Glad I got to see Eddie and Dave and the boys back in the day.
Remember folks, don't wait too long to go see your heros.
I had the chance to see them a few more times but thought ,"I'll catch em next time"
    There wasn't a next time.
Don't blink , because you may open your eyes and realize EVH is gone, Led Zeppelin is gone, Stones are retired, etc.

Yeah ! and he’s light years ahead of where I was at that age with the guitar 🎸 ( I’ve been playing for 37 years ) cheers to him for practicing hard, it shows ! I hope he keeps playing and someday we get to see him in a kick ass band live ! Definitely study the greats like EVH , Randy Rhodes, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai , Marty Friedman, George Lynch, Dimebag Darrell, Zakk Wylde etc. and please tell him to check out my personal favourite… Buckethead when he has the time that dude is insane good and a total riff machine who can solo like nothing I’ve ever heard before! writing his own legend as we speak. He can quite literally play Anything any style , acoustic, nylon string ,Electric, the banjo, even the piano and plays the bass like a monster as well. Check NatterNet channel on RUclips he has tons of Buckethead’s music on his channel, ( also check ( bandcamp.com/bucketheadpikes ) you can buy his all of his music in digital format there ) his solo albums are called “Pikes” and as of right now he has released 520 of them ! ( That is not a type o ! 😮) there is almost every kind of guitar playing you can think of in that stack of albums, usually about 1/2 hour long each. It’s a Diamond 💎 mine of guitar playing! Some slow beautiful acoustic stuff, some total face melter solos and everything in between ! Just dig around lots and find what he likes. I’ve been listening to Buckethead’s for over ten years and I’m only continually more amazed than ever! for mixes of his stuff check out ( gs buckethead mixes for the masses) channel he has some really good ones just so he can hear what this guy can do right away. He will be busy for decades! 😄 all the best, Keep Rocking Chase ! and your Dad already rocks ! 🤟🏻😎🤟🏻 you are the proof! 😄

In a world where the Super Bowl halftime is 100% on tape and fools sell out stadiums to see k-pop kids pantomime to a computer track they had no part in creating, it's beyond awesome to a young person put in the time and commitment needed to actually play a physical instrument. There is nothing like the feeling one gets from bringing music to life and hearing an audience appreciate your playing. He has EARNED the right to enjoy both and I hope he is able to keep this part of his life no matter what he ultimately decides to do in the future.

That's a very difficult song and also I think it's great that young players like yourself appreciate the work of EVH

That was great playing. I'm in my 50s and I can remember when a guy at school came in with a cassette player with the first VH album on a TDK cassette. When we heard Eruption we said the end has to be a keyboard with an effect on it, as we'd never heard anything like it before. Good times to grow up.

Outstanding, youngman. Much effort and time goes into having the maturity and dexterity to play these things. Stay with it. 🤘

A lot of Nuno Bettencourt in the techniques. A little bit of Buckethead. He's good and he's going to get greater. He'll get some attention. At this point he just needs to get off the sense that he is running scales, and vary his fingering as he goes up and down the fingerboard. That will separate him from the boys. STRONG suggestion.
