God, why is it so rare that something original comes out. it's literally like a breath of fresh air. I love originality. whoever this developer is, thank you. aaand I need games with the same atmosphere. Give me some advice, please.
This game reminds me of Rain World a lot. Virtually zero guidance. Atmospherical setting. Hardcore gameplay. A very personal game filled with the developer's passion, a rare find these days.
Interesting how your game character might be literally dooming a human colony to extinction by turning off their air feed @40:10, or at least forcing them to send people out on a very risky climb to turn it back on, only because he wants to keep descending and chasing the light. Well I assume those buildings with blue windows are meant to show a living human colony. Kind of potentially interesting dilemma put into the game, showing that you might even be harming other innocent people in your obsessive pursuit of the light. Edit: Oh yeah a later terminal confirms it is an active colony.

You find out that the owl you've been following this whole time was the lure from some demon that was feeding on your madness over curiosity. You go through a gauntlet and escape from it alive. A dude gives you a pep talk and convinces you to climb back up.
yeah that owl illusion was the cause of all of this tragedies,it fooled you to go under the structure and get further away, things got worse and worse over time, you no longer see the green, lives but death and miserable. The structure simply can't be escaped, but it can also reborn you(idk what that means).I'm not sure about the metaphor about going up and down but logically,i thought the game was about scientifically and the main character should have found his home again.Personally,i dislike the plot now,it brings us nonsense mythological aspects and no alternative good ending for player.
@@lanchanoinguyen2914 If you read the manga "Blame!", you might get an idea how stupidly big the structure might be. The main character even spends 5 entire years walking though a single pipe, which by average walking speeds and even taking into account if the main character needs sleep/rest, would still be over 20,000 kilometers of a single pipe. Entire civilizations came and went without a single contact with each other, the structure became more and more decrepit and leached out more and more toxins until the very air was poisonous. And this entire time, the character was only going one direction, deeper and deeper down. Whatever is down in the deeper structure is bad, because whatever can survive down there and influence others countless layers away is one bad mofo. If this game gets a sequel (probably not), I'm guessing the main character will just keep going deeper, deeper into the madness and horror.

I think the moral is that sometimes there is no moral, things simply are what they are without any deeper or hidden meaning, and in our stuburness to find greatness and meaning we are arrogant to the point of creating hells and prisons to ourselves, those prisons walls are only our choice to want to feel special. If the protagonist didn't fixeted on being special and finding its confirmation he would have be free from the begining
