Back from FERMAT visit, four factories and six hours in the car day one, the Prague factory on day two. I've been to Mori Seiki, Kitamura, Niigata, FANUC, Finn Power, and over 15 factories in China; and FERMAT was most impressive. Very serious commitment to accuracy, and power in the cut. Induction hardening with laser, Yep.
Here in Czech Republic, Fermat + HEIDENHAIN is maybe the best choice. I have experience in Fermat (programming and practical milling ) and I'm very pleased. Fermat can make machines, but can't sale them. There is and one more manufacturer that is interesting for me, but don't have possibility to test their job - TDZ power.
Seems extremely slow to me but, hey, I just watch these videos. I'm not a machinist. Evidently a lot of folks watch these to point out perceived safety violations. I guess safety guys learn a lot from these videos too.
safety is, you can not go close, sensors turns off machine immediately while it is looking slow in reality with conventional methods might keeps 20 times longer to make it that work pice is close to 24 in diameter..
the price tag includes winning the mega millions jackpot 3 times, selling your left kidney and sacrificing your first born child. all in all that's one heck of a machine. Probably going slow for demonstration purposes too. it might be in a product testing phase for all anyone knows. using a robot as a dedicated ATC shows major potential
Pretty cool stuff. Work on the positioning speed and tool change speed and that will cut down on spindle time. Profit increase or customer savings perhaps a combo of both. JMO. thanks for sharing.
I'm sure they're only have the doors open so they can do the video it's not how it usually runs and I think that's why it was so slow to most cnc machines won't run at fast speeds with the doors open
Ok, just to remind you its over 5 years old, you should take a look at our newer videos, if they impress you then you could also SMASH the like button or subscribe. :)
That would have to be the nicest tool changer I've ever seen!!!!
uinohmmm.

Going to Czech Republic & FERMAT in September to see this unique technology in action. Excited to visit Prague & Brno.

How amazing.

The best one..
Tool change seems rather slow
This video is just for demonstration of the installed machine.

Why rotate table, when much faster just rapid feed X-Y axels? Or i downt know how axels go on that machine..
because it does not get too far behind the table center (we have one similar machine in our factory with square table)
now thats a really slow machine...
But it makes up because its all done with one machine, not 4 or 5 machines.
3:11 .... guy in background not paying attention to working, lol,
Drill is big when it shattered its like a bullet people just walk by

coolant bath anyone?
4:03 ... Who is this fella that is not wearing his safety glasses in a work area?? lol tsk, tsk, tsk.
it's great
Ada lowongan engga
I bet this things been crashed more times than a bowling ball!
Big deal. Can do that on my Mazak vtc 800.
This is a long way from being impressive.
