"Giant?"
"Hogarth. You...stay. I...go. No...following."
"I love you."
:,(
Kleenex!!! Where's the Kleenex!!!
I miss him :(
“You are who you choose to be.” Superman...........
Sad rip iron giant once a good friend and hero
Super man!!😭😭
Most people say ''remake''. I just say ''re-release in cinemas''
Wouldnt that be cool?
Eneko PH I think they did a few years ago
@Jon Jay yeah for the 15th anniversary I think. They bought it back to some theaters.
@Jon Jay and they added some new scenes ;l
I think not a remake...they should just make a sort of sequel and sort of reboot. Kind of like what bumblebee did with the transformers franchise. They should make a sequel but have it be live action and have it be different then the first one. A remake is un needed but I would love a live action sequal
Yeah re release no reboot remake or sequel
Lois: Clark...you choose who you want to be....
Clark:....The Iron Giant.
pretty sure Clark would say Batman
+A. H. Moss HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH
Iron Giant is my favorite Superman ever. I mean, Christopher Reeve and Tim Daly are good, but, not as good as Iron Giant.
Let's go home now
YOU ARE WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE!
1:18 - 1:51 Probably the best dramatical moment in an orchestral score that I've ever heard in my life..
I hear Mystic River's theme.
Based loosely on Nimrod from Elgar's Enigma variations (another giant).
Amem to that, brother. It brings me to tears, everytime. It´s heroic as hell, tragic, hopeful and, at the same time, sad.
True
@@andreallaodeazevedo8101Right there with ya, man. Perfection.
The Iron Giant is one of the most human characters I’ve ever seen.
Non-human-with-human-soul-characters. Along with Balto
Try "BOLO" series.
_Man of Steel_ move aside. _The Iron Giant_ is the perfect adaptation of Superman.
Luc Germain silence...
@Luc Germain actually their quite similar...
Both are super power aliens who crashed on earth, who have to wrestle with the internal conflict of whether they're doing the right thing.
I Loved Man Of Steel, though i don't think it's a perfect adaptation of Superman.
@@SmileyySmiley It is the perfect adaptation of Superman from the animated series with the same tone as Kingdom Come.
@@iv4nescrit0r10, I Agree, I don't know why I commented that.
One of the most underrated animated if not the most underrated movie of all time.
really it's not overrated but not underrated either i have heard many people talk about this wonderful film.
"You are who you choose to be."
"Superman..."
_"You are who you _*_choose_*_ to be"_ ~Hogarth/Dean
_"......_*_Super-man_*_"_ ~Giant

Great movie!
+L Kururugi (Ninja Samurai 荣誉) Waterfall of tears at that part. Even after 12 years.
+L Kururugi (Ninja Samurai 荣誉) Im teary-eyed now D:
*hugs*, i know.. i know 😂😂
L Kururugi I cant see straight *hugs back*
The optimistic tone of the Iron Giant mixed with its 1950s setting truly sells the feeling of the movie being a recreation of an old comic book.
1:30, chills every single time.
+Dank Meme same....
Precisely.
Glassy eyes.
Yeah
Superman....
Brad Bird is one of the greatest filmmakers ever!
Outside Tomorrowland, every film he's made has been spectacular.
the best movie I've ever seen the movie gets me in the feels every time.
Deven Pautz me 2
same. this movie is one of the greatest of all time
We know he's not dead but the music during the sacrifice is too good
I get sad to but angry as well start throwing stuff because my life is a peice of shit.
Crying, to be honest
This is a fantastic example of a score that synergises with the sound design of the actual movie. The moment of impact feels very empty, but within the context of the movie, with the rockets roaring and the Giant remembering Hogarth’s words, the effect is magnified and makes for an incredibly stirring sequence. This was a masterpiece of animation in filmmaking.
Best Superman movie ever!!
Peter: You are who you choose to be.
Haley: Batman.
Am I the only one crying so hard right now? I mean that movie is and still is my childhood!
Crønos mine too
Am crying too
The Iron Giant is definitive proof that pure quality and heart are the ultimate deciding factor in what film becomes a bonafide classic.
*YOU CAN FLY! YOU CAN FLY!*
A great scene
Michael Kamen and his style will live on forever. This track is so sad to listen to even when the scene it accompanies isn't shown. Draws me to tears every time!
+tarantulaguy1998
So too will James Horner, Whispering Winds from The Land Before Time, accompanied with that scene made me cry for the first time ever while watching a movie. I didn't cry when I watched Littlefoot's Mother die, because I didn't understand the concept of death back then, but now I do and I cry every time I hear that tune.
Only movie that makes me cry. And I saw Schindler's list and Grave of the fireflies.
+Krwzprtt
The only movie that made me truly cry, as of yesterday, Oct. 25 2015 was The Land Before Time, James Horner through his music really worked its way into my heart after all these years and I cried for real.
Agreed.
Gonna have to disagree with you there. All of them were heartbreaking.
0:55 when the tears start....
I cried in all of them
Undoubtedly, my favorite animated film.
1:30 WHO THE HELL LEFT THIS BOWL OF ONIONS HERE!?
"Superman"
Fuck. (T.T)
I'M NOT CRYING! YOU'RE CRYING!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Max Mahaney
MY dust allergy gets me every time i see this scene
I think everybody is crying 😭
This part of the movie will never fail to make me tear up...the emotional impact of it is just, it hits like a bullet train man...

That feeling you get when this song tried to sound like the theme from the Superman movie for a secound....
Perfect idea.

That would be the track The Planet Krypton by John Williams
I just want a Superman movie as optimistic, hopefully, and feel-good as this one was.

The Iron Giant is a charming and well-told story as well as a surprisingly nuanced Cold War allegory. Many of its themes remain relevant today. The paranoia around the machine in particular looks prescient in hindsight. The film shows us that technology is an awesome tool, whether it hurts or harms depends on how we use it.
Starring Vin Diesel as the voice of the Iron Giant, the film is a tearjerker that delays the inevitable separation of the robot and his young human friend. It was still remarkable for the way the Iron Giant makes viewers care so much for this unconventional friendship to lead into its heartbreaking conclusion.

The Iron Giant needed a deep voice, yet friendly and unmistakably metallic. Vin Diesel was luckily able to provide these unique qualities in spades. His ability to capture the trademark childlike wonder of the robot with the deep, resonant voice of a giant helped propel the film into critical acclaim. Vin Diesel would go on to provide voice work for more alien characters with a limited vocabulary. The Iron Giant still remains one of Vin Diesel's best movie roles.
