Thank you, Mr. Myrick Willard 🙏🏻, for giving me this free awesome early 90s Basketball box! I hope you guys enjoy the video! 🏆🏆More Videos here: ruclips.net/channel/UCwHx8bgwyWhX04B-i82QmHwvideos
Very generous Mr. Willard. Made for a great video. Was not only fun watching Matt open the packs bit when it came time to separate the cards there was suspense. LOL!! Thanks again Mat for the entertainment.
Hello all👋 new here but wanted to say thanks to PSA Collector for restoring my interest in the Vintage foil cards that I grew up collecting. At some point I forgot the cards werent just about autographs and relics and serial numbers. The days of rare foil inserts were honestly more fun! Keep up the good work Matt and Im rooting for you!
Wow!!! Flashback break! My brothers and I were huge Fleer Ultra rippers, as kids. The Inside/Outsides were awesome then and still today. I may have to build a Power in the Key set for the PC. Thanks for the video. Shout out to you, Myrick Willard!
You have any videos or tips on how to separate bricked cards from foil packs? Would be a good tutorial if you are able to find a way to separate those cleanly. If I were to take a stab at it, my first method of separation would be to use heat. A blow dryer, then slowly pry away from the other cards.
Hey Matt, re: your quest to find a way to separate the cards that were stuck together - I haven’t tried this yet, but what about lightly greasing a piece of wax paper and using a pocket knife to start the desperation and then sliding the wax paper between the cards. Then using a wipe to remove smudges. Try with some commons!
Good point you made on the Jordan Nickname card, being it's special to pull the card yourself. That's what it was all about as a kid man. The feeling when buying a pack for $4 and then you pulled a decent insert as a kid was amazing. I could still tell what brand of card it was from the smell of them. Takes me back. Great Video man.
I pulled a Power in the Key Alonzo Mourning around 28 years ago, its still in gem-mint condition because the cards didn't used to get stuck to each other like that back then. I think its time to send in to PSA grading and cash out on it.
Why tf is 93-94 such an in demand card? The prices from the time the video was made to this year is crazy. Almost a grand for a box on eBay. Fleer Ultra’s have been the best design in my opinion. Great video. Shout out to the fan who sent the box. 🤘🏻
I remember opening boxes of Ultra in 93. Inside outside was easier to get, but famous nicknames is tougher. At that time you could buy MJ for $4 (inside outside) and $20(famous nicknames).
Opened a box of these as a kid and still have the Hakeem Power in key I pulled. Couldn’t agree more w what you said about pulling cards and submitting and not getting the best grade but still being fond of them. Have a bunch of PC like that myself.
Holy i had all those cards…all i collected were fleer ultra….those boxes were $95 when i was growing up, got a box for my 11th bday…had the shaq, famous nicknames…full set…kept them for like 20 years….
3:14 When you open the box if you look at the inside of the lid you can see it had liquid damage at some point, do you think the moisture is what caused them to stick?
I broke a box of 1993-94 Fleer Ultra series 2 several years ago and got the MJ Power In The Key in the 18th pack and it was in great shape very little foil damage, maybe a bit off centered though. I also got Karl Malone Power In The Key in the first pack, it had lots of foil damage.
Glad they weren't completely bricked. The glossy finish is natorious for sticking together. I've heard putting the box in the freezer can help with sticking. How cool is it that the community is willing to give up such a great box. Great viddy mate!👍
Loosely bendy them back and forth from top to bottom and side to side. You will hear cracking. It definitely helps and often loosens them enough that they come loose without peeling.
Another great vid..seeing those cards stuck together gave me the idea to open my seven unopened 90s boxes and put them into the nine page card holders..I've baseball , football and basketball.. Thank you.
Fleer Ultra must of done Gold Medallion the next year for basketball? I loved the Shaq and Jordan inserts and all the others. What love about these older sets is you got more packs for your money.
Back in the day I watched a card dealer use a blow dryer on low and hold the cards a good ways away from it and quickly go over the stuck cards back and forth. It seemed to work a bit. Who knows
I had so many cards do like yours ..sticking together..that's thanks to Treat co. So many packaged to quickly ! Don't think you could have done any better opening. They used something that just seemed to stick them together. Had a box like those and being new to having cards ..I opened them to and put straight into folders..wow I would have been glad to sell by box. Take care..hope you and family stay well.
The major insert he forgot to mention is the karl malone subset of 10, with random ones being hand autographed just like the 1992-93 fleer ultra scottie pippin 10 card subset with potential random hand signed scottie pippen autos & also just like the 1992-93 fleer with the dominique wilkens 8 card subset with random hand signed cards as well the early fleer stuff is actually very very good & im surprised it is not worth more with the autos still floating around
