Today on B&B, Thorne is faced with his own mortality, while Ridge is faced with Taylor's _immortality._
Ridge getting multiple lumps in his throat while Taylor enjoys shocking the hell out of him 😂😂😂
If that's what you call "enjoyment", you might want to consider some type of corrective eye surgery.
I like how Brooke reflecting on her and Ridge transitions into telling a bedtime story. It's a nod to her old archetype: a woman who delusionally thinks she's the heroine in a romantic fantasy (the "fauxmantic heroine"). Back then, the nods to fairytales were used to underscore that Brooke was the "other woman" who couldn't see that Ridge loved his wife but this time she _is_ "the wife" (and the one Ridge will choose) so it's used instead to foreshadow the looming threat to her marriage that she can't see coming. She thinks that "no harm will ever come to her and her family again" (17:35) but Taylor is literally revealing she's alive to Ridge downstairs as she speaks. Thus once again we see that the roles have switched but Brooke is unable to fully assume a new archetype and remains an unreliable narrator.
Yes, and the theme of telling stories to children has been recurring throughout the storyline - Taylor's Rapunzel story, Ridge's story about the veiled princess, and now Brooke's story to Bridget. It's like we get all three main characters trying to portray themselves as the main character of the story, and tell their version of how the story should go.
@@annieo6527 Great point Annie! 👍
Curious, are you able to describe today’s B&B in this kind of detail?
@@prestonrcasey That's a good question! I haven't watched a lot of recent episodes but from bits I've seen, I doubt I would be able to analyze them this way just because it doesn't seem like there's much content or craft to analyze. You know what I mean?

Ronn Moss just can't handle these kinds of scenes. He quite literally "doesn't have the range." One of many reasons why this storyline never should've been attempted.
Still better than when he found out about Caroline's illness.
I wish Steph would have just taken Taylor to Ridge. This scene needed Steph to help Ridge along...
Yes, the (non) acting seriously undermined the emotional payoff in this scene.

Lmao!!! I love it!!!
Didn’t Donna make that comment
Thorne is facing the death penalty and still no one in his family cares.
Right, and they are rich!!! They can hire an investigator and top defense attorney to help him..... they don't even visit him😭
Planning a party for Ridge was more important. He didn’t even ask where’s Thorn?
I guess none of the Forresters care that Thorne is facing the death penalty. 🥴
At this point the jury would forget Thorne 😅
Ridge is also facing a death penalty: being married to Brooke
Ridge got his eye sight back and I doubt he's even thought of going to see Thorne 😒

it is a happy new year today
Taylor is finally with Ridge the moment we all has beem waiting for is finally here he knows the truth and he is aware that his real wife is alive
Now I understand why Connor called himself a _relatively_ respected attorney. First he messes up Thorne's bail hearing by not taking the offer of a million dollars right away, and now he suggests Thorne plead guilty to a crime he didn't commit in order to avoid getting sentenced to death. I think Thorne needs a new lawyer because Connor isn't actually being very helpful. In fact, he couldn't do a worse job if he was in on his old pal Anthony's scheme (I'm not suggesting that he is, but WHY isn't the show addressing the connection between Connor and Anthony?).
This also ties into my question about why they sidelined Connor -- they also seem to have intentionally rewritten his skills to make him incompetent and sleazy. Not just in this storyline but also representing Dylan and the pregnancy storyline with Sheila. This is very different from how he was originally portrayed in the Belief storyline as a formidable attorney (granted a corporate one but still) and as being on the righteous side of the little guy. It feels like they intentionally made the character less likable, or took away his leading man shine. Was that to reduce his popularity with fans so they could shuffle him off to the side?
Conner has had practically zero contact with Anthony since Ivanas' murder. Seems like he'd be checking up on his house mate. Dylan is more clued in to Anthony's state of being and that's after seeing him once at Macy's apartment 🥴
@@NewYorkNick0607 is Anthony still living with Connor? I know he's temp moved in at macy's, but it should never be Dylan going to check on Connor at macy's.. It shouldn't be Dylan suspecting Anthony... it should be Connor.
There is literally NO connection between the two who were roommates and best friends.
Another example of awful writing and putting wrong characters as major characters in a story.
Just like James in the Taylor is alive story.. He had no business being there.
It would make more sense here for Connor, who has lived with Anthony, and Thorne's lawyer, to be looking askance at Anthony's behaviour. Not non entity Dylan.
I still kinda like Connor as a (corporate) lawyer, but I don't get why the Forresters don't have already hired a whole team of top lawyers for their son, Thorne.
For millionaires, they seem to act kinda cheap. During the belief formula they only had two different lawyers (Steve, Elliott) because Steve's cover got blown and they then had to get a new one.
But they had a different lawyer for the divorces (Charles).

