The mixed starters kinda make sense with Rowlet becoming an archer and Oshawott becoming a samurai! Not quite sure about Cyndaquil, but I can kinda see how he fits the aesthetic.

Pokemon Legends Arceus is definitely a Switch Pro Candidate.
Looks like they’re gonna need more powerful hardware anyway, if they can’t keep the framerates up.

@@willuigi64 SwSh final build was just as unoptimised as the trailer demo. And so was US/UM, S/M, OR/AS, and X/Y. I hope to the gods I can be proven wrong with this title, but ever since Pokémon transitioned into 3D, Game Freak hasn’t optimised for shit. At this point, more powerful hardware is probably the only way to improve performance, especially with this new fully open world environment.

I would say Delphox would fit better as a mage, but barely anyone likes him so I guess that was kind of a bullet dodged. I like how Typlosion is getting some love, even tho his choosing is weird. I just hope they make his model better.
Djdragondrawer I think Chimchar or Tepig would have made more sense for those times, but I Guess they wanted one rep for each gen and none of them be from Sinnoh itself since he’s meant to be a traveling professor.
I was surprised they chose Samurott tho’ considering Greninja’s popularity which is what I was expecting.
Typhlosion is based off a badger and fits in with the aesthetic of the setting.
I'm actually one of the few people who is actually good and happy with the "chibi/2D" designs for DP remakes, it kept the essence of original games, it looks good but hope they still can look way better. And well, Pokémon Legends just look amazing. You can tell Pokémon Legends was the priority by its graphics, it looks way more polished than Sword/Shield and i'm pretty sure, DP remakes and Legends have been in development along Sword/Shield, but they are taking their time for these. Sword/Shield was the practice run for Pokémon Legends which is a practice run Gen 9. Hope Legends replace Let's Go as the other main series, i mean, it'd be amazing to see more games talking about the lore of the regions and mythical/legendary pkmn, know more about their story
Same, I'm cool with the design. I'm just more concerned with how well it plays.
Because there are no other trainers besides you, it seems like the story will revolve around battling the Pokemon themselves, without a trainer, and the story could progress via ancient ruins or scrolls.

@@dimenitalarcher250 there probably is, but not nearly as many as in main series games. I also consider this a good thing because it would allow the story to progress via exploration and not by little Timmy telling you how to get to the next gym

Everyone is complaining about the chibi sprites but you all have been playing with small chibi sprites for over 20 years now
they could still do a chibi style with high quality textures and high resolution tho. this just looks like a gamecube game compared to links awakening
@@boochieboofer I love GameCube games, Super Mario Sunshine looks great on the switch.
But being serious, they can't copy Zelda like that. I wouldn't mind the shading effects they did in Link's Awakening, but it is probably a licensing issue with Nintendo letting Game Freak use their game engines. The shading doesn't look great and the framerate is rough, but its still a work in progress.

I think it’s the least popular water starter. I’m hugely biased towards water starters, but even I prefer snivy. Though, gen 5 had lack lustre starters in general.
@@SackVegasAnime yeah, when I was little I picked him because he was cute. And therefore I kinda bonded with it and tepig since I used tepig in my play through of white (that I didn’t finish). My enjoyment of snivy happened when I did a black version Nuzlocke.
@@willuigi64 Oshawotts whole line was unpopular. My favourite water starter line is swampert, but you would have to be insane to think that the Greninja line isn’t the most popular of all time. Hell, they made a separate form for it because it was so damn popular and was also a useable character in smash. Also, while poplio isn’t that popular alone, it’s finally evolution was decently popular. It is also use quite a bit in competitive, singles more than doubles.
@@willuigi64 Froakie in more of the pokemon popularity polls beat oshawott, popplio didn’t. Greninja was number one since it came out. For a play through most people think of the final evolution, so I brought them up.

