- An experiment with noise on a Pico System III + Qu-Bit Chance.
When creating this piece I was imaging a narrative, it is written out briefly below.
NARRATIVE:
Squinting from the sun in their eyes. It’s almost painful but they can’t risk looking away for a second. What if it changes. They look stunned, as a sense of danger shocked their system. Adrenaline is pumping through their veins, though they can’t move. Not yet. Their body is working at top speed. Yet, their body language seems relaxed.
Across from them, under the sun, there’s someone else. Words wouldn’t reach them easily where they’re far away. Besides, it’s a cold day and everyone has a coat on. The sun gives very little warmth. The other person is equally stunned. Seeming to have a similar reaction. A long stare is shared between them. Neither knowing when to take the next action.
Their hands are moving inside their coat pocket. They run their thumb up and down the edge of their key repeatedly. In an attempt to suffer the anxiety without expressing it. Eventually, this brings ease. Enough for them to take a deep breath in. They smile whilst keeping eye contact. Then they quickly look away with a slight turn to the right. With a little delay, the smile was returned. Once acknowledged, they walked on. The noise grew in their mind. The interaction is over, but the noise will grow and show itself.
They walk on to find a spot 20 minutes down the beach and sit down. Knees held up by the arms and their fingers interlink. They stare at the sun until the noise dissipates. All their energy is exhausted. Then, they continue with their day.
