good before. Tarasenko can be better, he didn't just fall apart over the summer. Kasper deserves more respect than you just gave him. Don't waste my time with victim complex mentality about how we have the absolute worst players of all time, half of the league is made up of players you have never heard of.

That is why the blame falls on Steve. This is the roster he built to run this system. I honestly hope we stick with snoozy for the season. We desperately lack elite talent, and if we continue on this pace we've got a legitimate shot at a top 5 pick. Moving snoozy may net us a few more points this year but who F'ing cares about picking 10-15. This season is already washed. Tank your ass off and maybe get a future superstar

You want a hot take? If we traded Larkin, not only would we get a massive return, but we'd likely finish last next year. All these woes would be immediately justified if we landed Gavin McKenna. Seriously, I think we are closer to a tear down than we are to the playoffs. The only player on the Wings with lots of value who isn't the same age as Yzerman's core is.. Dylan Larkin. I love Larks, but I'm ready for drastic measures and I'm sure he's sick of losing. Plus, he'd bring in a haul of picks and prospects. The draft lottery system is fairer now, too. The Wings could go all youth, and suck it up for 2 more seasons. Imagine if we land McKenna and Dupont. I already think we're getting Anton Frondell this season. He's got legit 1C potential and is the best Swedish prospect in this upcoming draft. The Wings lack elite talent. The Wings lack high end skill. It's obvious that every team we play has players who can near single handedly beat us. We get out-skilled. We aren't going to get that skill in UFA. It isn't coming in some miraculous trade. The Wings need what they never got. They need top 3 picks. If Yzerman can get a Raymond with a 4th overall, what does he do with a top 2 pick? I seriously think this team goes nowhere indefinitely unless we embrace a 2-3 year basement run. Plus, that basement run must come with lottery picks.
A trade to improve the team would be difficult at this point, so a coaching change would be the only move. That's not guaranteed to help either... We're quickly headed toward a sell off at the deadline.
When WSH scored on PHI's empty net in a tie game situation in April 2024, the Wings knew that it had happened and that their shootout win that night had no meaning. They knew ALL the previous huge comeback wins ended up having no meaning. That empty net goal that broke a tie in a different city that had nothing to do with the Wings game, is something that deflated the team to this very day in the same year of 2024. Theres zero belief.

I agree, his moves over the summer had me stunned. He tore down half the roster, but didn't try to clear dead weight like Copp, Compher, Holl. Let Ghost walk. Talbot, Kane, Tarasenko made sense as UFAs, although two of them arent doing much of anything atm. The rest...horrid.

I no longer take the losses seriously anymore. Yzerman did not make moves necessary to improve the Wings this past season. How much are his hands tied by Illitch from making big signings? I have no idea but it is apparent that Haris' hands are tied in trying to improve the Tigers. The Wings like the Tigers have some tremendous young talent but there are so many holes with both teams. With the Tigers at least we have Hinch, Fetters and others. Lalonde is not having the results that Hinch has been having. Whether or noit the Wings turn it around this season is not the point. Painful to watch is being polite. Dump and chase needs to stop they simply don’t know how. Watching every team just go grab the puck and breakout with no pressure game after game is hard to watch. They should try controlling the puck into the o zone because that’s when the actually get their chances and the fact that the coaching staff hasn’t identified that shows they should be fired. Outside the obvious being the players seem not to care anymore it’s all over their face in post game interviews I mean seeing the players reaction after Cossa first win should confirm to anyone that that’s the most alive the players have looked this whole season

Looking at some players Detroit traded away. Jake Walman 22 pts in 27 games, Shane Gostisbehere 25 pts in 28 games. These 2 weren't good enough to play on the Wings. I'm thinking they didn't get along with the coaching system. I'm glad Lalonde's contract expires at the end of the year.
You assume that they would put up those same numbers on this team. They wouldn’t. This system simply doesn’t allow it. Both players would have significantly worse numbers and we all probably be complaining about their defensive lapses

Better than his 2 years in Detroit combined. Last year there was a problem. This year is worse as most players on nights don't give a damn.
And Walman was a problem that they gave away as well as a 2nd round pick. I think we know otherwise as do other players on the Red Wings whose contracts expire at the end of this year or next.

