- Please read: the video capture was damaged which is what caused this watch out effect. The game is much more vibrant.

Dude I’ve had the demo installed all year because of how much I loved it. Right when it was about to hit that beautifully lit corn field the demo ended and I’ve been dying to play the full game ever since. STOKED to see it’s coming to game pass tomorrow!!
Playing this now on xbox.. the art style is so nice.
If you’re losing a fight just quit and load your last save and you won’t lose consumables that were used and you’ll be back to the same health you had on that save.
gamepass is the place to be
Loved this game. A real gem!
I enjoyed this game, reminded me of Earthbound on the SNES. Some critiques - the way you get some of the items necessary to beat the game is pretty cryptic. There’s also some softlock issues due to the game’s autosave feature, if it had a traditional save feature and more areas to grind this wouldn’t be a concern.
I am hopeful this game somehow gets a sequel that is more in depth and fleshed out.
Why is the video so.. grey?
I like that you mentioned being soft-locked because that's what happened to me. I fought that clown, ran out of healing items and couldn't beat him. I didn't really want to start over from the beginning after that lol.
Samething with me but you just have to kill some more smaller guys to to level up enough I got past it after like 6 trys
Level up
Indie turn based RPG's have always made me cautious. I don't know why. Maybe cos most of the time, the battles took way too long and the fight is way too difficult unless you have a specific abilities combination.
Hmm never had that issue. Ive played many rpgs and many indys.
@@prototype8137 Just me then? I refunded Astria cos the battle took way too long. Cris Tales is also the same. I feel like the only way indie turn based RPG make their battle is to have enemies with bloated HP, specific defeat requirements and they can almost one shot you.
I'm in the same boat. I hate how encounters are so limited to the point enemies stop appearing all together, XP gains drop wayyyy to much. And there is NO way to prepare for boss fights because you can only invest in one stat at a time when you level up. I want to get strong but i also want enough HP to withstand more than a couple attacks before i die.
What? Most of the time indie turn based RPGs are the best releases year in and year out.
@@derpderpin1568 Good for you I guess. For me, they feel very gimmicky and as I mentioned, the random encounters are way too long, they can somehow one shot you and often times, there's no proper way to power level.
This game is so AMAZING. Love it so much, big shame its so underrated !!!
Minor spoilers
I almost got soft locked when fighting the principal because if you die it respawns you where there is no way to get out unless you win and if you run out of items then you 100% would be soft locked
Yep me too
I took the items from the trash can, purposely died, got them again, and repeated this until I had tons of sandwiches
Felt like a love letter to earthbound fans
Your sister is like the only party member except your buddies that join your party :/ what?
The progresion here is very Super Mario RPG, timmings are easier tho.
I'm pretty sure you don't get softlocked if you have firecrackers you can escape the fight and then escape and go heal.
But what if you don't have any?
Doesn't work of your in the principal boss fight cause you just go back to where you would spawn if you die and can't get out of the house to heal....I tried this and almost got soft locked
This needs a switch release
This and Deaths Door are definitely indies of the year
@@lcoyle1998 I love Sable! 1000/1000 on my Xbox but it’s bugs and performance issues keep it off my GOTY list unfortunately
I think it's the best game I have played in a long time glad I downloaded it from gamepass I wish we had more games like this
Same where did u make it ??? I grinded for couple hours fighting those rats then sleeping and re fighting them got lotttta power now so fun
This game soooooo cold. The attacks, attack system and aesthetic are cool. And im old. Really cool gem here ppl. Earthbound, stranger things and Chrono Trigger mashed up lol
Why does your colors look all washed out?
The trailer seemed much more colourful, was there something wrong with the video capture?
I think the rendering f’d up
Trust me the actual game is much brighter
Kinda reminds me of paper mario 64 gameplay wise
Der Code zum Tresor ist 3122 war viel zu einfach sind die einzigen Zahlen die im Raum stehen
What's with the color filter in this video? The game is a lot more colorful, but it's like you deliberately removed some of it, how come?
I was liking the game for a while but then i hit a massive difficulty spike. Made me immediately stop enjoying it. Characters too weak damage wise, low health and enemies with high health. The QT events are very unforgiving and if you miss you do almost no damage. I'm very disappointed i wasted so many hours playing it.
Try again ...loving it . You gotta keep battling gaining points skills etc
Worst part of the game, imo. I love the graphics, the music, everything else, but the grind is fucking awful. To even stand a chance against bosses you either have to spend most of your money on healing items, or grind, which wouldn't be so bad if encounters weren't so long. It always feels like I'm under leveled, which maybe I am, but I shouldn't have to grind to play the story.
You are one of the guys that always play the ''easy'' level. Game is amazing, probably you are not good enough for this game!
@@robertdurden8881 yah some people don't have the patience I played it and beat it with my 5 year old kid
Interesting.
I’d play this and give it a try! Sadly I am on PSN
I moved from PS4 to Series S
Best decision I've ever made in gaming
@@JimmyEres damn, you must have some bad decisions… just based on that ✌🏻
@@zanychelly Not 'Bad', just "Not as good"
@@zanychelly I've heard the same thing from quite a few people actually. It seems like Series S is a great value system.
huh, this game could use some insta filters
I don’t know how he’s filmed it but trust me it looks much more colourful and vibrant in real life.
I'm telling you now... I want to like it, but its bad.... the combat is disgusting... the music / sounds are sometimes good but mostly just awful.... I wanted this to be good so bad.
Loving it
The grind requred early on killed this game stone dead, a lot of gamers never made it past the clown never mind the junk yard boss........very badly balanced and has no real feeling of rewarding for all that grind.
Reviews should not spoil the first hours of the game. Why do you and so many others not realize this. Youre taking away from the discovery.
You dont need to be specific for a review. General info is all thats required.
The corpse on the ship is the player's father
@@lightninglj bro come on. I didnt even play the game yet why spoil like that
@@anttheknee1372 i don't know if it's true or not, i didn't get very far. Give it a go anyway just because a few of us aren't having a good time with it
Thanks xbox gamepass
