This. THIS is exactly why I love the original timeline. Everything just went so well (albeit with a bit of jankyness, but I don't mind that). It felt like the heroes had GOOD motives and duties and the bad guys could actually be taken seriously (even if they could goof around sometimes like with the friendships). MK Gold might be the jankiest MK to date (especially with those hilarious endings), but it holds a very special place in my heart. all the backstory, Full motion video, and the Gory action! I have so many good memories of playing MK4 on PS1 as a kid! If only i had a Dreamcast so i could play Mortal Kombat Gold! It sucks that all other Mortal Kombat games had boring slideshows as endings! i hope MK11 will have full motion endings for the arcade mode!

I believe 1999, it was an expansion to MK4, few extra fighters and stages on the Sega Dreamcast. Also had little bit smoother graphics and featured these FMV endings.
