- Today the Chinese scam car gets TESTED. To be honest, there isn't much to test - top speed and range isn't anything special. This is a golf cart. haha. but I wanted to get a baseline for performance upgrades we do and get you guys the official chinese scam car specs! True china quality at it's best.

Bro, they forgot to disconnect the "self-learn" wire on the controller that's why its running f*cki* slow, it serves as a speed limiter, try to disconnect it and see what happens :)

You need to source a Nissan Leaf Motor And Controller, Someone was able to mod the firmware to make it more feesable for swaps! 300+ hp mini EV would be insanity! 🤣🤣 Probably ride some wheelies or something.

hey have you thought about unplugging the speed limiter? Its normally just 2 little black wires attached to the controller. :)
legit did that on an Ebike it went 20 kaph faster...i pluged it back in tho legal s#it in Canada
You should talk to Rich with Rich Rebuilds. Get an electric motorcycle engine and battery pack like he's used for his rat rod and quad. Those things are serious. You could smoke the tires and really rip that thing to the point of probably needing to put a cage in it. Think u can get them on the fairly cheap salvage as well. Rich might even have some spare parts lying around.
You should take it off roading I feel it has great potential 😛

I have a 2008 Smart Fortwo body style 451 which is just slightly bigger than this electric car. It has 2 Bazookas driven by a 600 watt amp. It's Loud and Cranks. It's not a car, it's a stereo with wheels LOL.

With that speed and range for EV, its acceptable and still very useful in city driving. Its suitable for office worker but not for extreme long distance travel. If it happens to be able to travel extreme long distance travel, you have no guarantee that there will be a charging station on that place. Its for city driving. Still very useful.

You should install the old motorcycle hub motor that you have from the Chinese electric motorcycle and another hub motor in the back wheels of the car. If you are able to do that the scam car would probably go at a decent speed.

@@TheInja Actually, in most states in America, there is a low-speed Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) classification that your car would fit into. The exact laws vary from state to state, but typically an NEV is road legal on any road with a speed limit of 35 mph or less, and it just needs to have all the right reflectors/indicator lights, windshield wipers if it has a windshield, and seatbelts. I don;t know if yours has seatbelts, but they shouldn't be too hard to add. So that pink golf cart may actually be street legal as an NEV.

You know, that microcar would be perfect for elderly people to drive around a large retirement complex or as a golf cart. It would also be handy in small European villages where travel distances are typically just a couple of miles. They'd use it as a shopping buggy. Other than that on Aussie or US roads it would be a death trap.

The brown grass is supposed to be brown as its Carl Spacklers Featherbed bent. Its a blend of Kentucky Blue Grass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensimilla.

Put lithium batteries it will lighten the car and you can get more range and speed
Up the voltage to 96 volts and add a set of thin film solar cells to the roof.
Depends on the lithium battery, li-ion or lipo. One has a higher discharge rate and the other more efficient but low discharge. At least that's what it is with drones ect. I'm sure there's a lot more to cars etc.
Whatever Teslas are using seem to have a decent capacity and performance.
I like that it only has one sun visor and the indoor light being part of it except not part of the sun visor's mirror.

Had a Tricycle like that in the Philippines, just by looking at the electronic boxes, batteries and motor, the tricycle would haul 3 people and would keep up with standard Philippine traffic, of a top speed of 27 mph, but we only paid $250 for it. Only difference was you have 4 wheels and a vehicle that looks something like a car. I like the tricycle version better. That thing you bought looks like a Barby car. At least the tricycle looked like a thing a man can drive. Now out in the Philippines we had to buy the rain curtains $100 because it was open air and the top roof luggage rack (for shopping) but loved the heck out of it. Still miss it since we moved back to the states. Now if we would of bought the trike new it would of cost about $500, but still a good price to get around with, and it was cheap to charge compared to a gas one. Got to watch that stuff from China, they show nice pics, but I am surprised you got some of your cash back.

It may not be a sports car by any means in stock form but rather this will make for an excellent sleeper build. Swap the controller to something less restrictive, build a three speed transmission, swap the brakes to ceramic ones, put a roll cage together with stiffer rear springs and you are good to go for it!

I wonder if this is software restricted under some countries laws. Here in Germany, there is a kind of drivers licence limited to 25km/h for 15 years old. It's used for small mopeds, but you'll be able to throttle a small car like a fiat panda or something and are allowed drive it as well. up to 25km/h :)
Weld larger wheels onto existing rims to increase diameter thus increasing speed. Slower getting there but should work.

If the horse power is below a certain amount and the max speed is less than a certin amount do you have to register it? its like a 4 wheel bicycle
Cheap but most effective upgrades would be lead acid deep cell batteries with a kelly 1000 amp controller and a dc fork lift motor or dual Manta motors. Should give you 0 to 60 in 3 seconds.

I remember when you first put this out, I watched part of one video in your series and thinking, "I have to come back to this."
Well, it was during the height of the pandemic and of course I, along with millions of others were wrapped up in "politics." But, after a year and a half, I FINALLY got back to @The Inja, and I must say I am extremely impressed!
As a Chinese American, I'm also disappointed that at least one Chinese business in China turned out to be a scammer. But the Japanese American (multi-ethnic Asian in the USA for the win) in me says, why TF would you not buy a car from the country who has built some of the best vehicles on the planet?

This thing doesn't go faster as the wrong wheel size is programmed. It tops out at indicated 45km/h as this is the speed limit in Europe or China for a mopped license and this car falls under that regulation. Max 4kw engine , max 50cc if it's petrol powered and Max 45km/h. So different wheel size programmed will help.
With both the bike and car how is the registration going on both.....? im having problems here in Wisconsin DMV saying they cant register it because it was from china and dont have a federal certification lable....

well since you have the car, or Golf cart You won't be able to register it with the DMV, since it lacks seat belts and I think a rear view mirror. plus the motor and the lead acid batteries (the car wouldn't be able to hit 30 or even 40 mph with just two batteries and a single electric motor).
Am I correct? If you change the Speedometer to mph instead of kmh on this car, if possible, it would read approximately the right speed at least in kmh? 🤔
