Fabi chose the long path. It's never easy to face Alireza, Gukesh, and Praggnanandhaa and beat them in a row!
It gets easy when it's rigged in your favor that you get to play with white pieces twice in first 2 game, including against Alireza who was his biggest competitor.

@@Fabiispedo”in your favor” doesn’t automatically mean “rigged” 😂
Yeah by giving blacks to Gukesh and Pragg in 2rounds! What an unfair match
Indians always cry stop crying and remove your emotional side it was not in favour it was already pre assigned before
The thing about fabi what i see on youtube, total class especially saying to nepo its my fault in the candidates
Caruana for FIDE President after he retires, tbh
So that he can legalise MAP community? I'm sure the chess kids and their parents will be thrilled to hear that.
@@Fabiispedo ???
Even then it’s still gonna be the same person as now.
Congrats to Fabi!
I definitely am one of the fans! Congratulations!
Fabiano had to win the tourney twice! What a mental recovery...
He didn't win the classical main segment.
"Twice", he was tied with three other players.
What 😂
Don’t exaggerate he didn’t win ! And in tiebreakers we’re favoured by giving him all white
If gukesh and pragg woud have been playing with white nobody would have complained so its just two sides of a same coin stop complaning at last nobody would talk about the mistakes pragg and gukesh made
"you can do a lot with an army" Fabis evil genius side showing :D
These are the tie-break regulations for the Grand Chess Tour (they can be found on the GCT website): "2.3. The players in the tie shall initially contest a Rapid Round Robin, with the pairing numbers determined in the following tie-break order, with player 1 having the best tie-breaks: Most wins, most blacks, direct encounter, drawing of lots." At the end of 9 rounds, Fabi and Alireza both had two wins, while Prag and Gukesh had one each. Fabi had five blacks, while Alireza had three. That made Fabi "player 1," so he had white against Alireza and one more white. Alireza had white against Prag and Gukesh. Prag had more blacks that Gukesh, so he played white against Player 1 (Fabi), and that meant Fabi played white against Gukesh. That left Gukesh playing white against Prag. I believe that's how the pairings were determined.
exactly
@@zyabayz101 This is for pairings numbers, nowhere does it say that it'll be used to determine colors. You've got it backwards, you saw what happened and tried to justify it by some rule mentioned in the book. If that was the case they'd have mentioned it explicitly, the fact of the matter it that they didn't think a four way tie for first place was possible so they didn't have specific rule for that and did everything on the fly.
Berger Tables for Round-Robin Tournaments
Where there is an odd number of players, the highest number counts as a bye.
3 or 4 players:
Rd 1: 1-4, 2-3.
Rd 2: 4-3, 1-2.
Rd 3: 2-4, 3-1.
Way to go, Fabi...hell of a bounce back!
Love Fabi's interviews
Congratulations Fabiano...... Well Deserved!
An incredible ending! Congratulations to Fabiano, organizers, and Fabi's army of fans! "Army! That sounds interesting. I can do a lot with an army." -FC

Congrats Fabi 😊
Fabi proud for you,,,,,
i alredy predicted Fabi will win
It seems that Caruana decided not to follow the script in the game against Firouzja; That's why at minute 1:44 Rapirila says "but this one was very adventurous" and later threatens him at minute 2:27 with the word "over", at minute 2:59 with the word " loss" and at 3:46 simulating a gun with his hand.
They keep giving the mic to Michael every time and he's never comfortable in front of the camera. Like Mazepin behind the F1 wheel.
Any reason why Fabi and Alireza got 2/3 white games while the other two got 2/3 black games. Seems unfair.
All I see here is the one who got two whites in a row won the tiebreaks and one who got two blacks in a row lost the tiebreaks with last position. Sucks to be Guki & Pragg.
The tie-breaks were a round robin. So out of 4 players, any 2 are bound to get 2 whites. Then when the pairings were made, those two happened to be Fabi and Alireza. Just bad luck for Pragg and Gukesh
@@harshikakhandelwal5906 Should have been a double round robin instead. Tata Steel was more fair than this.
@@wise_tamarin agreed
@@MadaraUchiha-iu3ld Bro go read the regulations , they base it on number of wins, fabi and ali both had more wins

Fabi 1st Ali 2nd Pragg 3rd Gukesh 4th
Waiting for the day that dirty betting invades chess. Imagine the scenario of the leader losing in the last round, followed by a 4 way blitz... Fortunes can be made.
Thoe fabi still the haircut not bad just alittle shorter on the sides😂

I still can't believe he is not the candidate. Gukesh is a very talented young player and he made a masterpiece of a Candidate Tournament, but it's ten years that Fabiano is near to Magnus, the only one capable of not losing a single game against the GOAT in their WCC match. In 2018 Magnus said that he rated Fabiano more or less at his level in classic chess. "Justice" is a silly word in sports, because only facts and results matter. But it's such a shame that we will not see him against the ghost of Ding Liren...

Fab I just got lucky by getting 2white! Otherwise Gukesh and Pragg would have won if they wouldn’t have got 2blacks! Seems like the tournament organisers had their favourite 😂
Fabi should thank the organizers for giving him 2 games with white back to back in tiebreaks, including against Alireza. They decided the outcome right there, Fabi just needed to play his part.
+2 in classical get you 2 white in tiebreak. There's nothing to thank, if you win more, you get advantages later on.
@@isaac7272 He wasn't +2, he was +1 just like everyone else who tied with him. Maybe you need to learn what +1 and +2 mean. Do you have an insider information that you know that he got more white just because he had more wins? Stop speculating if you don't know what you're talking about.

The schedule is a round robi system
Nothing new, its like lottery
In rapid section there was 4 guys
So two guys will play with white twice and once with black
And two guys with black twice and once with white
No one is complaining but you 😂😂
Fabi deserve this
