Well that's too bad. There are a few more pretty good reactions to this you've missed but it's understandable since some were uploaded earlier in the afternoon. Yeah Joker is a good enough fit in Smash given the variety of fighters in the game. Also Joker does open many possible fighters at this point since this really does prove that ANY 3rd party character has a chance. I've got a feeling they'll go out of their way to continue to surprise us for at least 3/4. I say that because I just have this feeling we're bound to get one reveal that'll make a number of us feel the exact same way we did when Isabelle was revealed. Or even how we felt during the reveal for... Piranha Plant.

I've been watching people's reactions to different trailers, especially since we're now at the end, but I feel like Joker was a great way to start it. Definitely unexpected and I can't believe he's actually in Smash! Back then, I was only just getting into Persona, but now I'm a big Persona fan! Especially the music! 🎶
And that's why I love surprises and despise leakers and "confirming" rumors by gaming news portals. Would they be surprised like that if they heard Joker will be coming to smash? Probably not.

Smash can generate hype no matter who’s getting added, whether everyone knows that it’s about Smash but doesn’t know who the fighter is, or the other way around (in Joker’s case).
Seeing everyone's reactions to Joker being the first DLC, Sakurai has already sold the DLC to so many people by just announcing the first character. I love Persona 5 and I can't wait for Joker to be in smash! I saw the Game Awards live. I had never played a Persona game (except the first 20 minutes of P1 on the ps4, side note I now have played persona 5) but when i saw Joker and the E10 and up logo i got confused because all i knew about it was that its rated M. So when he started running I said (very sleep deprived) "Oh, i bet he's in smash." Needless to say i felt like i could give out *accurate* tarrot cards.
