Hi there! I am Patty Gurdy and some time ago I got asked to write some songs for the Amazon Prime/ Legendary TV series called "CARNIVAL ROW". The fairy I wrote for is called "Aisling Querelle" and she used to be a singer in the Fairy-country Tirnanoc. Enjoy this little extended piece of music :) And by the way, if you're wondering: This instrument is called "hurdy-gurdy". I explain it in my other RUclips videos ;)

In Germany we call it a "Drehleier".
Nice Instrument but not easy to play.
In french it is "vielle a roue", or wheeled vielle (a vielle is an old instrument that's sort of the lute of the violin)
In Dutch it's called a "Draailier"
Those are all great ways to say it. I feel like English may have picked the weirdest words for this instrument

@@hannajung7512a downgrade for most people that either allready appreciate her style of music, or people not thinking much of the ESC, but publicity wise even a stupid mainstream show like that can give talented artists a boost through casual viewers.

I was just watching the show and one of Aisling's songs was playing when I got the notification for this.
I wasn't even aware there is a show, this was just a Spotify suggestion I added to my liked songs list and listen randomly for more than a year now and I only discover the show two days ago, already started season 2. Awesome music!

Prodigious actors except for the lead female actress. That one was like a piece of wood moving around. I don't mean any disrespect, but it thrown me out of the story whenever she had to speak or react to something. And the story was good! Except for all the inconsistencies and plot holes... But I liked it.

Just started to watch the fifth episode of season 1, while listening to the same song I heard a hurdy gurdy playing and I told myself that, Dame, patty is also playing hurdy-gurdy.
Loved this song even when I didn't knew it was for carnival row.
