I used the luxyhair extensions for my wedding, and my sister did the same last saturday! when the hairdresser saw the extensions , he totally fell in love with the quality! Seriously guys these extensions are worth it! Thanks again Mimi for these tips! i got my 3 rd set a few weeks ago and i really like them! ( Rosa from Paris ;) ) Bisous
I have to say...I've worn my Luxys every single day for nearly 2 months straight and they have yet to tangle or lose their luster on me. I have not washed them, brush them in the morning, midday and night, don't use product except for Giovanni heat protector (amazing product, thanks Mimi) They look just as amazing as the first day that I got them and just today, a woman was staring at me then she smiled and said "you have gorgeous hair" I blushed and said "ahh🙈 thank you!" Lol! My real hair is very damaged and I'm in the process of revitalizing it. I'm so happy with these extensions. Gotta take care of them☺️and yup, I'm wearing them in my picture.
Hi love! Thank you very much for your comment! I'm so happy to hear that you are enjoying your Luxies! They look beautiful on you! :) Please feel free to share your photos with us on Instagram by tagging #luxyhair Much Love, :) xoxo
I just bought some, and they should be arriving Monday. I've just started to see more of the negative reviews, so I'm kinda nervous now! :/ Hopefully everything will be fine though...fingers crossed!
This extensions 101 video, tips and tricks and care helped me out BIG TIME! I just got my brand new hair extensions in today and I adore them, I'm getting more next week, thank you so much for this video❣️❣️
I've had my Luxy extensions for 2 years and I still use them, like once or twice a month and they're great, but i actually store mine and take care of them lol. I don't put any product in them at all, they don't need it they're so beautiful without it. I don't even straighten or curl them because they have a beautiful wave to them
I'm a hair stylist. Quick tip: tell people when finding a shade, go lighter, but not by much. Bleaching is way harsher than coloring darker and if your unsure and it's too dark. It will be harder and harsher to lighten then if it's too light, but if you go too light a darker color will either look muddy or cost extra by a stylist. 1 or 2 shades lighter if not exact is cheapest, healthiest, and easier. +Luxy Hair you did a wonderful job. I love your videos and hope to do my own someday :)
It's so nice to watch your videos because you are so friendly and you have a great sense of humor. I LOVE your hair and I'm really glad you know what you're doing😄
I just ordered the 120g set of dark brown and I can't wait until they arrive! Thank you for all the tutorials and care tips! You are a real inspiration! :)
Excellent - great video. BTW I was FINALLY able to secure some dark and medium gray wefts, but I've had to blend them with heat friendly white synthetic ones as they just can't seem to manufacture human hair in a platinum for some reason. So I've integrated them and made a couple of sets for different looks. I love them and so does everyone else. The hair is beautiful and they have fulfilled all my styling requirements. Thanks again for your help early on.
I'm finally getting a pair from of the chestnut ombré from my fiancé for Christmas! I was wondering what you used to wash them. Regular shampoo? And how to wash/dry them. Thanks!
I've just only started wearing extensions, and I am glad that I am seeing this video! Thank you for the very informative video and tips! I love your work, and your channel! Much love from India!
I have Luxy Hair extensions and I wanted to love them so bad. But I just don't. I was only able to wear them for a bout a month before the crazy shedding started. They get tangled super easy and it's so hard to wear them. They are comfortable to wear though. and the color matches perfectly. But my hair is so thick, I needed super thick extensions. So when I wore them the first couple of times they were perfect and blended awesome. I brush them with a tangle teezer to prevent breakage and pulling out the hair. I brush from the bottom to the top. I only washed them once in the month that I was wearing them. But they were still so horrible. I am sad. Maybe it was just my set... I dont know. But I took extremely good care of them. I kept argan oil in them. I rarely even put heat on them and when I did, I used a heat protectant. So sad :(

I've had the same pair of Luxy extensions for 3 years now. They are still incredible. I bought them as dirty blonde, later dyed them brown, then later bleached the ends, then later dyed it all strawberry blonde. I've only ever washed them when dyeing them, other than that, a quick brush has left them in perfect condition. They have been a dream to wear - sometimes everyday, sometimes only on special occasions. I also curl them with a hot iron almost every time I wear them without any apparent damage. My tips for maintaining luxy extensions include being gentle when unclipping so that they don't tangle when sliding out of your hair, not brushing them roughly, using hair oils to keep them healthy, and storing them in a box when unused - just like Mimi recommends - though in the countless situations where you want to throw them in a bag or somewhere random, it helps to give them a quick twist or plait them together :)
Did you read my comment? I said how careful I was with them. I buy sally extensions all the time and they have lasted me years. While my luxy only lasted a month. I know how to take care of extensions. and I was EXTREMELY careful with the Luxy extensions because they cost double what I pay for my sally extensions. Just because your set has worked well for you doesn't mean they all will. But I know how to take care of my extensions. I have already contacted the support team like they said in a previous comment. They asked me to send pictures and we are talking back and forth.