He was easy to move without retaining salary, whereas Chiarot and Petry or copp would have had to have way more than a pick attached. Free agency didn’t work out, maybe for the best, and Walman is flourishing on a team where he’s being given an opportunity that he simply wouldn’t have been given in Detroit. It is what it is
Marian needs to clean up this mess. Fire yzerman, fire Lalonde, find a better GM and coach. When trading Walman and a 2nd round pick to San Jose that said it all. Made no sense. The wings cannot find chemistry for the life of them. I guess we can only hope that we get Michael Misa and Reese Hamilton.
Cam played great. Other than that there’s not much to say. They are so mid it hurts. I’d rather be bad and get a top 3 pick than be stuck in mediocrity
Kane has lost a step due to age but watch his brain and decisions…you can see he constantly has to wait for others to join a rush, get into a position but his line mates this year just don’t. These guys aren’t making themselves options bc the system is dump and chase. There is no sustained pressure at 5v5 bc the team hasn’t practiced that. Coaching has made puck possession “risky”. This is why games are boring, players don’t know what to do with the puck, and a playmaker like Kane (a vet) won’t fit. This gets into the mind of any player and we’re seeing the results on the ice. And anyone who thinks Kane should be able to do it alone is delusional. Even in his prime he had quality players with him.
I dont think he should be able to do it alone, but he's also not converting when he does have opportunities. He's also making poor passes that disrupt the momemtum of the PP. Its not all his fault but he's also not helping.

For four years, I have commented that Yzerman doesn't have the Gile or intelligence to handle this job. He has loaded the management with buddies, who are worse than him. The line combos are horrible minus the top line and the checking line fisher motte and who ever playing center usually give lots of energy and effort. Of course the top d pair and Talbot. After those guys the rest should be ashamed as a pro athlete take pride in what you do. Tarasenko I can’t fault he scores as a right side wing. Yea he can play left but is not effect so a miss use of his skill on left side. I see him trying but it’s not where he should be slotted so is yzerman at fault for getting a scoring right wing when he needed a scoring left wing this off season? Lastly I like Lalonde he seems like a good man and could be a good coach on a team suited for his game plan. That being said if they don’t replace him to show some sign of response for the teams play even if it’s symbolic then the front office is just accepting this product they put on the ice and will draft as high as they can and have all ready wiped this season which makes me angry as a fan. At least give the illusion of making a change for the product that is put on the ice for the fans. Like show your attempting to change this season even if it’s just a farce at least let us have hope for the rest of the season. This team will end up with empty seats in rink by end of yr if this continues

Lost interest a few weeks ago. I can't see calling certain players out anymore. If that player can't see what they are not doing, calling them out is not going to help. Go back to focusing on bad defense and lack luster offense and leave it at that. Coaching? Again, harping on that is not going to help. High draft pick? Maybe we can get one good player but then again maybe another 4th line center. Good luck guys, either way it will take years for that pick to be brought up. 🏒😓

Yzerman failed this team this off season. Lalonde failed this team since last March when they had the long losing streak.
Kane has been the biggest disappointment of any player this year. No fire in his belly and playing without much effort. To say he is frustrated with the system may be true but so are others that are putting forth an effort. Some may say it’s because of Lalone’s system but Lane played very well under this system last year. Lalone needs to go and I thought I’d never say it maybe Yzerman too.
How do you know it's not Chris Illich and may have nothing to do with Yzerman . We know that Chris Illich has put the stops on Steve's plans before.

I cannot defend Stevie any longer. He should’ve fired the coach last year during the losing streak. I can’t believe Lalonde is still the coach. I can’t take it any longer. Getting outshot two to one every single game. They can’t break out of their own zone. They can’t get any offense going because they’re too tired defending 3/4 of the game. Goalies being left hung out to dry. I thought the focus was defense this year? There is no defense. Fans have to stop going to the games and start booing the hell out of this team. And why isn’t Chris Ilich getting any flack? Allowing a garbage patch on the iconic jersey was one thing, but just watching this team die is another. People need to be fired now!

It would be moves just for the sake of making moves. Sell what you can and bring up young guys is my feeling. See how guys perform that are part of the next wave. Give them things to work on and take notes on your prospects. Some lottery luck would be good, but we will drop two places probably again.

I am more risk tolerant and am OK with the thought of three rookies. Especially when the players they would come in for are nothing special. Young players still have potential for growth and for learning from their mistakes. I am for upside all day in those scenarios. Not sure people are lining up for many of our free agent pick ups. Think our drafting and development has been very good. Think we start to see some of the later round picks making their cases soon.

Don’t mind the loss in a rebuild but the lack of fire and grit from the current lineup is mind boggling. Them guys get paid a lot of donuts to be fired up and ready to skate through a wall if need be and do what is necessary to win even if they got to bite knee caps and that just isn’t happening and I think it starts with the top down. The players Yzerman has signed are all depressing to watch. There is no fire and I don’t want to hear it’s the coach it’s on each individual to get fired up and make the opposing team to pay one way or another.

