This. THIS is exactly why I love the original timeline. Everything just went so well (albeit with a bit of jankyness, but I don't mind that). It felt like the heroes had GOOD motives and duties and the bad guys could actually be taken seriously (even if they could goof around sometimes like with the friendships). MK Gold might be the jankiest MK to date (especially with those hilarious endings), but it holds a very special place in my heart. To this day, I always boot it up and go for an arcade mode or a tournament @@VOAN

Yeap Sindel and Ermac became good guys, there are no revenants, Kung Lao was alive up til Armageddon, Frost is the only Kombat Kid in the game, Scorpion became the Champion of the Elder Gods, instead of Kotal Kahn we got Onaga the original King of Outworld, Johnny Cage got a hot wife instead of Sonya, Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot's identity remains a secret forever, there's no annoying Kombat Kid like Kung Jin, Takahashi Takeda, Cassie Cage, and Jacqui Brigg, Sektor went to found his own clan in Japan instead of partnering with Frost to rebuilt the old Lin Kuei, the Red Dragon sucks, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi actually win for once, the very much hated D'Vorah doesn't exist, Kollector is dead, Erran Black never work for Outworld, we get to explore more of the other realms like Chaos Realm and Order Realm, etc.
This. THIS is exactly why I love the original timeline. Everything just went so well (albeit with a bit of jankyness, but I don't mind that). It felt like the heroes had GOOD motives and duties and the bad guys could actually be taken seriously (even if they could goof around sometimes like with the friendships). MK Gold might be the jankiest MK to date (especially with those hilarious endings), but it holds a very special place in my heart. To this day, I always boot it up and go for an arcade mode or a tournament @@VOAN
Cyrax ending is surprisingly heartwarming.