They're so horrible. I had mine for not even 2 months and they were a huge matted ball. Once the silicone washed off It was hell. The customer service sucks too.
I ordered Luxy hair extensions for the first time and I am so excited! Can't wait till they get here so I can wear them on Christmas. Crossing my fingers and hoping that I love them and wear them alot. Love your videos and love your personality.
Hi beautiful Gladys, I'm really excited for you to start enjoying your Luxies soon :) Please share some photos with us on instagram by tagging #luxyhair xoxo
Hi Mimi. You have so much knowledge of just about anything and seem so intelligent at what ever you do therefore I was wondering if you know if a good site that can help me start my own blog.
I ordered my Luxy's about one month ago and have only worn them about twice. Before purchasing them, I did my research and watched many videos but for some reason the hair I received was nothing like that. It literally gets tangled as soon as I clip them on, and I mean VERY tangled. After just brushing them I can't even run my fingers straight through them because they get stuck and their texture feels very harsh/not soft. Like I said, what I see in the videos is nothing like what I received. I really wish this wasn't the case because I've purchased clip-in extensions in the past for cheaper prices that don't tangle as much as my Luxy's which are "100% remy human hair". Wouldn't purchase again. Ps: just thought I'd share my personal experience.
Hi dear Anabel! Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you are not happy with your Luxies. Please e-mail us at info@luxyhair.com. We'll be happy to help! :) xoxo
Anabel Pena bellami is amazing anf they have some really awesome new sets right now. their newer sets come with storage for ur extensions! And they prolong the life span of your extensions!
hi, I love your tips and tricks. Could you recommend what products do you use for care of extensions. The particular brands of products. Thank you in advance.
Hello Mimi first of all lemme tell u u r really amazing.. I love u.. ur style.. ur luxy hair clip in extensions are amazing secondly I wanna ask u if there is ability to deliver the extensions in Egypt? and please tell me how can I get the same look u had in this vedio as u see I have a very black and short hair so I really wanna get this look its amazing one waiting to hear from you and thx in advance luv u 💗
Just bought my first 5 clip hair extension. Is there a specific brush I should get to keep it from getting tangled and knotted? I'll be using the extensions for a show that has lots of hairography in the dancing.
I have the clip fancy hair extensions and they are so good!! I heard the Luxy extensions are really bad, and I'm also thinking of dying them ombré idk if I should
Hi dear Sofia! Just to let you know, we stand behind the quality of our hair extensions are here to help should you come across any issues after purchasing. Please feel free to e-mail us at info@luxyhair.com should you have any questions or concerns. We will be happy to help! :) xoxo
Hey Mimi! My hair is pretty long, it's almost 24 inches, but I wear my Luxies for volume. I've had my set for almost 3 years now and they're almost as good as new. Thing is, I do get the problem with the hair at the nape of my neck getting all weird, but it's longer than the extensions... do you still think the braid trick is a good idea? Or would it look weird? I don't know why some people give bad reviews on them, but personally, I've had 3 sets of extensions throughout my life, all different brands, and by far the Luxies are the best I've had. Great quality and great pricing :)
Hi love! We have created videos such as How to Clip In Your Luxies, How to Blend Your Luxies with Short Hair, How to Blend Straight Hair with Clip In Hair Extensions. Please feel free to check them out on our channel! :) xoxo
So revisiting the oils from your scalp and washing. Since you clip them in so close to your scalp throughout your hair doesn't it transfer from your hair to the extension when. It runs down through your actual hair?
If you can't shower with them, how do you wash them? a special product? I've never had a pair of extentions but My friend put them on me once and I'm gonna be getting a set soon. Any thing else I should know about?
I have had my luxies for a year and a month now and I swear they look exactly the same as they arrived but again I only wore them 15 times MAX I remember 10 but yeah ? Luxy hair extensions are fr the best hair extensions ever
i want to buy some luxy hair extensions but i was wondering if you send out sample wefts because it is hard to tell what colour would suit your hair through a screen
How many packets of extensions do you use? I have thin hair, and I usually fill my hair up with plenty of extensions till I feel most comfortable and I use around 3 packets of extensions. I'm interested in buying Lucy hair extensions but I need to know hiw thick they are?
