On accidents in Japan; that's absolutely true. When I was in Okinawa, all foreign-owned cars had a little Y on the licence plate. The joke was the Y stood for Yen, because they were gonna take all of yours

A more fitting name for Ngo’s podcast should’ve been “Ngo Ngothing”. It would fit both the literal and historical context.
Does anyone have any helpful tips on ways to deradicalize a loved one? I believe my brother has fallen down the right wing rabbit hole via incel communities after his wife cheated on him. Any time I bring up the subject he becomes very cagey or gets angry. I can't believe my brother is a bad person, but some of the things he says now terrify me. I do not know how to get him out or help him...
I read an article where a kid who got radicalized by 4chan was able to be broken out of it by seeing the counter protestors when he went to one of the right wing rallies. Seeing them first hand not through Tucker Carlson reporting.

We ALL have to stop taking social media so seriously and giving it greater value and meaning than it deserves.

ah, everyone's favorite stenographer for right wing militants who aggressively questions anything left of far-right while leaving out every detail that could complicate his narrative-reporting.
he actually has astounding levels of access; it's very annoying how he doesn't ever seem to utilize it in his reporting. I wonder why that is.
