Them third gear wheelies though! Seems like this setup lets the engine pull harder all the way to max rpms, perhaps better than the slipper setup. Which the slipper setup might tend to slip a bit more and possibly earlier just due to the nature of it! Can't argue with this setup though, seems like a really strong part! 😊❤
Didn't seem like you had problems with the slipper clutch previously! How much difference is there between the clutch reaction time with this setup compared to the slipper clutch setup? I'm not that good a driver yet that I can do away with the slipper clutch on any of my trucks. Also very curious how it would work if a person were doing a lot of large jumps? I think I like the slipper setup on my trucks because I usually run larger tires and don't like having to change the gearing so much. So I like having a bit of slip still built into the driveline!❤
So it's not that I am having a lot of slipper issues but every now and then when it does slip (Usually in hotter months) it's a pain to stop. Get out the fuel and remove the top transmission plate to properly tighten and Locktite the screw. So I am really trying this to see if I can stop that altogether.
@rcbrooks3543 fair enough, I'm really interested in hearing more about it in the future what you think of how it works. Especially in the heat like you mentioned, in my neck of the woods it gets up around 30-38 degrees celsius, I think around 90- 95 ish fahrenheit. Wasn't aware that this was even an option until I saw your video. Keep burnin Nitro! ♥️🙂💯
as long as the backlash or mesh is set perfectly, you'll be fine. Glad to see the savage still monster trucken!