I bought a fairly cheap set, because I wanted to try them first and they are pretty good, but after a couple of wears, the bottoms started to get tangly and gross, like damaged hair... Is it possible that it goes away with the conditioner as well? And I have really fine and thin hair, and the clips are showing sometimes :( any tips to help with that? :D Lots of love from Belgium! Emma
Hey i just have a question. The thing is,i sew my extensions and i really want to know if i can use luxy extensions for that or they work just in clips?
Great video! it's always the top part of my head that makes it visible that I have extensions. I don't like clipping the top of my hair back. What would you recommend? I would love to wear my hair straight !!! HELP PLEASE :) x
If I wanted to curl them then next time straighten them is that bad and how should that process go do I use protectant? How should I wash them is there a special shampoo and conditioner I want them to last a long time I got them for christmas and love them?!!
I've never tried hair extensions... always wanted to though. Its just hard to decide which company to go with. Hair is expensive and i dont want to throw my money away.
Try layuri (: I'm getting my first extensions from them since my friend (who's a makeup artist) recommended them to me and has some herself. I'm getting the 18" and 120 grams and it costs $99 which isn't bad at all. The extensions are 100% human hair and is a good quality for a small price. Hope this helps (:
I am very new to hair extensions, getting my first pair Christmas 2014. I want them to last however I don't know how to wash them and what shampoo/conditioner to use. I don't want to buy fancy products but I DO want the hair extensions to last. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks. P.S. Could I use the same shampoo/conditioner I use to wash my natural hair?
Yes, since they are made of 100% remy human hair, they certainly can be straightened. In order to preserve and extend the lifespan of your Luxy Hair extensions, we suggest to always use a heat protectant spray prior to styling your set. Additionally, we recommend to only use a low heat setting of 120C/250F to maintain the integrity of the hair.
Should I wash my hair extensions right after unboxing If i wanna use flat iron to style it. Do they have vitamin e or any other chemical to make they look shiny
Hi love, they do not need to be washed prior to wearing the first time. Also, there is a silicone coating on the hair to seal in the colour and health of the hair. If you wish to heat style them, please keep the heat setting to medium or lower to ensure not to over-heat the hair. A heat-protectant is highly suggested :) If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us at info@luxyhair.com. We'd love to help! xo
Before I decide to purchase these extensions? Do they easily get matty? I bought the bellami hair extensions it's okay but through out the day they get super matty and tangled
Yes, Madison. We recommend that your hair be at least 6" long for better blended results. Then, you can also have them custom cut by your stylist to blend in even more naturally in your hair.
So I have curly hair, I wan hair extensions. I don’t shower often, and I can’t brush my hair or else it gets frizzy. Do I treat my curly hair extensions the same way? I’m thinking, as long as I don’t shower with them, or brush my hair with them in, they should be fine right? I can sleep with them in? I just don’t wanna have to take the time to reinstall them every morning.
Hey Mimi love your extensions. They are gorgeous. Pls try to ship them to India. There are many pretty ladies in line for buying them. Happy Holidays xoxo
Hi love! Please keep an eye on our Instagram @luxyhair and Facebook Fan page facebook.com/LuxyHair for any offers and coupon codes in the future. :) xoxo
Hi sweetie! Keeping your hair trimmed is the only way to get rid of damaged hair. The split ends should be removed because the hair will continue to split up the hair shaft until it breaks off. Using a weekly conditioning treatment is vital for extremely dry hair and a lot of split ends. You can also use intensive hair mask or hair treatment such as Moroccan Oil Treatment or Macademia Deep Repair Mask. Leave the treatment on for at least 20-30 minutes, or as directed on the package. Covering your head with plastic wrap or a shower cap will help your hair to better absorb the nutrients. Washing with a moisturizing shampoo and using a conditioner formulated for very dry hair will help you get the best results. :) xoxo
Also, how can you style your extensions in a high pony if your natural hair is collar bone length but you have the short hairs underneath? Just pin them up?
I used the luxyhair extensions for my wedding, and my sister did the same last saturday! when the hairdresser saw the extensions , he totally fell in love with the quality! Seriously guys these extensions are worth it!

Thank you!!!
Hi there! Please refer to this video which explains best washing practices for your Luxy Hair extensions: ruclips.net/video/sn8JKzwQxiU/видео.html
I loved the trick at the end of the video for hiding the short hair in a braid that's really so smart
loved the braid tip! it will actualy help me hold my hair extasions in place , cus my hair is so soft and thin my extention just falls slowlly :{
I ordered my Luxy's about one month ago and have only worn them about twice. Hi Luxy Girls :) how do we feel about deep conditioning and/or oiling the extensions (e.g. With coconut oil)?
