I'm glad to see other males besides my self that like doing this . I always get told I'm get to much into my feminine side when they see me doing this . I love crocheting because it always reminds me of my sweet departed grandmother when I'm doing it . It was her favorite pastime activity . When I was a child ! Boy do I miss her so much ! I will always thank her for teaching me to crochet . I will always have that bond with because of crocheting .

+Chris Meadows It makes me extremely happy to learn of men who know how to crochet or knit (or do embroidery/cross stitch /any other needlework). My boyfriend (he also will hold my yarn for me) and a few of my other guy friends know how to crochet, and I can talk patterns with them! Love it!

This looks like an absolute dream to work. I always thought it would be very difficult but your explanation is perfect, thank you. I think I'd have to do the bigger squares to move it on faster with less colour changes but I'm definitely going to give it a go!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! Four weeks ago I started doing crochet for the first in my 69 year of live! I started with a small entrelac blanket for my cat but I didn't know how to do the triangles on the edges of the piece! So now I have seen your how-to-tutorial I'm so happy to learn to do the triangles! The blanket that I made were stiches pointing in one direction but now I want to make another one in how you did it in different direction! Thank you again and greetings from The Netherlands Europe!

My dad who was a surgeon and also very handy with all wood tools etc. taught himself to use a sewing machine! He got a big kick out of learning something new and enjoyed being creative and using his hands. He ended up sewing my brother a down sleeping bag! It was quite a feat! Keep up the great work Mikey!

I made the blanket with bigger squares, it’s more or less the exact same pattern and method except:
Cast on any multiple of 5 plus 2.
    (In the video, 5 + 2 = 7 stitches)
    I cast on 20 + 2= 22 stitches.
Carry on as per the video, always having 22 stitches on your hook, completing 20 rows to complete first centre square (instead of 5 Rows in the video)
For the second square, cast on 21, the 22nd stitch is the one you use to attach the squares.
    Continue until finished.

I'm left handed and have tried this stitch many times and ended with headaches and unfinised projects. However I have not given up. The tutorials I've watched do not illustrate this stitch for a left handed person, therefore I found that after completing the first row we need to turn the work upside down in order to create the"L" and continue on for success. You also have to keep stitches loose because you"ll need to go into them again. This work can be difficult because you must remember to count your stitches and rows. Even when you become comfortable doing this stitch keep counting. It 's very easy to get ahead of yourself and then you'll make errors and throw your work off. If you try to "fake it or make it" it will again throw off your pattern and project. It's a beautiful stitch, and hard on the shoulder. I am determined to finish a throw using entrelac. I'm currently constructing a throw and it's almost fininshed. Not perfect, but closer than I've ever come. Addtionally I entrelac from the center out and tunusian one square at a time.

Nadine Briggs......CONGRATS!! U just don't see very many of us lefties anymore. With that being said, you are so right many, many of these patterns are so very hard for us to do. Not only are they challenging to begin with, but being left handed makes it even more difficult. (Like u) I too was determined to learn how to do this particular style of crocheting. So when I want to learn something, I usually will Google or RUclips everything I can to try to figure the stitch out. I take lots and lots of notes during videos.
I never try to crochet while a right handed person is teaching me something by crocheting it. The reason is, bc it will almost always turn out backwards...lol
The most efficient way for me to learn crochet stitches is by reading the pattern, and usually once I begin I'm confident bc I've already seen the stitch/pattern being worked (by the RUclipsr).
I hope this helps you out. If you ever have any questions about anything I would be honored to help. If I don't know the answer, I don't mind looking for it. U have a blessed Labor Day, & plz plz feel free to contact me.

Lefty here again, I could not figure out how to get a flat edge after several attempts. You've done a wonderful illustration. I will try this method Thank you.

Just like to share this with you. My third. I am left hand and I made it with Bennet Blanket yarn. I call it my tummy time blanket. It's good for when the baby is on the floor. I was going add a picture but couldn't.

Hi Mikey, how are you? Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve seen or heard about this stitch. It is Awesome! I just saw it on one of my Facebook groups. I was enticed. This is on my agenda. I’ll be back when I am ready to begin. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care.
