Site Assessment

There are several different types of "mini" surveys that are conducted concurrently during the general biological field survey. This video is on the site assessment survey. I describe the purpose of the survey: to search for, observed, describe, document, map, and photograph your project site's general existing conditions, including land cover; land use; natural landforms; terrain; soil types and conditions; rock landforms, features, and habitats; ground cover; plant cover; site disturbances and environmental stressors; areas of wildlife movement and wildlife corridors; and finally aquatic features and potential jurisdictional areas.
