Ooh, I'm watching this young lad over here in the UK. I'm a massive Roosters fan , running a new team here in the UK ( Stoke-on-Trent Staffies RLFC ) . Loved watching the Walker lads play, and what they did at Ipswich, and having Cooper Cronk as a mentor is going to be a " Gold Bar Ride " for Sam. Pretty excited here. Goooaaarrrnnn the Chooks.
@illdieonmyfeetnotliveonmyknees in my opinion it never was "THE most physically demanding sport" dont get me wrong, its definitely up there, but i think there are a couple others that are even more demanding.
@@khankake9576 those are both quite physically demanding aswell. I think the forwards in rugby union are also up there with league. Motocross and Olympic wrestling are just above though in my opinion.
@illdieonmyfeetnotliveonmyknees motocross, higher heart rate for the 30min duration, higher energy expenditure per minute, higher strain on muscular endurance per minute, higher cardio vascular/ vo2max requirements. Not to mention a lot of them crash, get back up and race under the same physically demanding conditions. The impacts of a crash aren’t as often, but the average motocross crash equated to roughly 50min of a forwards repetitive hit ups/ tackles. 2 crashes and that’s a full game of contact within a 30min period and the physical strain is still greater. Motocross edges out league and union, just.
This kid is 100% an indicator of how garbage Brisbane recruiting is. His dad spent 5 years at the broncos, his uncles spent 7 and 3 respectively, he grew up in Ipswich and yet he’s wearing the red white and blue while Brisbane is in dire straits looking for a playmaker.
It's because when it came to a contract the broncos wanted him to fly to Brisbane by himself as a 17 year old and the parents weren't allowed to come.fucking dodgy as
@@khankake9576 what part about anything he just said didn’t make sense to you ? Because what he just said has absolutely everything to do with the broncos
Coops may not be the best halfback of all time but definitely will always be my favorite.. pure class and professionalism. Not to mention a high footy IQ.
NRL 360 needs a minimum of 2 ex NRL players each week to keep the discussions grounded... and no, Paul Kent's single game for Parra does not count him as ex NRL lol
No, Fox League in general thankfully understands that ex-players don't necessarily make good analysts or commentators. People like Cronk are an exception, not the rule.
If he can keep himself from becoming isolated he'll be fine. Thurston was the master of being able to hide in that defensive line. Walker hopefully can do the same.
Yeah! I live in Ipswich, grew up as a kid in Bondi /Tamarama. The Roosters will teach him & QLD will use him. I still support the Roosters (Easts in my day) & the Blues, can't help it. It's in my blood. look out for him in State of Origin. After that you can bet the Broncos will try to buy him, big time.
Honestly I saw some of his junior highlights that running game short kicking game and passing very reminiscent of Alfie. Not the same but there’s that type of footy in him. Also cooper Cronk sounds a lot like he’s gonna be a bit of a halfback whisperer.
Shape him into another Cronk?? Stuff that, let him do his thing. Shouldn’t have to play like Cronk or be like Cronk, should let him play the way he knows best, it’s what makes players unique.
Hes going to fold under pressure like they all do when you put the world on his shoulders. Last 10 years I don't think anyone has been able to handle these high expectations consistantly.
Bc that's what happens. If they weren't given them sort of pressure situations, it'd be easy & then boring, bc every average Tom will be doing it. He knows what got him here, & that's exactly what they can see. SMH, don't go starting on Joeseph either. Don't like the Roosters.... or the Stormers, but all best to these young guns.

Kyle Flanagan had the same start as he did. To do it week in week out will be difficult.
I wish the best future for any young fella coming into what I consider THE most physically demanding game in the world. Cheers.
THE most physically demanding? Probably not, most definitely up there though for sure.

Just worrying about his defense only ....he need to be among good defenders on the field to safe guard him because most teams will target him..
I thought that but I noticed some of the really big boys ran straight at himan he stopped them with no issues

Better structured teams like Canberra, Melbourne and South Sydney will test him.

No body talking about your grand pa Tedesco.