Brandon Tankersley I met him at a store in nyc. Nicest guy. Signed cards for me. I brought a bunch with me. He says you have all of those. I said sign them for the store employees and security guards. He says. No way then signs 5 cards for me. Cool 😊
PSA COLLECTOR thanks for that. So I went through some and found 1 inside outside Jordan. A few base Jordan’s. But I’m almost 100% sure there’s a nickname card in one of the boxes. All in cases too
Not sure if there's a "proper" way to separate old, freshly pack-pulled cards, but the way that I do it (and I'd say that my success-rate as a whole, is very good!) is...find the BEST area where there is natural separation between the two cards. Then,...without forcing the cards to seperate any further,...lightly & slowly breathe in the area where they're stuck, and CAREFULLY seperate while doing so. 9 times out of 10, the cards will "magically" seperate with little-to-no damage!
Nice video. I literally just opened up a Jordan inside out, shaq all rookie series, and 2 Jordan fleet sharp shooters that I put into glass cases back when these cards came out and I just took them out of the glass cases today because the cases have been all scratched up over the years and I have some possible nines even possible 10s
Any truth to that whole sticking bricked cards in the freezer and it helping them loosen? Maybe would've helped here. I've been eyeing these 90s ultra cards and recently tried ripping football but had the same problem which has me hesitant to spend so much for a box.
I have a 92-93 fleer drakes edition set includes -shaq rookie- Jordan # 7-Scottie pipin -Carl Malone .barkley they are uncirculated in mint condition are they worth anything
One method of separating cards stuck together like that w/o causing any damage is placing them in the freezer for a few hours. Afterwards they'll come apart no problem.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR It really does work and makes the cards much less prone to damage when separating them. EDIT: FYI - I googled it again and maybe YMMV on this. Some say it does work, other's have said it doesn't. Maybe try it out on a pack of 94' Score Baseball or Stadium Club or something else of low value.
You know what helps with the cards sticking together? Put the packs in the freezer for 5 minutes before you open them. I bought a box of sky box a few months ago and had to throw the whole box in the trash but made the guy give me my money back
To help prevent the cards from sticking together like that put the packs in the freezer for one hour and then let them sit at room temperature for one hour. They will not stick as much or at all after that :-)
I've heard if you put those kind of cards on the freezer for 1 hr, it helps with them not sticking or put them in the sunlight for a while to break them up. Try that next time. Love the videos !
I want to open 93-94 stadium club. Back then I pulled a first day issue chris webber rookie and traded it for a whole box of pinnacle hockey and some more basketball packs
Such an awesome gift!!!! Wow so hard to pull this apart, I’m gonna go look at the ones I have to see how they look , great video felt like I was opening with ya bud
That's awesome.I've an unopened box of 93/94 fleer ultra series 11 and a box of 94 /96 fleer series 1...love your vids I'm learning a lot..appreciate what you're doing bro.
Thanks for posting this video, for me it helps with insert odds and to see and hear if the cards are bricked somewhat, considering surface and edges are a factor in grading would you say most of what you opened would have a difficult time getting 10's?
These were going for $30-50 all day pre-COVID. I was at a card show where a guy had a stack of 5 for $30 each and wanted to sell them all for $100. Crazy times for the hobby.
What box under $200 would you consider purchasing and ripping now? I want to have a chance of pulling valuable historic cards, but don’t want to have to spend too much. I’ll do nah time period. Thanks in advance!
The same way that you clean your cards, is the same way we used to seperate those cards when they were stuck together. I've bought many boxes of these coated products.. it happens. So ya, idk....give it a shot
Thank you, Mr. Myrick Willard 🙏🏻, for giving me this free awesome early 90s Basketball box! I hope you guys enjoy the video! 🏆🏆More Videos here: ruclips.net/channel/UCwHx8bgwyWhX04B-i82QmHwvideos
10:22 Ironic the Isiah Thomas is stuck to the Jordan...
hahahahha
Thought the same😅😅
I edited out what I had said about them being best friends and always sticking together!
Yeah. I thought the same and so funny the way you threw the Thomas card away and keep the Jordan one safe 🤣
Same though 😅
I love these 93 94 Fleer Ultra cards.
Oh the irony how that Jordan card was stuck to Zeke lol
Crazy how everyone is picking up on that 🤣
PSA COLLECTOR yeah it must be from the documentary
it's like im cracking packs at 10 all over again. Love it!
Very generous Mr. Willard. Made for a great video. Was not only fun watching Matt open the packs bit when it came time to separate the cards there was suspense. LOL!! Thanks again Mat for the entertainment.
Well said! The suspense! Makes for great entertainment lol. Thanks for the feedback, Joseph, Im glad you enjoyed the vid 👍🏻
I reminisce as you open these cards. This brings back fond childhood memories.
thats amazing that guy was so generous! world needs more people like that!
That's awesome man. What a nice gift. So kind of that guy.
Very cool gift 💥
Christmas in May!