Happy New Year…starting of cool cloudy and rain and it’s Summer here🙄😮🎊🎉🥳
Each new scene of Taylor revealing herself finds more ways to be frustratingly evasive. The combo this time includes Taylor answering questions with laughable literalness (Ridge: "You were unconscious. Then what happened?" Taylor: "I woke up"), Ridge vaguely answering his own questions so Taylor doesn't have to get more specific (Ridge: "Where were you? You were in the city where you were attacked?"), and Taylor not giving any details but promising to do so at some unspecified future date ("There's no hurry. We have all the time in the world").
"I woke up" had me howling! 😂😂
She learned from her interaction with Stephanie that it is better to not really try to answer the _complicated_ questions yet ( _When did you get your memory back? How long ago? Where have you been all this time? Were you kidnapped? Were you held against your will?_ )
"You were in the city where you were attacked." Who talks like this???
@@jonfoersterlolol😂😂😂😂
Talk about stating the obvious 😂
@NewYorkNick0607 😩what I don't understand is why did they write the first encounter like this: five minutes in Brooke's house at night and no time to explain. She should have gone to Big Bear with him . They should have had time to spend alone. Instead someone else will have the chance to explain his "own" story of Layla. Why😩.
Taylors reveal to Ridge and the background music is like a bad horror movie. And her speech to Ridge is like " oh i, Taylor the angel is back, it doesnt matter that i betrayed you with James, it doesnt matter that i married another man which is bigamie and a crime. i am back.. so forget all and love me " 😂😂😂. Taylors character is so lost and destroyed. She forgot suddenly about the kids at the palace which she wanted to be told she is returning.. Ups. Mayby she just forgot like all the missing answers about her disappearance for a year and all her wigs.😂
Conner looks so much like Garfield the cat. It’s uncanny. 😂😂
Why is he keeping distance from her like this? He should have kissed her first. Ridge has been talking about Taylor for months and once he has her near him he starts to question where and why and when. It should have been driven by the need to be with her at first, it is my humble opinion.
I'm not sure Ridge shuld just jump on her or even hug her🫂.I'm sorry if I c my loved one alive, no matter how much I love them or miss them I would b 💩 in my diapers too....
@@ambika66681 😂
I think Ridge’s reaction was completely understandable. He’s happily married to Brooke now…he thought Taylor was dead to him. Taylor also knows Ridge is happily married to Brooke. This was no time for passion and kisses. Ridge is in shock…Taylor needs to tread carefully and give time to Ridge to adjust to such a shocking revelation. I think RM and HT were good in these scenes together.🤔
This isn’t Hamlet…it’s just a Soap Opera! 🙄
@@bettyhopson I didn't say anything about the actors. The reveal scene was a complete failure after ten months of expectations back then and now. I didn't talk about the way it was acted, but about the way it was written. Awful. Anyway, Bridge has never had a moving scene together. They seemed always so forced and unnaturally romantic, for tasteful viewers of course. I can always go back and watch the perfect Tridge. You have to try hard finding deep romantic natural scene of Bridge.Just watch that dance yesterday. Wooded dance with the same song they used to have Ridge's dream sequence. Let's go and see Tridge dance during their first,as married, Christmas party at Staphnanie's . Romantic and sensual, completely natural. This is your “perspective” on characters in a Soap played by actors who are acting out a role. While there are other “perspectives” arrived at in the situations presented in the show. There were many romantic scenes between Brooke and Ridge (that I saw) too that viewers enjoyed.😊
This doesn’t need to get personal…on reason’s why one likes or dislikes certain characters if we can accept that others may disagree or have a different viewpoint? 😏
Ridge was smart to stop and pour another drink before answering the door. 😊
I had to laugh at Slash's confused look when Thorne started acting like a bad a$$ 😂😂
He looked like he wanted to ask.. Who are you and what have u done with my punching bag Thorne? 😂
I liked how Slash actually seemed _pleasantly surprised,_ like he was the teacher and his slowest student was finally catching a clue. It's like Slash is a kind of mentor to Thorne.
“Especially when it comes to the person you love most in the world” so Brooke said it out her own mouth ridge is more important then her kids, then to make it worse she says it in front of her daughter. Mother of the year right here
Those kids are only important to Brooke as a means to getting/keeping Ridge, no matter who their actual daddy is. 🥴
Very Sad 😢!!!
It is so funny to me that in 1996 when Bridget’s true paternity came out Beth accused Brooke of tampering with the results to keep Ridge around, Brooke acted all insulted that she was implying that she would prioritize a man over her daughter.
After the reveal of the resurrected Taylor will Ridge be able to perform on his playdate with his thirsty step mommy? 🤔 Find out on the next episode 😂😂
I'm not sure Brooke can be loganised after Ridge seeing Taylor alive😂😅
Honestly, most adults whose parents have remarried refer to their step parents as "my father's wife" etc. It's hardly like Ridge was raised by Eric and Brooke.
Wouldn't it have been something brooke standing at the balcony watching these two reunite helpless...
OMG the music....this wonderful music 🎶 makes me feel happy, and I want to cry for happiness ❤
Its so unbelievable that no one.. neither the cops nor anybody, realizes that Anthony was nearest to Ivana and must be the 1st person to be observed straight. poor Thorne.. stephanie cares about taylor and ridge.. but not about her son in jail with a murder in his cell and no chance to get out. Also Eric doesnt care nor Ridge.. i would say.. a family member in jail for a murder is!a big Family crises. But not for the Forresters.. 😮 its a shame, very bad script