@@diosesamor141 I appreciate what they did with the fresh yet conservative approach with the DPPt remakes. At this point, it’s better for Game Freak/ILCA to get fans to simply tolerate or only somewhat like the games instead of betting on making them “amazing” and failing badly again, especially with the amount of hype surrounding these titles. They essentially kept what was working and did some quality-of-life updates to the graphics.
In return for this less daring approach, Game Freak made sure to offer a revolutionary new Pokémon title alongside these remakes. I personally strongly believe that the next generation flagship Pokémon games will, from here on, feature open-world, story and lore-heavy gameplay from different time periods and perspectives, whilst relegating the “classic” formula to future remakes, when the time for them comes.
The Pokémon legends series means we might explore the original dragon and the story of the two heroes from gen 5 👀 the original relic castle, dragon spiral tower, having to choose between truth and ideal hypeeeeeeeee

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was disappointed about the artstyle of the remakes. Like yeah I'm sure it'll still be good, but damn I really didn't like the chibi artstyle of Let's Go and this is even moreso. Hopefully there's a lot added, but if not I'm not sure I'll get it....Now Legends. Good lord. Looks absolutely incredible. It's in the past so more lore, it's OPEN-WORLD, the graphics look really good (even though it's probably still in development), and Arceus finally gets his chance to shine. I can't wait to learn more. I'm also interested to see how big the PokeDex will be? Probably just SInnoh Mons since you're making the first ever Dex of the region. I also noticed the battle animations look better somewhat. Like they clearly reused the models but it looks like the Pokemon are actually using the moves. Lucario goes in close and close combats that Staraptor as opposed to just moving in and using a generic animation while he stands in place. All in all, I'm hyped.

I personally love the look they gave the DP remakes! it looks like the old 2D sprites, but turned into 3D! It looks cute yet beautiful, like Link's Awakening remake! BUT Pokemon Legends though....THAT is my childhood dream come true! They said "a new direction for pokemon" which I hope means more games like it!

I'm not entirely sure but if you look at the two other books when the one about Sinnoh and Arceus opens, the one under it is kind of purple like and the one even under this is green. The third one is definitively Zygarde and Gen 6, but the second could go two ways : It can be about the original dragon like a lot of people says, but it can also go to an old pokemon of Gen 5 that we have never gotten to know that much, which is Genesect. Think about it, his name is Genesis mixed with Insect, it is said that he existed for 3000 years, just like AZ. Maybe he can be a key to this story, and that'll give him some spotlight !

I have a theory that the starters are getting region forms in Legends. I find it kinda interesting how their evolutions weren't shown at all or talked about. We finally get a Water/Fighting type Samurott, maybe because of the harsher region? I dunno, I'm just keeping my hopes up because I want to see him finally use his damn swords. I don't like the Rowlett line at all and I want to see Typlosion get more interesting. I have hope.
On a final note, I don't really care too much for the remasters. The chibi art style is aight, but I'm so tired of seeing the same models again and again. Might be a skip. Fingers crossed for Legends when it doesn't look as crusty.

From what I saw, they actually updated and changed the battle animations, so I honestly don't know where this sentiment is coming from.

They cannot give you over 1000 new models because they are focused on making a new game within a small time frame.

I think the DP remakes will be like the gen 5 games. They get hated at first but then they are going to be loved. Not to forget that this is the FIRST trailer. We are getting many more updates

@@shuheihisagi6689 Yes but the 2d chibi translates very poorly 1:1 the way they did it here. Gen 6 chibi had problems but it was better imo. Obviously this is subjective but I just think the character models and pokemon models look weird and off-putting. The coloring and especially shading lines are bad. Just because I like Gen 4 doesn't mean I want them to literally translate it to 3d. The art style is just bad to me.

The Arceus game starters have a samurai, an Archer and a fire mouse. Cyndaquill really doesn't fit. He was probably a compromise pick.
The two that make sense thematically are Chimchar and Tepig, since their fully evolved forms are kinda kung-fu-y, but it looks like you're going to be encountering wild Chimchars so he wouldnt be a starter. Two Gen 5 starters and one Gen 7 would be weird so that cuts out Tepig.
Weird choice, but good to see Gen 2 get some recognition. I like that their mixing Gens with the starter choices.

