Saint is here but a mere puppet, only to be used. They never knew why they did the things what they did, they never knew how they did the things they did, but what is for sure is they suffered for it. And once it was done their fate was simply left and forgotten.

@@gront5172 saint being a puppet makes sense since at the end of the game we lose control over saint and they seem to kill the void worm of their own volition (I was gonna do it anyway but that’s beside the point)
Anyways this either means the player is the puppet master and saint broke free to kill the void worm, or we are saint and the puppet master took complete control.
If SOS is the puppet master they knew the void worm existed and created saint to kill it, then fought saint to make saint prove they could complete the journey.

Must suuuck to be Saint. I like to imagine that Echoes are a piece of the person who ascended improperly, instead of the whole. Assuming that one person can have multiple echoes, it's quite possible that Saint - stuck in a cycle somewhat separate to the world, is VERY fractured.

The modeling and environments are absolutely incredible. The editing was also quite good and I loved the story for this. I would say that the animation did seem a little stiff at times, specifically in the run cycles where you can see saint's entire body and in the scenes of saint swimming through the void sea. It's actually kind of interesting how that compares with the close up shots of saint while they are running where you seem to do a really good job of selling a sense of breathless desperation.
Personally, I would solve the stiffness of the animations by focusing on secondary animations and squash+stretch. Secondary animations primarily in giving more articulation to saint's tail and making saint's fur tufts bounce and shift with their movement in space. For example in the swimming scene flattening to their body when they start a stroke and floating out after they complete that stroke. For running I would focus first on squash and stretch, squashing as one foot hits the ground reaching max squish just when they start to push off for the next step then moving into stretch as they push off on that leg reaching max stretch just as that foot leaves the ground, then leave a tiny amount of airtime before the next foot stretches slightly to hit the ground before squashing again. The secondary movements should follow the main movement of their body, the body hair shouldn't move too much but the tail should be reasonably articulated and have more up and down movement.
I hope this was at least somewhat helpful.

Plus his a weak hes can't use spear i tough it's because he's weaky guy, i always headcanon him as skinny small and quiet , kind, merciful creature (most of people portrait him as crazy god complex villian with super power) I love this video it's exactly what i imagine saint. This perfectly shows what it’s like for saints, while everyone is stuck in the cycle unlike most of the others he can’t ascend, atleast arti and hunter have something to do but he just gets put back where he was before

This is amazing! there’s a few scenes looking a little awkward due to the stiffness and placement of the tail. Think it should be further down personally. But the cinematography is stunning!
the tail is horrible to work with, i need to make a custom rig for it - which ill totally do with my next animation for more fluid tails!

The "trial and error" parts is just perfect, they capture well the feeling of needing to adapt to saint at first, and when you reach max karma, well you just can say its karma for every living being that did make you retry over and over again, its a perfect video ngl

I've watched this video before but i watched it again a few days ago and it wont get out of my mind, the song is now one of my all time favorites and now that my mental status has changed this (awesome) animation just resonates with me, Tysm tsoe for making this and putting the effort in as it turned out as a master piece.

Wow! The environments are really well structured, I myself know the struggle of trying to take game environments from rain world into 3d in a believable and easy to read way, but you just make it look easy! The color choice also great, all of the models are very high quality. One critique I have against this animation is that the animation is pretty low quality, and by "animation" I do not mean the video as a whole, I mean the actual keyframes and motion that you created look amateur at best. One thing you could try to do to spruce up the motion quality is having the WHOLE body react to the motion, it's a little jarring when he is swimming and ONLY the shoulder and hip joints are moving in a straight, side to side motion. Another practice, is generally for lower framerates, on some sections where the framerate is lowered stylistically, make sure that each frame is more planned out than you would for higher framerates. Lower framerate allows more creativity for stylization and composition to try to make it more readable, leaning into that or away from it will keep your viewing experience consistent. The other critique I also have is some excessive gore, this is mostly a preference thing on my part, but scenes on like 1:46, the amount of ejected flesh and blood with exposed bone does not really aid the shot in anyway, usually added macabre is to increase the meaningfulness of a scene, but everything else in the video suggests that this scene is to portray the living struggle that the rainworld cycle is, so emphasis one the gore of this scene doesn't make a lot of sense. It also makes me queezy QwQ

the secret is lots of procedural shortcuts, and careful framing and lighting to make things look bigger than they actually are - its all an illusion! Ill be able to make it less of an illusion though sometime soon as I'm learning some more procedural ways of creating significantly better backgrounds!

This is an incredibly well done animation. The choice of music is thematically perfect and structuring the video around it worked exactly as intended.
It's also incredible recontextualization. Rainworld could easily have been an existential horror game. As it is it has alot of those undertones. In which you capitalized on for this animation. Is this the canonical read of the events from their campaign? I'm not sure. But who cares. Very well done.