I wonder if Donna listens in on Brookes playtime with her stepson Ridge😂
I don’t know what makes me laugh more, the thought of Brooke’s face when she finds out the latest developments, or the idea that anyone is going to buy California having the death penalty (even in the 90s).
I usually think that when it comes to acting skills, Ronn Moss is very good-looking, but he’s actually pretty good here at conveying the shock you’d expect from someone in his position.
Stephanie, you’ll always be my favorite, but why can you not pull your head out of Ridge’s ass for one second and come save your other son from jail and improbable execution? Nobody within a 100-mile radius of the dumb Anthony/Macy/Thorne storyline seems to have 2 brain cells left at this point.
Brooke talking with briget about playtime with her daddy when she knows she wanted to die when Eric touched her and Bridget is only exiting because she got wasted when Bridget was conceived 😂😂

@@NewYorkNick0607 a whole hot mess of dysfunction those logans
So funny to watch Brooke play happy homemaker with _Eric's_ kids. She's so unappealing that Ridge's "swimmers" didn't want to make copies of her.
🤭🤭🤭
And just like the scene where Karen reveals herself to Ridge, this one is equally flops. Ridge finding out Karen exists/Taylor alive should have been seminal scenes in B&B history. The whole point of Taylor's ridiculous one-year journey was her illogical sacrifice for Ridge's happiness. Now we finally get the scenes we've been waiting for and it doesn't work.
RM captures everything you'd want in a fashion designer/playboy, but intense emotional scenes are not his strength. The writers know this, which is why Ridge is basically the last to know and the least satisfying. Compare these scenes with the reveal scenes with James, Jack, Connor, Brooke and Stephanie, which all had various levels of energy and emotion. Further, compare the effortlessness of the RM/HT flirty *volunteer* scenes with how truly off RM/HT are here in both timing and blocking. HT is quite skilled and capable, but even she couldn't salvage these scenes.
Agree...us viewers have been on suspense for so very long for this revelation and more was expected to these scenes, it becomes tame and flat. Maybe Taylor has been gone too long... Ronn Moss usually does a good job but in these scenes, well "we" wanted and deserved more from this very long built up storyline
NoPepper, you hit the nail on the head with that remark about Ron Moss being limited when it comes to emotional acting. He doesn't have much conviction when it comes to scenes like this. Frankly, I feel that Ron Moss was hired because of his strikingly good looks and charm.
I agree about RM's acting limiting the impact of the scene. But I would add that highly emotional scenes are also not HT's forte - she is better in "therapist mode".
Why was ridge expecting Brook to answer the door when he knows she's upstairs with the kids and he's right there.
Lol I know