I’ve been apathetic. It took me a few weeks of this coaching system for me to not care. I knew it would never start working and I hate Derek Lalonde for it. I think he’s actually making our players worse, that’s a good reason to get rid of him. I don’t watch any other sport though, so I’m a fan of more than one hockey team.

I do think this would jump start the team as long as they hired a coach. Not the interim thing. But at this point is it worth it. Lalonde contract ends this season. Letting it play out could end up with Detroit getting a top 5 pick and Lalonde gone to start next season.

Wallman is playing as well as he did most of his tenure as a Wing. Don't know what his injury was late last year but the Wings thought it was not fixable. Yzerman should be fired for that trade.

he's 28, he could be on the decline at any point. and if he wanted to make the most of this year maybe he should have told the coach to play the best top line by far from last year and the only top line that could make this lineup work even a little bit this year. instead it seems likely he was annoyed by having to skate harder w Kane on his line and asked for it to be Raymond all the time. this besides giving them a vastly inferior top line that gets outscored consistently, also made Kane completely quit, which tanked the subsequent lines too. but hey, at least Dylan doesn't have to skate hard.
I'd be waiving my no movement clause and asking for a trade if I was Larkin. Yzerman is a pussy and won't change anything, and he can be a solid 2nd line centre on a Stanley cup team.

I'm breaking even on reselling my seats at the LCA. Not quite market value, but I save $150 a game by not having to pay for parking, beer and nachos. I'm done. It's too much to hassle twice or three times a week to watch us miss out on another playoff run. Scott, you were spot on. When fans look at our measly 38 points in February, then even the Yzerfans will be crying. Stevie did well with Tampa because he found an excellent coach. He hasn't found one in Detroit and we will continue to miss the playoffs until he does. And I'll stay home and watch the games. I'm just done.
Unlike most people here, apparently, I still feel very good about the long term health of this organization. With that said, this season is an embarrassment. I think we should trade some players for assets if we can but continue to try to win. Losing doesn’t help any of the players mentality, doesn’t make anyone want to come here, and also doesn’t guarantee us a high pick as we’re all well aware. I think a coaching change and system overhaul will help a lot, but the Illitch family simply doesn’t fire coaches mid season, and it seems unlikely to happen now. Lot of contracts come off the books this offseason. Hopefully Yzerman can do better in free agency

This roster is not this bad. There is only one explanation for the Wings only being able to breakout by wrapping the puck around the boards, where Patrick Kane is terrible. There's only one explanation for so many basic aspects of their game being bad, and so many players struggling to contribute positively. A rising tide lifts all boats, but Lalonde has these boats out in the desert.

You want a hot take? If we traded Larkin, not only would we get a massive return, but we'd likely finish last next year. All these woes would be immediately justified if we landed Gavin McKenna. Seriously, I think we are closer to a tear down than we are to the playoffs. The only player on the Wings with lots of value who isn't the same age as Yzerman's core is.. Dylan Larkin. I love Larks, but I'm ready for drastic measures and I'm sure he's sick of losing. Plus, he'd bring in a haul of picks and prospects. The draft lottery system is fairer now, too. The Wings could go all youth, and suck it up for 2 more seasons. Imagine if we land McKenna and Dupont. I already think we're getting Anton Frondell this season. He's got legit 1C potential and is the best Swedish prospect in this upcoming draft. The Wings lack elite talent. The Wings lack high end skill. It's obvious that every team we play has players who can near single handedly beat us. We get out-skilled. We aren't going to get that skill in UFA. It isn't coming in some miraculous trade. The Wings need what they never got. They need top 3 picks. If Yzerman can get a Raymond with a 4th overall, what does he do with a top 2 pick? I seriously think this team goes nowhere indefinitely unless we embrace a 2-3 year basement run. Plus, that basement run must come with lottery picks.

When WSH scored on PHI's empty net in a tie game situation in April 2024, the Wings knew that it had happened and that their shootout win that night had no meaning. They knew ALL the previous huge comeback wins ended up having no meaning. That empty net goal that broke a tie in a different city that had nothing to do with the Wings game, is something that deflated the team to this very day in the same year of 2024. Theres zero belief.

I agree, his moves over the summer had me stunned. He tore down half the roster, but didn't try to clear dead weight like Copp, Compher, Holl. Let Ghost walk. Talbot, Kane, Tarasenko made sense as UFAs, although two of them arent doing much of anything atm. The rest...horrid.
At this point, I’d rather see them tank, get a decent draft pick, and rebuild 2.0.

