A bit off topic but today I learned that achilles, hades, Homer(the narrator), asterius, poseidon, chronos and polyphemus are all voiced by the same guy. Talk about talent 🤯
logan cunningham is just insane with it. darren korb, who does the soundtrack, also has impressive range as a voice actor. hes zagreus, schelemeus and narcissus.

During the huge Chronos AOE you don't have to be in the circle. If you time it right, you can dodge and avoid taking damage.
i made a post this morning about how nasty momus can be after discovering it is insane with white antler and oh. my. god.
seriously you could probably avoid boons in erebus and still shred through everything. i just had hestia on the special and aphrodite on the cast and i utterly melted hecate and uh oh. it was embarassing
momus is fkn disgusting. with white antler you feel like you're playing a mage. low ass HP but the damage is salivating

I wasn't sure about the new momus but tried it a few days ago and one shot the whole game. Insanely broken. If your enemy is sort of standing still, and you got three good boons for the three omegas, holy shit it's a massacre.

Question, why skip hades door in last reigion? Timmer should stop in those rooms correct? and then you get a little extra help in the last fight

Looking at the hammers offered at the start, those were changed in the patch, right? I don't remember those red drawbacks beforehand. They must be new nerfs. I'm not sure I like those. They seem kinda harsh (+30 damage just for hitting 2 attacks?!)
It’s +30% dmg for what can theoretically be +100% dmg if your build revolves around basic or omega attacks. Think past 1
You might be underrating the 2 attacks part here, it's basically a flat 100% increase to damage on both types of attack.
And keep in mind that the only boons that give a similar effect (Apollo's Extra Dose and Exceptional Talent) either cap out at a base 13% chance to double hit at heroic before poms, or force you go through the process and RNG of getting a Legendary Boon AND a +20 Magic cost on Omegas, which is the only type of attack/special it applies to. 100% chance for both types of attack, with no extra magic cost and no hoops to jump through is a HUGE uptick from both of those, making a heavy handed debuff a necessity to balance it out.

The more damage you deal, the faster the bosses die and the less opportunity they have to hit you. It's a lot easier to go hitless in a 10 second fight than a 2 minute fight. More offense = more defense in this game. It's a more than fair trade off to take a little extra damage because you're going to be taking a LOT less damage overall.
Basically every hammer was changed for the staff, so lots of new options that make the attack (as seen in this run) insanely strong, and preferable over the special as of right now.
And yeah +30% which isn’t really much, for the possible of like +400 damage if you get, say aphro attack and then crits from white antler. LOTS of damage that you don’t wanna lose out on, and will scale really well late game.
dual moonshot + Aphro on special is fun and has that sweet AoE. not sure if it is speedrun material though
Before the momus rework the speedrun strat was double moonshot with Poseidon special since the splash does hit the initial target, and then just mash special because it used to get +30 base damage from the aspect

I've turned off the cards already and it only gets me down to 70 health

Yes, frog gives bonus health.
yeah if you want to run a white antler/30 health run, you have to use toula (for now). plus the bonus revive helps when youre so low

Nope

It's a speedrunner save file that doesn't have the centaur unlocked

Why does the omega attack trigger like 5 times?
The aspect retriggers your omegas 3 times each.
Feel like they are going to eventually nerf Momus down to two procs on omegas instead of three :/

Just this patch, last patch Momus was completely different.
@@Haelian I actually think Momus is even stronger though, so was curious if the record last patch was faster or slower.
Had double attack hammer last night with blitz on the attack. 6 attacks thanks to momus triggering 6 blitz, with origination from the freeze special. Sadly I took local climate which ended up weakening my omega cast utility. This will be merged too I think. So much fun though

Why did you skip the Hades room?
It adds to your Location count which will cause more enemies to spawn in subsequent Locations.
16:14 is there a reason to skip Hades?
More enemies per chamber if you go through more chambers in the last area, so it takes longer to beat.

I've only tried the old momus like 2 times and it was so braindead I didnt like it not that I dont like op builds it was just really boring

sometimes it's just more strategic to save your rolls for later. sometimes u want the ability to highroll in a later region
I really needed to save them for the Well of Charon leading into Mourning Fields: getting a Chaos gate there is mandatory for a good time.

Why would Hestia on the attack be a bad call? If anything, having a double-strike effect would help build Scorch quickly.
Scorch would be good, but it's slow.
I think also the attack boosters like aphro, apollo, hera also scale better with crits
Scorch is just straight terrible if you're not doing a tanky run
Scorch deals damage way too slow in comparison to essentially all other attacks.