I know nothing about show business, but I can't help but wonder:: when this show's Actors are sitting around the reading table, rehearsing, did they give any push back after reading some of these scenes? 🤔Seriously. Some lines/scenes/situations are soooooo contrived, I have to believe SOMEBODY would've thrown their hands up, proclaiming, "Now COME ON, Dude! Really!! Really?"
I don’t think on soaps they do a table read. It’s so fast paced, I’ve heard they go in and shoot ever in one take
Just in here to say, I dislike the writing in this story as much as anyone and I have barely watched cause 95 sucked IMO.
But to be fair, HT had one foot out of the door from 94-96. It was hard to commit to a Taylor story because Hunter had made it known she didn't really plan to stay longterm. She had just been named People Most Beautiful. It wasn't like she booked Melrose in 95 out of the blue. She was auditioning and actively looking for other stuff, she had become the Pantene girl, she did an episode of another Spelling show before Melrose so everyone knew she was on Spelling's radar.
The show could have written all of this better for sure and there is no excuse for the dumb Eric/Taylor mess, but I do give them a smidge of a pass cause it was hard to know what was going to happen with her and it was very clear that they were hesitant to commit to anything with Taylor longterm
Hi Vivian, it's been a minute. Thanks for the info
yeah thats true
Fun fact, HT played two different characters on *two episodes* on *_Burke's law_* (1994-1995).
1) In S1E7 a soap opera actress got murdered and HT got to play on of the suspects, Penelope Jordan, another soap opera actress/ the vixen suspect that tries to seduce investigator Peter (aka actor Peter Barton (also knows as the former husband of Sheila, Dr. Scott Grainger)).
2) In S2E13 a psychiatrist got murdered. HT got to play again one of the suspects, Ingrid, a patient with multiple personality disorder - and at the end it is revealed that all patients planned the psychiatrist's murder because he wanted to hand their group over to a colleague.
I can see why Spelling thought that HT could play the vixen on MP. In both episodes she got to flirt and to sit on Peter while looking down on him, Peter lying on a bed/meadow. HT in the second episode even wearing a catwoman costume.
But even if they knew she wanted to leave the show, they treated Taylor's character like garbage for two seasons. There was no need to do that. Ten months away from the LA storylines acting out of character and once in LA they didn't pair her with someone else for another season. What a waste.
@@babs4848 they had her somewhat paired with Eric but fan backlash ended it before it even started. Then they brought Grant for her to have a similar storyline with Connor/brooke to have Ridge being jealous. but HT left the show and the romance was never picked up and had Brooke taking her place

Maybe this will teach Thorne a lesson. Something I've noticed with this new Thorne is he never listens when someone is trying to tell him something. Every time he and Macy had a disagreement he never let her explain. He often cuts her off or chooses to disregard whatever she says and believes whatever is going on in his head. That often led to them breaking up or being in unnecessary pain. With this whole Ivana thing, the cops told him to leave it alone and let them handle it. He didn't listen to them. Instead, he took matters into his own hands and now he's in jail with the chance of facing the death penalty.

What do you call what Taylor just did to those kids? Compassionate, kind? Can you even call it considerate (a simple phone call). Come on lol!!!! Try to make a little sense. Taylor is far far from a saint. So is Brooke and for that matter, just about everyone on this show. I have no problem with agreeing when Taylor does something compassionate. Stephanie can be quite cruel as well but I have no problem commending her when she does something good. And that goes for Brooke. I didn’t use the word evil, you did. But she is definitely at the very least, extremely insensitive and cruel to the children she “loves”.
Macy should have stayed with Thorne and Conner ??? She how she can help??!!!!
Exactly 💯 Trish!
Macy wants to comfort Anthony like she comforted Jake!
Instead of comforting Thorne when his lawyer arrived?!!! 🙄
Poor Bridget having a mother like Brooke. Lord Hammercy. You'd be better off being raised by a pack of wolves! 🐺🐺🐺
Brooke is an utterly disturbing and frightening parent🫣 !! It's like a horror movie 😅
In just 7 years, (more in soap time) Brooke will have a baby with Bridget's husband 😂😂😂!!
This is so not convincing acting, they are acting like she would left for one week not a year
LOOKS LIKE THORN NEEDS JUDGE JUDY
When Is The Bold & The Beautiful Season 11 Starts
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 "... I'm innocent." ( This time! ).
Thorne's script. 🤭.
Angel/Trinidad West Indies.

