Thanks for this amazing comparison. I prefer Diapason, my personal taste. Other 2 are different. Obviously this test shows the preference of each of us. They are all outstanding speakers.
thanks for the interesting comparison. Personally I like the Sonus Faber the most, as they are the most open and full range among the 3 speakers. Falcon is too boomy at the bottom end, while Diapason is not as silky for violin as Sonus Faber.
I got a Signum pair and IDK if gonna love them. I agree w what yore saying about Falcon. Also the facts Signum lacks of midbass range, where vocals're thin in the body or "nasal". Falcon are warmer, where comparing to Signum sound boomy, but I think thats appreciable. Electa Amator II, that I compared against Signum, got a lil step more in warmness, also are more neutral in highs
Diapason Karis for me. I had to wanted to prefer the LS3/5a but after about 20 listening I have to say Diapason for me. I here more of the wood with no resonance. I can ear the wood is rigid but not glassy and the chords are better too. Sonus Faber is second just because a little thick on the medium base, less naturally articulated in this region but very seducing. LS3/5a unfortunately last. Most manipulative sound and diffuse in a natural way but... and I have owned KEf, Rogers, Spendor and Harbeth LS3/5a. Time to buy the Diapason!
both have sound signature... to my ear for long session listening, falcon is the one Smooth top end. Sonus weighter but bit fatique. Both great, up to our taste.
The BBC LS3/5a sounds best or the most natural amongst the 3 pairs. In my opinion, similiar size Harbeth BBC LS5/12a made during the early - mid 90s is the best small loudspeakers in the world but unfortunately discontinued. The reviews were not really good then and unfair too. Not only the LS5/12a power handling is 100watts but aslo revealed faults in the LS3/5a. If you are a LS3/5a fan, you must listen these (hard to come by) LS5/12a.
I too found as some others did that I thought the overall winner was the Falcons. However it is probably the least attractive of the 3 though. The Diapason is a work of wood art, with the SF coming in next. The poor Falcons look very modest in comparison but did seem the best balanced and might handle different genres a wee bit better. Not sure from just listening here but when a speaker has a nice balance it handles different music a little easier in my experience. However if you are lucky enough to own all 3, wow you are living large my man.

Sonus faber signum all the way for me. LS3/5A has boomy bass. Karis were nice too though. I have a pair of signums and today auditioned against £11K Kudos Titan 606 and prefer Signums using Audio Research Ref 75 valve amp.
nie jestem pewien, co mówisz, ale wszystkie trzy głośniki są dobre. Facet, który zamieścił wideo, ma Diapasona, ale powiedział, że Sigma brzmiały najlepiej w teście.

Damm, that iodiotphile is able to listen to a " neutral cable" through youtube highly compressed audio signal recorded in someone's else room through an phone mic ... these audiophiles are wonderful people to read, made my day🙃
Diapason all the way. Falcon is very pleasant to the ear, as all BBC derived speakers, but is not focused. Sonus is rather bland, nothing special, Diapason has a big sound rather larger than life, and yet accurate and detailed. Not to mention its looks.
On this test and this gear Sonus sounded the best, but all speakers sounded great each having some things in which they shine. Personaly I'm owner of Diapason Karis 2 speakers.
For Falcon Ls3 / 5A, you need to select more massive stands. Sonus Faber Signum gives a very lively and emotional, slightly dirty and inaccurate sound. Diapason Karis needs a different power amp.
This was a almost dead run. They do things different, it boils at a degree down to what you are used to, and what work best of equipment around them. None of them are a clear looser. When the singer takes a breath it sound to sharp on the Sonus, softer and more credible on the other two.

the characters of Diapason and Harbeth were all present in SF Signum needless to say they were magnified in a higher level. Soundstage and openness are the main char of SF more present than the two but Harbeth can drown you when it comes to mids and soundstage almst as wide as the SF.
Thanks for this amazing comparison. I prefer Diapason, my personal taste. Other 2 are different. Obviously this test shows the preference of each of us. They are all outstanding speakers.
Great video, all three speakers are amazing 👏, each one has it's own charm 😉

Thank you very much, I find the Falcon to be the sweetest, Sonus Faber the more defined, the Diapasons the winnig compromise.
Congratulations for work!
Ls3 definetly most natural and linear sound amazing speakers, sonus very colored unatural sound

There is a minor hardening/edge of midrange on diapason and signum. Falcon remain smooth open and natural
Sonus Faber sounds beautiful. Karis in other way is a bit bloomy. Falcon sounds very accurate.
Agree with you, Grtz Phil
Sonus Faber Signum for me.... very detailed
They are all superb!
Falcon’s for me, the Diapason seems to have an enclosed sound the Sonas are a very close second.
The Diapason for my ears they sound more natural and realistic to me. BUT they're ALL awesome!
Falcon has a vintage sound. SF has a modern sound with much higher resolution and details. The violin sound is very beautiful.
Sonus faber sounds more like music than hi fi - through my headphones at least!
They all sound great. I prefer the last. What amplifier drive them? What’s the gears?
Audion amp and preamp with all NOS tubes, 47 laboratory shigaraki usb dac, all NIMAK cables: X30 and X15 power chords, usb cable Black+, Coma speaker cable and Purple interconnect. Laptop as source.
Going from the sound from my phone, I'd have to go with the Falcon Ls3. It seemed to make the best of compromises
The Sonus Faber beats the Falcon and Diapason. It's just more meaty and musical and emotional. It's an easy decision.
They are all good just different in good ways 👍
Sonus faber signum all the way for me. LS3/5A has boomy bass. Karis were nice too though. I have a pair of signums and today auditioned against £11K Kudos Titan 606 and prefer Signums using Audio Research Ref 75 valve amp.
The Les/5a bass only goes to 70Hz so in no way can be boomy.
Ale wszystko inne ma lepsze

Falcon Ls3/5A...the best
Sonus Faber hands down.
LS3/5a! LS3 - Gold
Diapason - Silver
SF - Bronze.
SF and Diapason grabbed me initially, but quickly became fatiguing.
Good comparison. May I know the brand of the speaker cable which seems very neutral for all speakers? Thanks.

5687 WA THOMSON CSF WITH OPEN PLATES NOS
@@SlugaBeskorisni the NOS OPEN PLATES are very rare!
the sonus is projective in the voices and anormol(stereo image)

Sonus Faber 9.5, Rogers 8, Diapason 7.5
all three sound amazing i prefer the karis they sound so full and smooth
Que difícil, para mi oído Sonus faber me emociona un poco más
Are these the Falcon GB or Silver Badge 5as - it doesn't seem to say.

Diapason just sounds right for instruments and vocal, even not as silky as SF. Falcon is simply natural. Overall I like diapason.
Sound great on Falcon, especially vocal
Karis III all the way. Doesn’t sound like there is a crossover at work. Much better flow
I like the signum. Others were good too
Diapason 👌
Falcon!
