Halloween started out as a Celtic holiday "Samhain," which occurred on November 1st. When Christians converted the Celts, they changed the celebration. Samhain and its opposite, Beltain, were supposed to be the times when the spirit world was closest to ours. All Hallows Eve (later called Halloween) Occurs on the eve of Samhain, October 31st. The tradition of dressing up as something scary on the eve of Samhain was so that evil spirits (basically djinn) would think that you were one of their own and leave you alone. The fact that you could scare your neighbors silly was a fun bonus.
The guy with the large perm hair that said they are melting and was over the top was impersonating Richard Simmons. He was a fitness guru that was big in the 80's and 90's. He was obese when he was younger and decided to get in shape and help other people, had a heart of gold and seemed like a genuine good person. He died last in July of this year.
You guys need to see the world record for the largest pumpkin and another one where a news anchor can't stop laughing over a cat playing peek-a-boo with a paper bag.
The dude who was running around asking "Are we sweating" was a Richard Simmons (R.I.P. - this year) costume. He got famous being a TV exercise show host/trainer from the 80s. He was a obese young 20 something when his first couple of movies released, then got into fitness, got thin opened gyms for unhealthy folk to get healthy, became known, and in 1980 started his exercise TV career. Ohh that one walking through the Haunted House was in survival mode, fight or flight, had me laughing so hard...
I remember watching you guys on your old channel before you put movies on there, you have come so far and your english is so good etc. keep up the great work yall!!! I appreciate it for reallllll!!!! 😁
Most towns and cities here have their own news. and they’ll through 80% of their runtime cover mostly local and then national stories with the rest being international.
This holiday isn’t about evil at all. Some people get weirded out about it. It’s all about people having fun by dressing up in crazy/creepy costumes just having a good time. I love Halloween! The haunted doll house one was hilarious! Thanks for a laugh to start my day, Brothers! 😂
That seems like a reasonable response to me! My dad took my little sister and me to a haunted house when we were kids. My sister chickened out before we got past the door, but no refunds were allowed. Dad didn't want to "waste" the tickets, so he made me go through alone -- when I was 9 or 10 -- while he waited with my sister. I was completely by myself and after the first jump scare, just sprinted until I ran into a group that had entered long before me, which made THEM scream and caused me to keep running. I basically spent 3 minutes tearing through an experience that was meant to take 20 minutes, then acted like I wasn't completely terrified when I exited. 0/10, do not recommend doing a haunted house by yourself.
I don't celebrate Haloween because I'm Christian and believe it has too much paganism in it. BUT, I love costumes. So I go to the Renaissance Fair and Anime conventions to see awesome costumes and cosplays.
I love Halloween. I have a trauma problem though and it’s too hard on me to be frightened, so I can’t go to places where they scare you on purpose. I live near Disneyworld. They have a “Not So Scary” Halloween Night. There’s something for everyone in the US. Candy or costumes or cornfields
It's an old video, but The Ellen Show each year sent an employee or two to a haunted house, and the one titled *Andy and Amy's Haunted House* from ten years ago is SO funny. Even though it's been up for a long time, I was still surprised to see it has 21M views.
Halloween is from a pagan religious tradition, it isn't Christian. The church just allowed former pagans and Christians to keep celebrating it because it was so popular and the tradition was doing no harm. The idea of Halloween is that you dress up to scare evil spirits away, of course no one in modern times actually believe they're scaring spirits away, it's just fun. Christianity actually adopted a lot of pagan tradition, purely because pagans who turned Christians loved some of their old pagan traditions and were reluctant to give them up.
Halloween is a great holiday for adults and children. Adults like to party with their costumes and getting a little drunk. Children go house to house in the good neighborhoods collecimg candy saying trick or treat.🎉Party 🥳

That haunted house one was hilarious, I've never seen that before.
That poor lady going through the haunted house. I hope she didn't get PTSD.

I love Halloween! I think I’m gonna be Spider-Man again. It’s a non religious holiday here tho. Everyone celebrates it
Based on a Celtic European celebration about the night when the dead come out.
When I was a kid I got so scared while inside a haunted house that I fell down and crawled out on my hands and knees.

Every state has a few news channels. Most major cities have at least one. Smaller cities and towns will watch whatever is closest to them usually.
Halloween is bigger than Christmas to a lot of people, for some reason.
