First time ever trying to bale hay , just purchased a ap45 , I’ve given it a birthday , new belt , sharpened knives , changed the drive oil ect . About a month out from the season and can’t wait to get into it . Good to see others still in use .
It’s a great mid capacity baler, for small jobs making maybe 3k bales a year it’s perfect, if u wanted to take bigger rows and do 6k plus a year, a 63 would be the machine
I had an AP45, but could never get it to work consistently good. Somehow the knots would keep on being to loose, and resulting in a lot of broken bales. Secondly it often had problems cutting the twine. But damn this one chews in the hay like it was NOTHING. Man I miss bailing
The knotters just needed some tlc, we had an issue with it missing knots and it was because the dogs legs was loose, half a turn with a 13mm and it was perfect
@@Arunry17 the dog leg on it could be loose, it’s the right angled bit of metal that catches the twine, have a look and compare the left to right side, it’s a 13mm spanner to tighten it
@@benpower7116 I have not done any baling in 55 years, I left the farm at age 22 and went into the paper industry. My neck went out in sympathy with you. God Bless

Pozdrawiam z Polski.
My pickup table is stuck. That is very stange system.
Do you use a wide angle pto shaft or a standard one on that baler

Fair able to take it
Are you going full 540 RPM on the bailer
Yes full 540, and a bit with it for good luck
Hey Ben, do you still own this baler?
i do yes, its a family heirloom
@@benpower7116 I have same baler, the left knoter does not knot every 20th - 30th bale, other than that works perfectly. Do you know what might it be?

Too many jerky camera moves, makes one dizzy to watch.
Sorry about that, I had it on the head cam and I’m constantly looking around me, I was in a panic to get it done too
