Thank you for making this tutorial! As someone who also creates tutorials along this crazy AF vtubing journey i appreciate the work you put into it and I KNOW how much hidden work that actually is! great job!
Thankyou so much for making a tutorial that's super clear and to the point. I really appreciate your tutorial and it made fixing the wings for me own model a million times easier.
HOW did I not know you had a youtube channel?! Thank you so much for this, this is literally the first time I've ever really understood someone doing this! I have necklaces I wanted to use but they move with the head so I couldn't. Thank you for this!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've noticed that with this new update--after the transfer process, the bones no longer function correctly. In my case, I recently did this process on a tail, and while it's now anchored to the hips, it just does NOT want to move at all. I made sure the bones are correct in vroid before exporting and everything. I've used the Boneweight Transfer tool for what feels like years now, but with this new update, this is the first time I'm running into this issue. Is it effecting anyone else like this? (I also manually had to move the bones to the hips from the head, along with the strands of hair just like before the update, otherwise the tail would be anchored to the hips and wouldn't detach from the body, but it would stretch/move with the head still.) If anyone knows how to fix this or has advice, please help! ♥
Okay so if anyone is still wondering... It looks like when Vroid Studio combines meshes it also does something to bones, at least in 1.28.2 (I imagine it started when tails were introduced). In my case I had a bow in the back of my dress, and found the best result with each direction of the bow in a separate bone group. I left Combine Meshes checkmark on. So if you have a bow [>* and the middle with a single bone in a bone group * and the right in it's own bone group
Thank you! I have been wanting to re-bone my wings but when I would try it wouldn't work so I would just give up... Gonna have to give this one more try
Man I feel so stupid for not noticing it in the window after the update despite checking all tabs. I even ended up installing 2 new unity versions just to see if the Options tab would open.
Hello! I already installed everything but the option of Bone Weight Transfer does not appear to me, did you now what can i have wrong or what i do wrong? pliss i need help 😭
Hi! If you were able to import the bone weight tool successfully it should be under the “windows” tab in the tool bar! If you were able to download the same versions I used it should be there. I would try completely exiting out of Unity and trying again
