@@SamuelObafemi That seriously means a lot!! Thank you so so much..
True 💯
Man, I always look forward to your tutorials because they are jammed packed! This is really good stuff.
I appreciate that!
Great explanation of using the Camera Tracker. One thing I would note is that since these are nodes, you can very simply route a plane to separate transform nodes to have duplicates. And you can take the output of a stack of mask/polygon nodes and route it to a separate node that inverts the resulting alpha, so you can get an inverted cutout for another layer. That way, if you need to update the polygon, you can do so and both the normal and inverted updates automagically.
Using tricks like those, you can get much much less complicated looking node trees and you set yourself up for much simpler finetuning process down the pipeline.
btw great channel man ive been binging your vids while improving my skills ! thanks for that
That’s very cool! And probably the best explanations of using the camera tracker I’ve seen, great job! Thx.

Thanks for a great video
Thank you so much Simon!! 😀
Oh man! That's blow my mind!
If anyone was wondering how to get rid of those grids before you render it, as they will show
Go to fusion and disconnect the ground plane
I did not know, that we can do something like that. AMAZING!
Mr. Fenn, damn good stuff! Thanks for posting.
THank you!! This is one of my favorite tutorials so I appreciate the comment!

Awesome Effect....
Thank you! Cheers!
OoH! that create such a surreal effect, this will come in handy.
Great tutorial, now my brain is gonna work overtime ha ha ha..
So may places this can be used as a effect to create extra depth,
from subtle hardly noticeable to a full out surrealism and mind bending effect.
Very COOL! Thank you.
CHEERS! Keep up the awesomeness.
Glad it was helpful Mich! This was probably my favorite video I've made yet. Cheers mate!
@@JamieFenn Sure was, it does open up a world of possible uses. Bet combined in right way one can make a true vertigo feeling a thing, watching a video ha ha ha...

👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, found you on Reddit. Definitely subscribed!
Welcome aboard! Would love to know what you think about my other vidoes!! Cheers :D
Idk if you still read comments on this video but do you know if just having a photo editing app like affinity to separate the layers in the wolf pic would be easier than doing the polygon node ?
My man's carrying the entire weight of the community on his shoulders
R8. But still no beginner frndly course out there
Your pretty creative. Well done.
Thank you! 😊 Cheers David.
thank you so much
Welcome 😊
its only for studio
Thank you
@@nikowerner8779 thanks
I am going to try it out:)
Do itttt!!!!
a great like, interesting video!
Thank you! Cheers!
wow i wasted my time on fcpx, premiere, vegas even pinnacle😅 thanks dis is awesome! so fusion is inside resolve? thanks!
,,rooouuuunds out ouuur moooon, and looks nice and smoooth'' Jamie in his element
hahahahahaha
Hello Jamie, here @criteriografico greeting you! Thanks for the mention! regards!
You're welcome man! Cheers for the inspiration!
bro great video
Appreciate it!!
блин это жесть как круто!
You are awesome..
You are!
Wondering if this works for videos too and not just images? It's not working for me when I drag the media node in and add the image plane > merge3D
That video rocked! It was a bit fast part way through but I can slow it down or replay it 👍 special effects and 3D rocks!! Nice work dude
Edit: We need full version studio for this?
Yes you do. You'll need to be able to use the camera tracker!
What if the image doesn't move. Can I still do it then without the camera tracker?
Club Brick sure but then that’s a totally different effect. If the shot is stationary you won’t see how the composite is 3D like this tutorial
Very true, a side Angle may show the seperation in 3D but I understand what you are saying
@@ClubBrick if the camera doesn't move you wont have the effect of moving through space.. but you could use the free versions 2D trackers for cool stuff. baby steps. learn node based compositing in fusion first and go easy. its a bit of a learning curve, especially if coming from layered approach like AE
Very cool video this time too!!!
I'm looking forward to uploading your davinci video in japan!!!!!
What do you mean uploading it in Japan?
Jamie Fenn oh,sorry. I'm bad at English.
Maybe "uploading video" is "post videos on youtube" .
Thank you, Just checked you PC "Davinci Resolve Powerhouse Computer" are running those Two graphics card in the same machine same time ?
Yes.
My guy is a beast with resolve! Lol do you have any tuts for anything similar to the Adobe AE Photomotion plug-in?
haha thanks man!!! not yet :) I'll see what I can do!
Is camera tracker available in the free version of the davinci resolve?
Great video. It would be nice if you explained more of why you were doing some of the actions within DR.
I try to do my best without making videos 30 min long...
I understand, thanks for the reply
Awesome tutorial! Wait for my tag Jamie! :D
Stoked can’t wait!
dude you are seriously bad ass.
Thanks Ryan 💪🏽
Thats on the HNL!! HO NUVA LEVEL!!
Haha yessir!!!!
I know this is an older video but tought I would ccomment.
For creating the seprate layers of the image, I preffer doing that in a raster editor like Affinity Photo or Photoshop and export as PNG with Alpha to avoid un-necessary masking. Also it allows me to fill in the back parts of an image for paralaxing.
I really wish Affinity Photo would add the new AI Generative fill that Adobe added to photoshop recently for solid inpainting. Now I have to export out to Stable Difussion instead. :/
thanks
You're welcome!
Hey man I would like to know what kind of powerfull PC or Mac do you use what can handle this? Because I'm a bit surprised that my mac M1 pro is laging a lot, when I want to see result. If I want to see result I need to render it first. Am I doing anything wrong?
BTW: the best tutorial in fusion - for beginer like me. Thanks man!
ruclips.net/video/fL61wdhMHe4/видео.html
Awesome vid as usual! Is it possible though to do this using the free version? I tried following these steps but free version of Davinci doesn't have the camera tracker.
Buy the studio version if you need the camera tracker
when i try to track it crashes when ist going backward in tracking ... my pc is loww gama but after effects even if it takes to hours it never crashes ,,, when working in heavy projeects
Please do a tutorial on that IG animation that you use at the start of your video's!
please how i make your perfect intro and Moving
" x x x " or What is the name of that movement?
not sure what you mean!?
What can i use instead of camera tracker because I'm using free version of da vinci reslove
You have to use the camera tracker..
kind question: did you get the indepth knowledge from a course/tutorial to follow or just experimenting and trial and error and see what happens?
Honestly I just read the Manuel
Hey I have a question, how long does it takes to render the solve if I have less than 2000 tracking points
I have no idea since I’m not sitting in front of your computer. Only you can know that.
MY biggest questions is what's on the audio file you always seem to have open in Ableton ha. I just moved back to After Effects after getting bummed out by Fusions Tabs weird rendering issues.
Im recording my voice for the video through ableton :D
buddy this kind of 3d animation is for free or in studio version?
Do I have to buy da vinci resolve studio to use camera tracker ?
Yes
0:00 how you make this instagram appear on left how you add this efect??
Hey Jamie, i cant add the camera tracker, any alternatives?
Buy DR!
Hey Jamie, could you not just use magic mask or a keyer for the initial wolf picture? instead of using the polygon pen?
Sure. Either way works. Magic mask wasn’t in existence when I made this tutorial
@@JamieFenn oh wow i see haha, thanks. learning the sequence of fusion nodes is tricky haha.
hey bro i find your tutorials very good but i am not able to understand things i am not able to clear my fundamentals like why he choose that and how to know what all nodes can do. i have watched so many tutorials. it would be a great help if you can tell something .
Some of these are just more advanced. I can’t break down every tool I use. Sorry!
