I actually prefer compartments that allow for tight organization on my daily backpacks, mainly because I carry a bunch of little stuff, so it helps locating them in a pinch. As for a sling, and if it's the only thing that you carry, I prefer dump pouches like the Kadet, because I put the bare minimum essentials in little organizer pouches, and then dump everything in my pockets into the sling. It's just so much easier especially in the winter when I have gloves on.
I have had several sling bags from different companies over the years and I always go back to the chrome kadet... it's well made and that iconic chrome buckle does it for me... looking forward for more bag reviews from you...well done
Time for a new entry in the sausage sling comparison battle...the Loculus. I think we might have a new winner here and would love to see a 'Klint squint' (I know, sorry) into this some day.
I have the kadet. I wish it was a smidgeon taller and thicker so i can jam a light jacket in. Plus Velcro where the bike lock slot is. And maybe the front pocket could have a couple dividers and the back pocket in the large back compartment could be divided 1 more time and leave the main section big to handle bigger stuff and maybe a pouch. The shoulder strap with the Velcro could be a little lower. I was thinking of getting the tech pouch but i imagine it will be riding high up on my collar bone.
With current pricing and exchange rates, it appears to be about $125 more now. 😔 Not saying it’s not worth it, but not sure my budget can swing that right now for a sling bag.
Great review. I am sorely tempted by the metro runner. Would really appreciate some views on the optional upgrades. I am not a sophisticated user so the minimum spec would probably suit me fine …. but … urgh, I don’t want to miss out on the best!
@@ThePerfectBagsince the chest belt is MYR$ 30, and postage is MYR$ 150 (!) to the UK, I don’t want to regret not including the chest belt. All in, this would be a £100 purchase for me. I’ll have to think hard about that.
Team Seat Belt buckle ALL THE WAY. As a motorcycle rider, I can't get the strap over my helmet so the buckle allows me to quickly take the bag off without removing my helmet.
I have been in love with the metro runner for years now I don't own one yet because I'm not sure my fire HD 8 tablet will fit right in it still I will end up getting one eventually
Few questions….. does the metro runner have stabilizer strap? When wearing these both, would either be more suited for running and cycling? Thank you. I am leaning toward the chrome, because I’m a fan of cavernous bags where I can add my own custom organizers
@@ThePerfectBag thank you! After pricing both, and deeply considering your videos on the two, I have decided to go for the chrome. Something about that longer shape and the duck camo just gets me!
It's just me...but I wish reviews would discuss how long the strap is...when fully extended. A person wearing a thick winter coat...or a larger person...or a larger person wearing a coat...will not be able to carry a lot of these bags.
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you very much for your reply! That does help! Sadly...I'm the same height as you, but heavier...and it's cold outside! I have a tailor who uses webbing to extend the straps of various bags that I purchase. And I've ordered a Chrome Kadet! 🙂
@@ThePerfectBag Great news! The Kadet straps ARE long enough for a big guy...with some slack. I'm happily surprised. Interestingly, I realized the design requires the shoulder harness to ride on the opposite side to which I am accustomed...but that's not a problem. Thank you for your help!
Just ordered the prime version which uses VX42 and has an interchangeable strap for left/right side carry. Thanks for all the info
Perfect, exact topic I’ve been researching for months
😮 I’m so glad to hear that!!!
As a cyclist, the stabilizer strap on the MR sealed the deal for me
I wish I cycled more so that I could give better recommendations to cyclists...so I always appreciate when I get comments like this. Thanks!

Love that - I’m so back and forth!!

Hey thx! And welcome to the channel!

I like the kadet sausage bag ? Haha good one 👍 I used other sling bags there ok but the kadet fits more some how and stable while wearing.
Team pockets for sure! The more, the merrier!
If anyone is wondering the Metrorunner fits an ipad mini great. Mine has a slim case and actually fits in the larger back pocket.
Nice info!!!
Thanks!

Which ones are you thinking of?
@@ThePerfectBag the buckle upgrade to Astri Alpin Cobra, and there are 2 chest belt options, YKK and Fidlock.
I didn’t do the buckle upgrade as I didn’t want to add more weight. I also don’t use a chest belt on this bag.

smart! quick release is important in that scenario!

What are the dimensions of that device - I can measure mine
"Sausage Sling" is The only way I'll be referring to that form now! Great reviews!
🤣🤣🤣 thx
Which is better to draw a firearm from?
Sorry man - I’m not your channel for that. Sorry! I don’t own a gun.
Metromonger vs kadet max

You can add the chest belt to the metrorunner - I don’t use it. Either would work for cycling - but neither is suited for running

I have a Chromecast and I carry a Samsung Tab 8 perfectly fine in there
Awesome thanks for that detail

If it helps, I’m 6’2” 200 pounds. If it fits me, it’ll fit a lot of people. I’m a big dude.

Is there a chrome or sling that can fit a 10" tablet, but not so long. The chrome is good and a nice price but it's too long.
There are lots! Check out my playlist…I recommend the Aer Day Sling Max 3
