Great inversion over Windermere and great commentary. We walked into the mist when we did the horseshoe and only got a short view from Nab Scar so it was nice to see it all. Regards, Ashley
It was a good day, I've been lucky generally with the weather on the Fairfield Horseshoe, we had a Brocken Spectre one day I remember. Thanks for watching and commenting, it's much appreciated. ATB Alistair 👍
Absolutely stunning scenery Alastair. The lakes look so different through the seasons and equally beautiful. Love the last parting shot of your bus 😂😂👍
Glad you enjoyed it Phil. The changing seasons make such a difference as you say... it's always special when we get an inversion. The bus clip was a last minute thought 😂😂 Have a great weekend 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting, ATB Alistair 👍
I remember the same conditions on the 2nd of December. So I headed up Brantfell from my house and was treated to the best view I had seen for a long time.
Windermere seems frequently to bein an inversion. Often just a short walk uphill will reveal a surprise! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. ATB Alistair 👍
Always great adventures...and enjoy your commentary too...indeed, Nova Scotia has been mostly on the damp side of things for a few days as well...amazingly, no snow yet. Take good care of yourself...Bruce and Otis
Really pleased you're enjoying the videos. We had our first snow of this Winter, just a sprinkling... I don't think it will hang around long.🤔 ATB Alistair 👍
Alcock Tarn was the first walk we ever did from Grasmere, just seen that in the comments, will get very emotional as it was the walk we did not only to celebrate and honour my Dads passing but introduced us to the area! Something so magical about fog at this time of the year! Aye up you brought your mates, busy route, world class inversion ❤ this could be the best inversion on YT! Im glad to be alive everytime we watch one of your videos, truly magical! Alcock Tarn, well said goodbye to my Dad here. Still gets me every-time! Windermere, Rydal and Grasmere looking magical as the views clear! Alcock not changed a bit. ♥️
Well you picked a great first walk from Grasmere... I'm sure your Dad will be with you on all your walks... struggling with words here. You're right the low lying fog/mist adds an extra bit of magic to the day. There were a few folks about, I'm a slow coach these days 🤔😂 so everyone passes me! Alcock Tarn is a lovely place, especially on a Summer evening as the sun sets 👌 Thanks for watching and commenting, I hope it reminds you and Jill of good times 👍 Enjoy the rest of your weekend, ATB Alistair 👍
Great views there Alistair As you say, a fantastic day to be alive. Although I live in London I have a friend who lives near Keswick and she has been sending me pics and videos of amazing inversions lately. Keep it up and thanks . Richard . 👏👏👏
It was a great day Richard, this week has been beautiful.... but very cold! Thanks for watching and commenting, it's very much appreciated. Cheers Alistair 👍
Goodness gracious me, think this is my favourite yet, those cloud inversions are magical and this was one of the first walks I did with Nicholas after we said a farewell to his dad! His mum and dad were huge Lake District fans! Absolutely amazing Alistair! Don’t tell anyone but you are in our top 3 of all RUclipsrs 😉🥰🤫❤️ what an amazing day you had x lovely touch with the bus at the end x
It's a great walk, made special with the wonderful conditions. A great introduction to the Lakes for you. I'm sure whenever you're in the Lakes Nick's dad is with you...if you understand what I mean. Thanks for watching and commenting, as always it's very much appreciated. Cheers Alistair 👍
Oh had plenty of those days in November, almost every day to be fair but man what a difference when you got above the clouds, it looked amazing. That never happened when I did the Fairfield Horseshoe last summer, we kept the mist and wind all day long 😠. Stunning views and I bet you were pleased you persevered with the walk, cheers Alan
Yes definitely pleased I carried on Alan. I've had some amazing walks above inversions over the years both in the UK and abroad. But the best was on Tryfan in Wales, North Ridge, Bristly Ridge, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach... with the Red Arrows practicing they're displays over a sea of cotton wool 👌👌 Thanks for watching and commenting, it's very much appreciated. Tek care Alistair 👍
Yes always good to see an inversion, I'm often a bit late on the hill so I'm sure I miss quite a few. Alcock tarn is a lovely place on a summer's evening with the sun setting.... it's magic 👌 Thanks for watching. Cheers Alistair 👍
Haha, you were in my mind when I was toiling up the steep path onto Nab Scar! I'm sure you're not biased.... it's a wonderful area. Due to the Winter Timetable I've spent a lot of time in the Rydal area over the last few weeks, I've loved every minute of it... even the wet minutes!! Thanks for watching and commenting Graham 👌 ATB cheers Alistair 👍
Big like friend 👍👍👍👍👍