Why would you go to the distortion world to find palkia/dialga?
They have to do a Giratina thing like they did for Rayquaza in ORAS, distortion world and Cyrus is one of the best things to come from gen 4
What is wrong with the chibi style for the gen 4 remakes, I didn’t play the original diamond/pearl/platinum but it still like this artwork for the game, I see nothing wrong at all.
But then again, this is the Pokémon community, they want something and then hate on it, why can’t every one just like what they get. This is what you asked, this is what you will get. Be happy with it, this is better than nothing at all
Bruh... do the DP remakes not look like ass to anybody else? The overworld looks like if someone crossed ORAS and Let's Go's overworlds and then turned it into a mobile game. The chibi sprites look weird as hell in 3D, and the lighting is shit. As bad as DP were, if they added some of the changes from Platinum they could theoretically be enjoyable games, but based on what Gamefreak did with ORAS I'm somehow doubtful that they will
If you watch closely to the trailer there’s the flower girl that lets you gain access to the Shaymin quest and Porygon Z, those are platinum exclusive content and I am 100% sure we will have platinum content in here.
Sinnoh remakes look like a mobile game. Legends looks sick though.

Couldn't care less about Legends: Arceus an Open World is not something I have wanted for Pokemon I have no idea what Breath of the Wild is no idea why there is so much hype for Legends: Arceus I am more interested in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl that is what is more important.
The Diamond and Pearl remakes look like 3ds games, I hole Ilca fixed the sprites and the graphics of the game. Also why couldn’t they just use the same sprites from Lets Go or the sprites from oras? Those look a lot better compared to these new ones, the new ones look like some Japanese mobile Pokémon knock off game

Tbh i prefer the original over the sinnoh remakes if it looks like this. Sprite based has its charm. But 3D chibi models simply looks like low budget/effort.
Bro they don't need to delay anything!!!! We've been waiting for this style of game via Pokemon Legends Arcues for forever now... All they have to do is drop what they have and listen to what the consumers complain about (cause y'all complain about every game, like it's supposed to be perfect spoiled bitches) lmao anyway and then drop dlc/patches we've waited long enough like I said!!!.. Also u want them to hurry up and finish this game so that they can start developing a NEW game with this style of play for a new era... Because those games were on limited hardware so it was justifiable. We’re on a fucking HOME CONSOLE now dude, there’s no excuse for this bs. The fact that we’re expected to pay $60 for a mobile game is appalling. ORAS came out in 2014 and it looked lightyears better!
@@keffertv304 Even if they weren’t the ones developing it, Game Freak definitely put the remakes on the sidelines, in favour of the Legends game, which is most likely going to be the new gameplay formula for future flagship Pokémon games.
It’s sorta disappointing that they had to resort to simply re-hashing the old DPPt games, but it could’ve been a lot worse if they tried to bite off more than they could chew again and end up with a complete disaster. At least, with this set-up, the remakes are guaranteed to be at least as good as the originals. Although, Game Freak could’ve always delayed the production of the remakes to favour a higher quality product, although I strongly doubt that this would be in the best interests of the company tho, especially with the 25th anniversary celebrations and all.

Legends is how the remakes should actually look. ORAS came out in 2014 on the fucking 3DS with limited hardware and it looks lightyears better than the DP remakes. I’m done with new Pokemon games.

Pokemon remake was probably in production around the time Sword and shield was or at least in the middle of it. Just like sword/shield.... the game was confirmed suppose to be for the 3ds but saw the demand for a switch Pokemon game so they had to switch gears... We all saw how bad sword and shield was compared to other switch games so i'm assuming the remakes will fall into the same issues. Dumbed down cuz the director thinks we are 5 year olds... trying to chase after the success of pokemon go.... cutting corners cuz either way they make tons of money, and the switch from a game made for the 3ds half assed into the switch port.... Best thing to do is to avoid the remakes and wait for the big game coming out an early 2022. Save your 60 bucks plus potential dlc costs....