I no longer take the losses seriously anymore. Yzerman did not make moves necessary to improve the Wings this past season. How much are his hands tied by Illitch from making big signings? I have no idea but it is apparent that Haris' hands are tied in trying to improve the Tigers. The Wings like the Tigers have some tremendous young talent but there are so many holes with both teams. With the Tigers at least we have Hinch, Fetters and others. Lalonde is not having the results that Hinch has been having. Whether or noit the Wings turn it around this season is not the point. Painful to watch is being polite. Dump and chase needs to stop they simply don’t know how. Watching every team just go grab the puck and breakout with no pressure game after game is hard to watch. They should try controlling the puck into the o zone because that’s when the actually get their chances and the fact that the coaching staff hasn’t identified that shows they should be fired. Outside the obvious being the players seem not to care anymore it’s all over their face in post game interviews I mean seeing the players reaction after Cossa first win should confirm to anyone that that’s the most alive the players have looked this whole season

Looking at some players Detroit traded away. Jake Walman 22 pts in 27 games, Shane Gostisbehere 25 pts in 28 games. These 2 weren't good enough to play on the Wings. I'm thinking they didn't get along with the coaching system. I'm glad Lalonde's contract expires at the end of the year.

Better than his 2 years in Detroit combined. Last year there was a problem. This year is worse as most players on nights don't give a damn.
And Walman was a problem that they gave away as well as a 2nd round pick. I think we know otherwise as do other players on the Red Wings whose contracts expire at the end of this year or next.

He was easy to move without retaining salary, whereas Chiarot and Petry or copp would have had to have way more than a pick attached. Free agency didn’t work out, maybe for the best, and Walman is flourishing on a team where he’s being given an opportunity that he simply wouldn’t have been given in Detroit. It is what it is

It is not Kane. It is the coaching system. That’s why we are god awful and terrible to watch. The players are miserable.
Kane has lost a step due to age but watch his brain and decisions…you can see he constantly has to wait for others to join a rush, get into a position but his line mates this year just don’t. These guys aren’t making themselves options bc the system is dump and chase. There is no sustained pressure at 5v5 bc the team hasn’t practiced that. Coaching has made puck possession “risky”. This is why games are boring, players don’t know what to do with the puck, and a playmaker like Kane (a vet) won’t fit. This gets into the mind of any player and we’re seeing the results on the ice.
And anyone who thinks Kane should be able to do it alone is delusional. Even in his prime he had quality players with him.
I dont think he should be able to do it alone, but he's also not converting when he does have opportunities. He's also making poor passes that disrupt the momemtum of the PP. Its not all his fault but he's also not helping.

For four years, I have commented that Yzerman doesn't have the Gile or intelligence to handle this job. He has loaded the management with buddies, who are worse than him. Illich doesn't care as he continues to make millions, Many fans have been defending this clown,but finally they are realizing that he was a great player, but is a dumbo as an executive. Yikes!

Someone needs to step up and start calling out poor efforts….. too many passengers. System, coaching etc is easy to blame and maybe it’s right but I don’t see a ton of efforts or puck battles won…. It’s unwatchable but no one seems to want to do anything about it…. Just keeping hoping this square peg to fit in a round hole.

Honestly if feel bad for you both. You have to watch these games to do your show I can just turn the channel. Such a disappointed disgusted feeling watching this team this yr. The line combos are horrible minus the top line and the checking line fisher motte and who ever playing center usually give lots of energy and effort. Of course the top d pair and Talbot. After those guys the rest should be ashamed as a pro athlete take pride in what you do. Tarasenko I can’t fault he scores as a right side wing. Yea he can play left but is not effect so a miss use of his skill on left side. I see him trying but it’s not where he should be slotted so is yzerman at fault for getting a scoring right wing when he needed a scoring left wing this off season? Lastly I like Lalonde he seems like a good man and could be a good coach on a team suited for his game plan. That being said if they don’t replace him to show some sign of response for the teams play even if it’s symbolic then the front office is just accepting this product they put on the ice and will draft as high as they can and have all ready wiped this season which makes me angry as a fan. At least give the illusion of making a change for the product that is put on the ice for the fans. Like show your attempting to change this season even if it’s just a farce at least let us have hope for the rest of the season. This team will end up with empty seats in rink by end of yr if this continues

Lost interest a few weeks ago. I can't see calling certain players out anymore. If that player can't see what they are not doing, calling them out is not going to help. Go back to focusing on bad defense and lack luster offense and leave it at that. Coaching? Again, harping on that is not going to help. High draft pick? Maybe we can get one good player but then again maybe another 4th line center. Good luck guys, either way it will take years for that pick to be brought up. 🏒😓
