    Thanks for the content, and I'll have to try the Newfangled Audio Saturate as a clipper. I use the Voxengo OVC-128 clipper, I would like to know what you think of it.

    Thanks for the great info, however something I want to know is when to use linear phasing, dynamic/natural or zero/low latency when eq vs master bus etc, haven't really found a good video explaining this so Ive been asking the chat gpt for info on this but the info it provides is... well, a bit confusing 😂 cheers mate

    Your content as always is great! Helpful, informative and creative.
    I think some of these aggressive zoom in/crop video effects are actually unhelpful for viewer to follow what's going on when you adjust settings.

    If the drum bus is already clipping (around the same attenuation) is it relevant to put a clipper on the master ?

    my music doesn’t fit these categories at all. unsure mastering is always needed.. curious to sign up but there’s no way i have ten songs every month to be mastered. could you do a 45 min song on occasion instead of ten shorter songs?

    The end product is still not close to the records I hear on the radio 😢 I think it's about 30% not 80% (4 hip hip)

    • @nofood1
      @nofood1 5 месяцев назад +4

      It will never be like them you can get 70-80% there maybe 90% if you’ve been in the game for 15+ years. Stuff on the radio is mixed and mastered by the world’s best using the best most expensive equipment. BUT, there’s still artists in many genres who mix and master they’re own stuff and are successful. Personally I rather mix my own stuff and pay someone to master it.

    Sorry, but this is bad advice video. The key is to listen to the music. Sometimes the best mastering moves is to do absolutely nothing. There is no such thing as a preset for mastering.

    I was told the perfect master is turning up the volume and exporting. Anything else is correcting your bad mix lol

    • @AVDRE
      @AVDRE 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes the perfect master requires a perfect mix & production

    • @GeryRydell

      Mastering is something they advertised for bedroom producer idiots like me who thought that paying somebody some money to slap an eq and Limiter on something makes a lot of difference to a bad mixdown 😂

    • @jayw9rld
      @jayw9rld 5 месяцев назад

      @@AVDREand the funny thing is there is no such thing as a perfect mix, someone else is probably gonna listen to it and notice a few errors 🤲

    Imanbek and Martin Garrix made it to the top without a proper mix or mastering. Do you think that 16yo teenagers care about super-duper mastering when they listen music on spotify? 99% of people dont even know what that is or nor willing to know about it. All these things are created just to make you buy more useless plugins.

      Sorry but garrix has a team who master his tracks always has.
      There's a lot of hype and bs on the net about artists especially people like Billie Ellis ,they say she does everything in a bedroom that's total bullshit ,she may write a track in her bedroom but it's recorded and mixed/mastered by a team of seasoned pros,they all do.

      Teenagers may not be able to recognize a great mix and master, but they recognize high and low quality. If the mix and master is bad, they just thing the artist is bad.
      Even if they aren't paying attention to bad quality, then as much as they'd love your bad quality song, they'd love it that much more if its high quality. Those who make it far without usually compensate with something else
