I actually own 4 pairs from Frank’s and already planning on number 5 and 6. every boot is completely different and I had all designed myself! You guys are brilliant and absolutely genius !!! 🤘🏻❤️
Can't wait until the summer when I can finally order a pair or two from Frank's Boots! 1 pair all black with blue thread and the 2nd pair maybe something in brown? Decisions decisions!!! ...
@@arthurbarrios888 They were up front with lead time. There were no surprises. 12-16 weeks out. I bought US made Redwing 2411s in June of '21 and they were replaced under warranty because the upper shifted to the side on the right boot. Now, 10 months into the replacement pair, the entire single stitch came undone on the heel vamp from pulling on the loop to put them on and the goretex bootie tore so water floods in the back. They were $320.00. redwing is absolute trash. They send an email apologizing for my "experience" and hope I give them another shot. BTW, I'm an attorney and I wear them to work in my yard and to restore my personal cars. I suspect if you're a concrete finisher or power plant worker, I doubt they'd last 6 months. $750.00 a year for boots that are cardboard junk with ZERO arch support. I've kept great care and keep them clean and oiled. I'm done with redwing garbage.
@@arthurbarrios888 I've been meaning to ask you. Are yours particularly custom, like crazy leather or something like that? These garbage, 11 month old us made redwings aren't going to last me 8 months. I'm wearing Nike tennis shoes without toe protection bc the redwinds are killing my feet they've become so flat. Maybe another new insole can nurse them along. Every time I go for my free oiling and laces, I end up with a 40.00 pair of insoles just to keep them wearable. Thanks for your insight. Hoping for the best...
@@bigblocklawyer actually no, the leather is a simple w&c they had in stock when I ordered them. Franks boots are top notch and you will feel the difference right away, they make redwings looks like Nike shoes with the exception of redwings heritage line, those are quite decent. You’re going to enjoy them very much. I hope yours get done within the 16 week lead time
Frank's is a smaller shop, still makes custom fit via mail-order. Full customization, practically anything you want. Nick's used to be like that but now they focus on stock sizes. I called and they said they don't do custom fit at all now. Limited customizing as well. Just a big, mass production shop now.
Frank's is what Nick's used to be. Actually doing it out of Nick's old building, is owned by a guy (Frank) that owned and managed Nick's for over 20 years, and employs many skilled Nick's guys.

Have my pair of Frank’s for the past 6 mo. and love them. Can’t go wrong with these craftsmen.
Nice video!! 👍 I still enjoy my boots after 3years over here in NorCal.
That's great to hear!
@@franksboots526 Can I use pull on/cowboy style boots, that can be used for wild land firefighting ?
Cool Video.
Way to go, Frank, Your a Master at your craft.
What's the difference between Frank's and Nick's? Better construction? Better materials? Please answer with specifics, not opinions. Thanks!