OMG how do your bangs stay so perfect?????💁
So revisiting the oils from your scalp and washing. Since you clip them in so close to your scalp throughout your hair doesn't it transfer from your hair to the extension when. It runs down through your actual hair?
It should not have much of an impact, Alayni. Also, to prevent this, you can simply clip them in about half an inch to an inch from your scalp.
This is helping my hair so much!!!!
If you can't shower with them, how do you wash them? a special product? I've never had a pair of extentions but My friend put them on me once and I'm gonna be getting a set soon. Any thing else I should know about?
Thank you SO much for sharing!! such great tips!!! xxx

I've never tried hair extensions... always wanted to though. Its just hard to decide which company to go with. Hair is expensive and i dont want to throw my money away.
Its the same with me
Try layuri (: I'm getting my first extensions from them since my friend (who's a makeup artist) recommended them to me and has some herself. I'm getting the 18" and 120 grams and it costs $99 which isn't bad at all. The extensions are 100% human hair and is a good quality for a small price. Hope this helps (:
Cool thank you I'll check them out
Mine just came in yesterday and I love them so much! I miss having long hair so much lmao
charlene newcomb I've had Luxy hair extensions for several months now and I absolutely Love them!
I would like to know is it good to use serum in my extentions? Luxy Hair
I am very new to hair extensions, getting my first pair Christmas 2014. I want them to last however I don't know how to wash them and what shampoo/conditioner to use. I don't want to buy fancy products but I DO want the hair extensions to last. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks. P.S. Could I use the same shampoo/conditioner I use to wash my natural hair?
any tips for straightening them? i got my luxies and they are pretty wavy/ crimpy and i want them straighter since my natural hair is straight
Thank you for the response Mimi. I appreciate it!
Wondering if clip Extensions r good for hide alopecia on the top part..
Thank you for sharing tricks hair extension
Should I wash my hair extensions right after unboxing If i wanna use flat iron to style it. Do they have vitamin e or any other chemical to make they look shiny
Hi love, they do not need to be washed prior to wearing the first time. Also, there is a silicone coating on the hair to seal in the colour and health of the hair. If you wish to heat style them, please keep the heat setting to medium or lower to ensure not to over-heat the hair. A heat-protectant is highly suggested :) If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us at info@luxyhair.com. We'd love to help! xo
@luxyhair what color is your original hair that’s it blends so easy
Hi dear Brenda, Mimi's hair is an Ombre Chestnut in this video. It fades from a very dark brown to a chestnut brown on the ends 👍
Before I decide to purchase these extensions? Do they easily get matty? I bought the bellami hair extensions it's okay but through out the day they get super matty and tangled
Can you please do a eleven strand braid? Please
Can you wear hair extensions if your hair is shoulder length? Or will it not blend because the hair is too short?
Yes, Madison. We recommend that your hair be at least 6" long for better blended results. Then, you can also have them custom cut by your stylist to blend in even more naturally in your hair.
what deep conditioner would you recommend using on hair extensions?
Hi darling Robin! We enjoy the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask. :) xoxo
Oh my goodness, you are pulling/brushing that hair extension so merciless :(
We will keep oil for hair extension and how many days we have to wash

You probably don’t know how to take care of hair extensions properly
Mimi, u're such a wonderful happy to go person!! Stay Blessed xoxo. :-)
I really like all ur videos! I wish I could try all ur hairstyles at the same time. Are u Indian?
Hey Mimi love your extensions. They are gorgeous. Pls try to ship them to India. There are many pretty ladies in line for buying them.

Hi I was wondering if you could give me tips of some sort to "remove" my dead/split ends without chopping off several inches all over
:) xoxo
nice video on tips and care...
Hey! I like your video :) I've made once pretty similar about how to make your hair grow faster. I'm happy I've found your channel! ^^
О Мими, спасибо большое за "фокус", теперь буду этот метод применять. Приятно на тебя смотреть ;)
Also, how can you style your extensions in a high pony if your natural hair is collar bone length but you have the short hairs underneath? Just pin them up?
Yes, you can pin the hair that falls underneath up with bobby pins. It will likely be concealed behind the ponytail :)
which color is that on luxy sit? ombre chestnut or ombr blonde?
This is the beautiful Ombre Blonde colour :)