The Logan Women’s belief: The Men come First. Children come second.😂
We came so close to get rid of Taylor 😭
Moss had the Disney prince good looks but not the acting chops. Current Ridge is a far better actor. Just wish the current storylines were more interesting. Too much repetitive dialogue and drawn out plot lines. Seems like writers are calling it in.
Well it’s been on almost 40 years. Wonder if they end it in 2027? Cal it a day?
Thorne’s blow dried hair 😉
Yeah where’d he get the blow dryer?
Moss didn't act this part out very well
Ridge is married to Brooke now. But really that marriage is invalid because Taylor wasn't declared dead so really Ridge and Taylor's marriage is still valid unless Ridge wants to classed a bigamist. Taylor is still legally Ridge's wife not Brooke. And proof that Taylor is very much alive is proof enough. Ridge's first wife Taylor is alive which means that Ridge's marriage to Brooke is in fact invalid because legally Ridge is still married to Taylor and isn't legally divorced from Taylor so Ridge and Brooke's marriage is invalid unless he divorces Taylor and then marries Brooke properly the legal way.
Ridge was probably relieved to touch Taylor again. Touching Brooke probably feels like scales on a dragon 😂
😂🤣🤣
😂😅🤣❤
yes what a relief
Ridge touching his lips at the end, savoring the memory of being kissed by a beautiful woman instead of a grouper fish.
@memento-_mori yes a lovely thought
The scene were Ridge loves himself 🤮🤢
RIP Michael Clarke Duncan, brilliant actor gone too soon. The most talented actor in those jail scenes, Duncan represents ten decades and two soap operas of the Bells Not Knowing how to write for black characters.
Sigh.
Didn't you guys say they wrote them better on Y&R?
@@tiroyaonejustinphologolo9763they did write them better on YR I think. Altho they would usually start off Black characters as homeless, thieves, poor, etc... They generally made them wealthy after a while and a main part of the show, with stories centered around Black families.
YR was set in some small town in Wisconsin and yet had more diversity from early on. BB is set in LA, a big city supposedly more diverse, and they couldn't seem to find the ability to incorporate that diversity. Rather they had Blacks and POCs set in stereotypes for a long time (eg Maria the maid, all the Black homeless ppl, now Slash the convict picking on poor little pale Thorne).
I thought there was room for Ruth Ann and her family on the show since she became Steph's friend. Sadly the writers didn't see it that way.
@@tiroyaonejustinphologolo9763You guys? Wasn't aware I was in a group. They had more black people on Y&R and got better. But at one point they had four black characters, including Drucilia, introduced to us as illiterate. It was silly. Her sister was a doctor.
Now they have Nate, a former doctor, chief of staff at a hospital, playing whipping boy to former stripper turned executive Nikki Newman. Insane
@@blackblake3658 sorry, I'm meant you guys as in the people that watched Y&R. I apologize for how that came out
I think Y&R did a much better job of writing for the black characters than B&B. All the blacks were eventually became professionals (Olivia - doctor, Nate - private investigator, Neil- Newman executive, Drucilla - model, Malcolm- photographer) and they had front burner storylines. The AIDS storyline with Keesha/Malcolm/Olivia/Nate was one of my all-time favorite arcs on Y&R. I was always puzzled by the lack of diversity on B&B. How can a show set in LA in the fashion industry have no blacks, Hispanics, Asians or LGBT characters? And I mean as major characters. Not extras or bit parts. Not realistic at all.
Really don't care for Ridge l thought Little was Eric son do he even go see him.
Wouldn't it have been something brooke standing at the balcony watching these two reunite helpless...
That would have been amazin🍹
