Thanks to you and Haumph, I made it to mythic pretty quickly this month! Love hearing your reasoning/figuring out how to use untapped companion correctly (not just blindly following it)!
I feel like Preposterous Proportions is one of the cards that is much better to try out the lower your rank is. Wouldn’t recommend it on episode #19, but #5? Let’s go!
I think at least early on you should always try the rare in this particular set. The lower rarity cards are either simple or reprints, we know how good they are. It's also a set where decks are a bit more likely to stall and slug it out with rares, so you need to know if yours are good or not.
Jim, you have to either think your opponents suck because theyre in gold, or think they know enough about the game to make heads up decisions. When you flip flop whenever you think theyre bad and get blown out because of it, you not only look like a jackass, but behavior like that makes me want to click off immeditely. You have said the phrase "were not trying to make fun of our opponents" so many times in the past, but this bronze to mythic season has had a lot of directly laughing at and making fun of opponents because they arent as good as the average diamond player.
Non-believer, barely any removal, no combat tricks. The stupid Eldrazi will probably save you in some games and maybe a game or two where you go T1: Llanowar elves, T2: random 2/3-drop, T3: Savior. If you do that on the play, your opponent will probably scoop. So, I guess you'll go 3-3 or so, but this is far from a winning deck. I admire you taking the bad rare over actual good cards.
