I like how he made this on his own. The quality of the sound is so much better than other versions I have heard. Less agressive - and you really can hear the guitar better that way. After all - its not supposed to be hard rock in this setup. Thanks for uploading.

Slowing down is what I thought too, but then when you have mastered and love a song you do things to kinda make it your own in a kind of way. Cheers to this finger wizard and his interpreted loved of the song! Well done!

This guy plays the song beautifully and is extremely talented... and yet everyone's complaining about the tempo.
The tempo IS faster than normal and everyone has their own opinion. Personally rather than thinking “it is not normal” I think “it is his own version”. Therefor, I think it is beautiful.
I really like how this gentleman plays. He plays super clean, and that is hard to achieve.

This is beyond fine, its just about perfect for what the guitarist is doing, his cover of the song. That he can play it at this tempo is him showing his technique and skill - probably more than you lot have when it comes to guitars I'd say!
Does the song lack any heart or feeling for the pace, NO! This is just the music, and played accoustic like this is the very heart of music - just a guy, his fingers on the strings, and whatever the body of the guitar puts out. Sing the lyrics, finishing the song, and it's still brilliant (backing up Metallica's artistry in creating it).

How slow do you people want this to go? Any slower and you'd be here all week listening! It's a classical guitar, and doesn't have the artificial, endless sustain of an electric. Also, it's an interpretation of the original piece, not an exact copy. That's what a cover is; it conveys the spirit of the original.
Greg Nelson have you ever listened to the original song? Cuz if so you would know that this song is played much slower than what this man is playing, he played it very fast compared to the original (but he still played well and sounded well)
Wel i dont know but what i do know is that he played a 6 minute song in under 4 four minutes so yeah he should slow down a tad

You made it so much simpler to find the correct way of playing. Thank you, before this, my version was very bare bones.
Just to say that when you record your hart is pumping and you are a bit nervous not to do any mistake and this results in a faster tempo

You people fail to realize it is a classical cover not an original. It varies in speeds because it is in the style of classical which has varying speeds throughout it it usually gets louder as it speeds up going from forte to more of a piano tone. Learn your facts before you accuse him of playing it wrong.

Ik the sound doesn't sustain if you made it slower but I mean this is just WAY too fast. You could've slowed it down a little and I'm sure the sound would've still been fine. Other than playing it like you were in a rush, amazing interpretation good job!

Very well practiced. It is in no wise rushed (as someone noted earlier). It is entirely even tempo throughout, with very nice flourishes. Ritardando at the end is entirely expected. This is truly in a classical style (as opposed to other posters on this website who think they have done "classical guitar" just because they have 3 nylon strings). I don't really like strumming chords too much in a classical piece, but you have used it judiciously. Bravo!
