Whoops! While Waiting and Metaphor ReFantazio look a little different 😅 There are links to both in the description so you can see what they really look like. Sorry!
Similar to trying to capture the D-Day beach landing scene from Saving Private Ryan, I feel like a lot of games in the early 2000s tried to capture the feeling of the 2001 movie, Black Hawk Down. Full Spectrum Warrior, Conflict: Desert Storm, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty, etc.
1:09:25 | For Alan Wake 2 not selling well also it doesn't help that the game didn't a physical release at launch and was an Epic exclusive, that's a good handicap if you ask me.
Basically what I've been feeling RE the Silent Hill 2 remake; it may be a solid game but I don't like the idea of it eclipsing the original. It's a game with the same story, it's not the same "game"; engaging with the original as an interactive experience is completely different. But yeah, hopefully more good original SH games (that are better than the rubbish they've been putitng out running up to the remake)
You SHOULD play the remake and not the original. Many people would not even give the original a chance and many people shouldn't! For people who LIKE video game history, THOSE people should play it.
@@fivetwoeighty7012 It's the mechanic of the thumbstick needing to be in the correct position and rotating. That's the part that's so similar it looks like plagiarism. Probably should be disguised better. I'll also add that I thought of the arcade game Tempest and the Harmonix game for PS2 Frequency as progenitors as well if we're talking games where you travel down a tube

Dr. Danny Disease Diagnosis.
That should be the title for the game.
I would feel an Anne Frank Funko Pop would be very hard to find.
I did nazi that coming
@@JohnDoe-se5vf Don't worry, it was just Anne prank.
This is the thread of all time
I agree with Jeremy, I think silent hill 4 is my favorite. It just has such goof characters and story is amazing. It is difficult at first tho
now every indie horror game is the apartment section from silent hill 4
Danny's fucking off tangents is just a hoot 2 listen to while Jesse and/or Frank is like "Is this gonna stop soon? no?"
Diesel Dome was my fav discovery, such a brutal and crazy fast paced game, I "uckin love it
Jesse absolutely wins this intro item off! Shagadelic baby yeah!
17:38 and then danny at 17:58 made me LOL

39:00 whoopsie in the edit where you used the same footage for While Waiting as Goodbyes
1:13:00 similar thing. silent hill footage over metaphor
Dope! Looking forward to the next VR centric vid.
1:12:50 wow, i didn't expect the new Atlus game to look like this. They nail it.
Whoops! 😅
Keep Driving sounds like a modern version of The Oregon Trail.

Doc Danny 2 ! LETSGO !
For the police simulator games check "This Is the Police" (management, not GTA style)
13:19 but I am le tired!

I've never understood what appeal of Funk Pops even is. They feel like Beanie Babies for basement nerds.
HYPERBEAT looks suspiciously like a game from 7 years ago called Aaero
Mechanically? Sure, but so does beatsaber.
Aesthetically? Nah. Unless you’re considering flying through a tube to be an aesthetic.

Please make the fake FMV game trailer lmfao
We need Jeremy to be the patient. And Danny’s like “extremely obese” and it’s just Jeremy as is. 😂
yoooo early gang
Am I the only one that hated black mesa. Maybe not hated, but seriously terribly paced and not made by actual game devs.
Probably not, but most of us think it is ATLEAST on par with HL1