At some point I forgot the cards werent just about autographs and relics and serial numbers. The days of rare foil inserts were honestly more fun! Keep up the good work Matt and Im rooting for you!
Loved opening these as a kid. It’s about the nicest box I could afford back then
That Isiah Thomas sticking to the Jordan card is priceless! Love these videos, they are entertaining and informative!
Definitely some irony there lol. Thanks for the feedback, Brandon and thanks for watching 👍🏻
good move salute to the homie who did that
Wow!!! Flashback break! My brothers and I were huge Fleer Ultra rippers, as kids. The Inside/Outsides were awesome then and still today. I may have to build a Power in the Key set for the PC. Thanks for the video. Shout out to you, Myrick Willard!

Wow, that is some serious fan mail! Glad your hard work is being appreciate matt!
Thanks, Ryan!

That was cool of Mr. Willard! Great video, that was fun 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Larry Johnson lives here in Las Vegas. I saw him in November!
Good point you made on the Jordan Nickname card, being it's special to pull the card yourself. That's what it was all about as a kid man. What an incredible subscriber!!!!!....faith in humanity restored! Goat move!
Unreal break and fans. Super kind and incredible!
are the subset inserts only in Series 2?
Super cool of Rick.
I had the same problem with the Ultra cards. I’m not sure you can get non-bricked 90s Ultra packs after all these years, unfortunately. :(
Still a very fun rip though. 🏆
I wonder if you got them with a hair dryer on the low setting for a minute if it would help with the sticking.
I remember 92-93 fleer ultra had hot packs full of inserts
I remember opening boxes of Ultra in 93. Inside outside was easier to get, but famous nicknames is tougher. At that time you could buy MJ for $4 (inside outside) and $20(famous nicknames).

Thank You Myrick! Havent seen these in awhile. Cannot believe these are 250 a box.
Did you do a video on the 1993 Fleer Ultra box with the orange packs, with the Scoring Kings
man bringing up memories opening all these old packs. I had no idea all the gems I have from these.
Holy i had all those cards…all i collected were fleer ultra….those boxes were $95 when i was growing up, got a box for my 11th bday…had the shaq, famous nicknames…full set…kept them for like 20 years….

Sou fun! You should do a vid of psa grades from all your breaks.
2008-2009 Topps Chrome.. beautiful cards. thoughts?
Absolute GOLD that Jordan was stuck to Thomas !!!
Wow!! 2 power in the keys in a box?!
I thought you get only one per box.
Gratz man~ I wish somebody gimme the box as gift. :)
Glad they weren't completely bricked. The glossy finish is natorious for sticking together. I've heard putting the box in the freezer can help with sticking. How cool is it that the community is willing to give up such a great box. Great viddy mate!👍
Next time I will definitely put it in the freezer. A lot of comments on here about doing that. I can't believe I've never heard of that trick!
Loosely bendy them back and forth from top to bottom and side to side. You will hear cracking. It definitely helps and often loosens them enough that they come loose without peeling.

Great break! Love 90s ultra stuff
Just pulled out the 100s of 93-94 fleer bball i had from childhood yesterday.. same peeling. Must be a ink type
I remember buying the Jordan nickname card almost 20 years ago for 25 bucks. Cool video. Thanks.
Fleer Ultra must of done Gold Medallion the next year for basketball? I loved the Shaq and Jordan inserts and all the others. What love about these older sets is you got more packs for your money.
Do the base cards for series 1 and 2 go together to complete the set or is each series separate from the other?
So really cool graphics on those cards
What a gift!!! So sick!!!
I really enjoyed watching this video of yours. Nice Jordan and Shaq pulls as well
Nice ultra box. Big thumbs up!
Back in the day I watched a card dealer use a blow dryer on low and hold the cards a good ways away from it and quickly go over the stuck cards back and forth. It seemed to work a bit. Who knows
I think just a simple set the packs in the sun for 10-15 min should make the separation less difficult.
10:15 Michael Jordan stuck to his arch rival Isaiah Thomas!!! Also, it's a USA basketball card (MJ rumored to have kept Isaiah off Dream Team 1).
I had so many cards do like yours ..sticking together..that's thanks to Treat co. So many packaged to quickly ! Don't think you could have done any better opening. Awesome cards I just picked up 2 92 93 fleer ultra and 2 92 93 stadium club series 1 at auction yesterday...cool video
You gotta be kidding me, that Famous Nicknames Jordan stuck to the Isaiah Thomas 🤦♂️ what timing with this opening. Loving your stuff man 👍
🤣 They're best friends!
I loved watching you stress pulling the cards apart... my heart rate went up too just watching
I have the Jordan Inside outside card but it probably would be graded a 6 or 7. Should I still get it graded?
Great Video as always thank you
I'll take one of those Larry Johnson cards, he's who I collected as a kid!
Brandon Tankersley
I met him at a store in nyc. Nicest guy. Signed cards for me. I brought a bunch with me. He says you have all of those. I said sign them for the store employees and security guards. He says. No way then signs 5 cards for me. Cool 😊
So long story short!! When my dad passed away my mom gave me his card collection he has a ton of these cards. I’m going to go through them tonight
Have fun! I have tons of videos on my channel to let you know what to look for. 👍🏻 I'm sorry to hear about your father.
PSA COLLECTOR thanks for that. So I went through some and found 1 inside outside Jordan. A few base Jordan’s. But I’m almost 100% sure there’s a nickname card in one of the boxes. All in cases too
90s the Golden Era of Basketball cards

that's awesome that somebody would just randomly give you a box like that I wish that would happen to me because I would feel like Christmas 😊😂
For sure, man. It felt like an early brithday gift! Like I was a kid! Awesome gift from a stranger 👍🏻
Nice video. I literally just opened up a Jordan inside out, shaq all rookie series, and 2 Jordan fleet sharp shooters that I put into glass cases back when these cards came out and I just took them out of the glass cases today because the cases have been all scratched up over the years and I have some possible nines even possible 10s

oh bro i was in stitches with the jordan i would have been the same not knowing wtf to do
😅 man, I was in a pickle! Those two were stuck like glue!
Larry Johnson was my PC as a kid (still have 'em all). Little me would have lost his mind getting all those LJs.
So darn generous by Mr. Williard!
I can remember buying the crap out of these going after that PitK Jordan when I was a kid.
One method of separating cards stuck together like that w/o causing any damage is placing them in the freezer for a few hours. Afterwards they'll come apart no problem.
hhaha roomate opens freezer sees cards in there.
They don't freeze together and get stuck even more?? That's crazy if that works!
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR It really does work and makes the cards much less prone to damage when separating them. EDIT: FYI - I googled it again and maybe YMMV on this. 10:50 Even in card collecting, Isiah Thomas still messes with Jordan. 😆
You know what helps with the cards sticking together? Put the packs in the freezer for 5 minutes before you open them. I bought a box of sky box a few months ago and had to throw the whole box in the trash but made the guy give me my money back
Nice hits. Are you going to submit the other cards?
Now that brings back some good memories
REBOUND IN THE KEY ---POWER IN THE KEYYYY IN THERE TOO FAM
Awesome kindness, way to give back!
just got a 30 pack opened series 1 box yesterday from a liquor store for $20! can’t wait to pull with my big bro🙏🏾
To help prevent the cards from sticking together like that put the packs in the freezer for one hour and then let them sit at room temperature for one hour. They will not stick as much or at all after that :-)

I want to open 93-94 stadium club. Back then I pulled a first day issue chris webber rookie and traded it for a whole box of pinnacle hockey and some more basketball packs
Good box!!
Such an awesome gift!!!! Wow so hard to pull this apart, I’m gonna go look at the ones I have to see how they look , great video felt like I was opening with ya bud

Maybe use a heat fan..heat up the card just a bit..will unstick more easily???
These were going for $30-50 all day pre-COVID. I was at a card show where a guy had a stack of 5 for $30 each and wanted to sell them all for $100. Crazy times for the hobby.

Meaning....use your warm breath to seperate them without f***** them up
Yessir
wow..... seriously thats a plus you got a cool freebie
Insane gift!
Nice to know I already got it
I was told if you put that case in the frig it helps with sticking . not sure of true. I do have a box of these cards unopened and sealed
Does this box contain scoring kings?
I have the whole set All error cards any idea what it's worth
